Marie was nervous but excited. The job interview she was attending should be an easy one. She'd worked in offices for years & knew what she was doing, this would be a piece of cake. She checked her appearance, smart blouse & skater skirt as requested, bit of a strange one, but if it meant she'd get the job she was willing to comply.

She entered the outer office & was greeted by the receptionist who took her name then directed her to the waiting area. She stepped forward then frowned as she walked along, each chair had a big sloppy pie on it. She would like to sit down but what about all these pies, what was that all about?

Please take a seat the receptionist called over. Marie smiled & looked down at all the pies. Mmm, she would rather like to sit down, in one of those, as she felt the familiar tingle. No one else knew of her thing for pies, how could they, this was an interview, they wouldn't have pies so what were these for. She bit her lip & hesitated for a moment more before sitting down into a gooey pie, oh that's nice she whispered to herself, draping her skirt over her. No one else can see, right?

The receptionist then told her they were ready for her, just go right in. Omg, what should she do, she carefully extracted herself from the pie & luckily her skirt seemed to hide it. All that pie was still there & felt good as she walked.

Take a seat said the boss, quite a tall dark haired man with a pleasant smile, directing her to where she should sit, asking her how she was & if she'd had a good day so far. She felt at ease immediately & sat down unsuspectingly into another gooey pie. Ooh!

She answered his questions as best she could & tried to listen as she felt the gooey pie squish around her as she moved. How could she feel like this at a job interview she thought scolding herself for not being able to pay attention, as the boss told her what her responsibilities would be. She nodded & agreed at various points not really taking in what she'd agreed to.

Now I think we should have some tea the boss said & buzzed through to the outer office. Soon the receptionist came in pushing a trolley adorned with tea & coffee, & pies, oh, & so many pies!!! Marie had never been offered pies at a job interview before.

Now before we can confirm your position we need to make you aware of another part of your job we hope you will want to participate in, like all the previous staff members have. I'd hope you would be willing as it is a team building afternoon, held each Friday for all staff members, including myself. Its a fantastic way to introduce you to all the staff & have some fun. It might get a bit messy but its a great afternoon. Would you think you'd like that? If you agree we can get Part 2 of your interview over with now?

Marie pondered for a moment then agreed, she really did want the job. Yes, I want to take part she replied. Cool, lets get you ready. If you go with Stacy & change into this outfit & we'll see you in the entertainment room

Marie was shown to a changing room & quickly emerges, a shorter skirt & lower top, but still quite a nice outfit. She sees Stacy, & can't help herself, ta da, I'm ready. They walk together into the entertainment room & there in the middle is another chair with a big sloppy pie on it.

The boss smiles & says, please take a seat, you really didn't think we didn't know, you'd sat on that pie out there, did you? I think you liked it. Would you like some more?

Marie blushed a little then said yes, I do want those pies.

FABULOUS, you've got the job, & I go first, Marie enjoyed the first gooey creamy custard pie rubbed in her face by her new boss, who laughed as everyone clapped in appreciation. Here's to many more Friday Piedays.

All the staff members crowded in grabbing a pie then lining up to give Marie her welcome pies, As she enjoyed pie after pie, firstly on her head but then all over she wondered just how many staff members there were & what she'd be covered in next week. Her first week would be complete, would there be any special surprises to celebrate

Mmmmphmmmm, she couldn't believe she was looking forward to it. More pies please
