Don's smirk just radiated overconfidence. He had won this science fair way before it started. He looked at his project, a classic volcano. While it was a bit cliche, he knew the judges would love it. I mean he has used the same project for many years, this time going for a diorama were the top was near his head, at least on the table.

Don is a handsome nerd with darkish-brown hair and glasses in front of his blue eyes. In his opinion, a science fair for him was basically child's play with his intelligence. Don was one not to help others and work independently on his assignments, no matter had hard it is. As his grades were "perfect," he gained a new personality: narcissistic. But I digress, the nerd was currently dressed smartly: sporting a vivid pattern on his light blue dress shirt, gray slacks that were held up by his black belt, black dress socks, and black tassel loafers.

Very few people decided to join the science fair, but it didn't matter to Don. He would blow the competition away with his definitive project. The amount of people that showed were about twelve, all with awful -to him- projects.

The fair started off slow, not many people arriving due to the fact there were not many people into science on Don's side of town, but he could care less. Who Don really wanted to impress were the judges. He had heard that they could gift the winner with a large scholarship fund to a college of his choice. How he needed that! He had applied for others, but this one was the easiest one to get.

The judges shortly appeared, all men and dressed smartly. They were making their rounds, before coming to Don's volcano. The nerd arrogantly presented his project, explaining the usual facts of volcanos and how they function with developing their magma, erupting, and formation.

And then came the demonstration part.

Which was supposed to be simple.

After three failed attempts of trying to get his volcano to erupt, the judges took their leave. Don finally got it to work though after a while and stepped back to behold his progress...

Though he showed have taken a couple more steps back.

Don's volcano erupt with red slime, which gushing like a fountain onto the nerd. Don gave the initial reaction of being shocked as the torrent smothered him. His arms to the side allowing his dress shirt to get gunged, the residue ran down to his slacks and into his loafers as his socks were soaked from the filling. And Don knew he had a lot of slime in the volcano, seeing that he wanted to blow the judges away and is now getting covered in it. The sliming continued to gush him to no end, staining his face, hair, and clothes with red. The judges got a few smudges along their suits too, but not as damaging.

The volcano eventually ran out of slime to spew, allowing the nerd to have time to breath from the humiliation. Don had was certainly displeased about his new layer. Shrouding him was the coat of red, the substance having covered to his face and messed him his neatly combed hair. His glasses were also covered red. His blue vibrant dress shirt was adorned by the fresh coat, running down to his gray slacks and black buckle belt. Said slacks were stained along with his black dress socks that were soggy from the filling in his formerly black tassel loafers, which also suffered the deluge.

Don turned back to the judges and gave a sheepish smile at the development. He saw their suits hand splattered with red in various areas, but not as messy as him. The judges had neutral expressions, but Don could tell that they were furious with him. Without saying a word, the judges left in a huff and a humiliated Don was left in the volcanic "magma" he had created.

Don let a groan once they were out of earshot and facepalmed. He was SO not getting that scholarship or doing another volcano for a science fair in a long time.
