Melanie was sitting in the apartment she shared with her best friend and lover, Susie, eating an afternoon snack of kettle chips when her phone rang. She had lived in LA for 10 months trying to get acting jobs. Her dream, of course, was to win an Academy award, but at this point, she just wanted a paycheck. Prior to moving to LA she had graduated with a degree in acting and had starring roles in several school productions. Hollywood seemed like it should be perfect for a 5'8" blue-eyed, blonde-haired, workout girl. But Melanie quickly learned that there were hundreds of women just like her.
Susie was always supportive and paid most of their bills as she had a steady job as a makeup artist. Melanie took more acting classes and even took a few improv classes to try down the comedic route of acting. This is where the phone call came into play. The call was from the person who taught her improv classes, Jerry.
"Hey Melanie, how are you doing?"
"I'm ok, hanging in there at the moment." She was lying but didn't want to come across as desperate.
"Well, I wanted to see if you might be interested in doing an audition for a commercial shoot?"
Melanie had done a few auditions for commercials but never made it past the first cut. "I mean, sure, but I haven't had any luck with those so far."
"I know the guy shooting this commercial and when he described it to me, I immediately thought of you."
"That's super flattering. Thanks!"
"There's one thing that you need to do though to seal the deal."
Melanie's mind went to the worst possible scenario when Jerry said that. She fully expected him to say she had to sleep with the director, and she had promised herself to just quit if it came to that. "Jerry...I don't think I can-"
"No, no, no, no! Let me finish. The commercial is to feature a beautiful woman who gets surprised by a pie in the face. The director wants to see how you act surprised when that happens. So I need you to make a video audition tape of you getting hit with a pie and having an amazingly surprised reaction and email it back to me by Thursday night. Can you do that?"
"Uh...sure...any tips or suggestions for me? I've never been pied before."
"Do it and record several different takes and pick the best one, the one where you have the best reaction. I would also use shaving cream for the pies because it's easier to clean up and do again."
"Ok, I'll see what I can come up with. Thanks for thinking of me Jerry." Melanie set her phone down and walked into the kitchen, where Susie was getting a glass of water.
"So, did you just tell someone you had never been pied before? What are you getting yourself into?" Susie asked with a grin on her face.
"I guess you heard the conversation."
"Well, I didn't hear him, but I heard you. So, what's the story?"
Melanie explained the details that Jerry had given her and quickly realized she only had a day to make the recording happen as it was already Wednesday afternoon. "Can you help me with this audition tape?"
"So, you're asking me if I can pie you in the face, multiple times, and record all of them? I would do this if it wasn't even for a job." Susie responded laughing.
"I'm regretting this already..." Melanie laughed, giving her lover a kiss. "Let's go to the store and get the supplies."
They ran over to the local grocery store and while there had a debate about whether to use actual pie crusts, pie tins, or paper plates as the delivery method for the pies. They ultimately ended up buying a couple of crusts and pie tins, already having paper plates at the apartment. Then they picked up 10 cans of shaving cream, which seemed like a lot, but Melanie didn't want to have to make a return trip to the store to get more. And she was committed to getting this done perfectly, no matter how many takes it took.
Back at the apartment, Melanie went to get herself ready as if it were a regular audition tape, fixing her hair and makeup and putting on a casual-looking nice dress that highlighted her ample cleavage. Susie prepped the audition area, which was the second bedroom in the apartment. Melanie came into the room, looking great as always. "This look ok to immediately get ruined?"
"I'd say so, although I much prefer to see you naked."
"Maybe when we're done...let's get this started."
Melanie moved over to the middle of the room, where the webcam from their laptop could get a good shot of her. Susie stood next to the laptop, holding the paper plate, piled high with shaving cream, doing her best not to giggle out loud at the thought of what she was about to do.
"How are you going to do this?" Melanie asked.
"I'll countdown from five using my fingers and when I get to one, I'll push the pie into your face. Remember to act surprised." Susie responded with no intention of actually counting down to one, figuring an earlier push of the pie would help with the surprise.
"Ok, let me take a breath. I'm nervous for some reason."
"Don't be nervous, have fun with this first one, we've got plenty of supplies to try this all night long to get it right."
"I feel like you're looking forward to this a little too much."
Susie grinned and batted her eyelids back at Melanie. "Whatever do you mean? I'm here to help you get a job."
Melanie rolled her eyes and motioned for Susie to start recording. Melanie looked directly at the webcam, smiling while Susie held up her hand counting down from five using her fingers...Five...four...three...and Susie pushed the pie into Melanie's face. She smeared it around, using the paper plate, before pushing it down her chin, letting the plate drop to the floor. Melanie opened her mouth wide and then quickly closed it once she got a taste of the shaving cream in her mouth. She wiped her eyes and tried to look directly into the webcam.
Susie started laughing and stopped the recording. "I don't think that's the look they are going to want..."
Melanie was laughing as she tried to wipe the shaving cream away from her mouth. "That does not taste good."
"You're not supposed to eat it."
"Play it back for me. I want to see it."
Susie hit play on the video and they both laughed as the pie was smashed into Melanie's face. They laughed even harder when Melanie got some in her mouth and reacted to the taste of the shaving cream. "Go get cleaned up and we'll try it again. Maybe I'll use less shaving cream this time?"
Melanie flicked some of the cream at Susie and went back into the bathroom to clean herself up and redo her hair and makeup.
Susie watched the video a few more times, laughing at it every single time. She got the next pie ready, this time using one of the pie tins and this time using a little less shaving cream. Melanie came back in a few minutes later ready for take number two. "Let's do this!"
