Whitney Zelenia Washington is the fourth and final member of what eventually became known among her peers as the Princess Posse. Whitney was born to parents Marcus and Angela Washington. Marcus Washington is a successful jazz musician with an impressive discography and the founder of Washington Records, a major west-coast recording label that signed some of the biggest names in the music industry. Angela Washington is one of the most sought after designers in the fashion industry whose work has appeared on the front cover on nearly every fashion magazine in North America.
Whitney had been the most popular girl in school growing up for quite some time, and for good reason. She had impeccable grades, she was pretty, sociable and even talented in her extracurricular activities. One of her unique characteristics was never seeming to wear the same outfit twice. No daughter of Angela Washington would be caught dressed in something less than fabulous.
When she finally entered high school, Whitney felt confident about becoming the most popular girl in school. That's the way it had been since she was little and as far as she was concerned. She was the prettiest, best dressed, coolest and she knew it. But something happened she didn't expect at all: not long after the start of the school year, she was walking around the grounds late when she was held up by two awful men. She was crying and about to hand over her cash when the new girl ran over with pepper spray and held them off. The school alarms went off and the school security quickly detained the burglars.
It turns out the girls name was Jennifer Vandersplat, as in the Vandersplat company! Someone like her could be useful to have around. Whitney was gracious, thanking her up and down for saving her life and Whitney offered to help her out in any way she could. As it turns out, Jennifer was running for class president and wanted some good word spread about her. She needed a vice president too, and had candidates lined up for the other positions on the board. Whitney never imagined herself doing something like student government, but decided it would look good on a college resume and accepted Jennifer's proposal. Had she known her decision would mean playing second banana to Jennifer for the next four years, she might have made a different choice