Susie turned on the camera as Melanie posed in front of it. Susie pushed the pie tin full of shaving cream into Melanie's face and smeared it with a little bit of force. As she pulled her hand back, the pie tin remained stuck on her face. They both waited a moment for it to drop but it just stayed there, stuck on Melanie's face until Melanie reached up with her hands and pulled it down. "So much for the surprised look..." Melanie said quietly.
But Susie just laughed out loud. "Ok, maybe no pie tin for take number three."
Melanie cleaned herself up again and Susie prepped another paper plate with shaving cream. "I feel like there's a whole can of shaving cream up my nose."
"If you don't get this right soon, there will be an entire can up there. Are you ready to act surprised?"
"Sure."
As soon as Susie turned on the camera, she slammed the paper plate into Melanie's face. The plate quickly dropped off and Melanie opened her mouth agape and wiped her eyes slowly. It seemed like a fairly good take until some shaving cream got into her mouth and she made that face again.
"Dammit!" Melanie yelled.
"Ok, I've got an idea. Go get cleaned up again and let me see if we can make this work." Susie comforted her lover.
In the bathroom, Melanie did her hair and makeup for the fourth time that day, It was already evening and she feared she would be up all night doing this in order to get it right. She came back into the room where Susie was waiting for her, with a big grin on her face.
"What is that look for?" Melanie asked, not completely trusting her lover.
"Just go with it and let's see what happens."
Melanie posed for the camera again as Susie turned it on. Melanie saw Susie counting down from five again using her fingers and waited for the moment to come. And at the number two, it did, with Susie slamming a pie into her face. But this pie was different. There was the pie tin, and a pie crust and the pie was nothing but spray whipped cream. As the pie dropped onto her dress, Melanie did her best to act surprised as she wiped her eyes clear. She definitely didn't mind the taste of this cream, which ended up being the problem as they watched the video together. In the video, Melanie was licking her lips instead of opening her mouth as if she were surprised. So, they would need to do another take and now she had to wear something else as the whipped cream had stained her dress.
"Let's take a break." Susie said, sensing that Melanie was getting frustrated.
They heated up some food and sat on the couch flipping through channels on the tv. Eventually, Melanie was able to laugh at herself and the situation she was in. She was in a better frame of mind and decided to give it another try. As Melanie got herself ready in the bathroom, Susie opened up her laptop and began to search for videos of people getting surprised with a cream pie. Most of what she found were kids playing that Pie Face game, but she did find some videos of adults getting pied when they least expected it. Susie was enjoying the videos when Melanie came back out wearing one of Susie's favorite dresses.
"I've decided that you should use shaving cream for the pies. I'm going to do my best to not eat it."
"Sounds good to me. But before you go, watch some of these videos with me." And with that, Susie pulled up a few on the tv to show Melanie.
They laughed at the videos as they sat with their legs intertwined on the couch. "You're the best," Melanie said as the last video played. "I'm so glad I get to share this with you. I'd be a mess without you."
"Hopefully, you're going to be a mess with me. Let's get this done so we can go to bed tonight."
They went into the room with the laptop and camera and Susie filled another paper plate with shaving cream. "Ready?"
"I'm ready."
Susie turned the camera on and let Melanie pose for a while. She looked really good with her hair and makeup all done up nice. And that dress fit her perfectly. She almost got distracted and forgot what she was supposed to do. Without a countdown or anything, Susie pushed the shaving cream pie into her face. Melanie did the face she saw others do in the videos they watched before she wiped her eyes clear and looked around incredulously. Susie stopped the camera and clapped.
"That was great!"
"I hope so. It felt better than the other ones."
They watched the video and this one was by far the best one they had filmed. Susie looked over at the clock, it was 9 pm. "I think we have time for one more. I think we try one more to see if you can do it better?"
"I think I'm getting the hang of this now. Let's do one more tonight and no matter what happens with that one, we've got tomorrow to work on it too."
"Well, I have to be on set at 11 am tomorrow, so we'll have to get up early if this doesn't work tonight."
"Let's make it work tonight," Melanie said as she retreated to the bathroom to get herself ready again.
Susie, however, was already convinced that Melanie had her audition tape video. She was perfect in that last one. This last video was going to be for her. She prepped her plan and impatiently waited for Melanie to return.
About 30 minutes later Melanie returned looking as beautiful as ever. "I'm ready to make the best pie face ever!"
"I know you are, sweetie," Susie responded, giggling on the inside.
Susie started the camera and let Melanie pose for even a little bit longer this time. Finally, Susie pushed the paper plate of shaving cream into Melanie's face. Just as before, the plate dropped down onto Melanie's dress and her mouth was agape with surprise. But this time, as Melanie went to wipe her eyes clear, Susie slammed two more plates of shaving cream onto the sides of Melanie's head as a sort of pie sandwich. Melanie shrieked in surprise. And before Melanie could respond, Susie smashed another shaving cream pie directly on the top of Melanie's head.
Then Susie lifted Melanie's dress, pulled down her panties, and slammed another shaving cream pie directly onto her ass. As Melanie reached around to try and grab Susie, Susie lifted the dress again and slammed a shaving cream pie into her crotch. And to finish it off, Susie had a very large shaving cream pie, in a pie tin, with a pie crust, which she planted directly into Melanie's face.
Both of them were laughing and Melanie ended up slipping on the tile floor and fell down on her shaving cream-covered ass on the tile. "You are going to pay for this."
"What do you mean? I helped you get the best surprise reaction of the day. You were great!"
"I don't think you should watch any more pie videos on the internet. They give you too many ideas."
Melanie made her way to the bathroom and took a shower while Susie cleaned up the mess that now had taken over the spare bedroom. She did watch the video of what had just happened and loved every second of it. She thought to herself, "I'll have to do this again."
Melanie came to bed right after her shower and the two made love that night. Susie apparently turned on by that evening's activities.
