Backstory: Jennifer was born to wealthy parents Jerome and Emily. Jerome Vandersplat is the ancestor of food tycoon Heinrich Vandersplat, founder of Vandersplat Sauces 1869, now Vandersplat Sauces and Marinades, best known for their popular and award winning BBQ Sauce, a staple of food pantries internationally. Emily is an Icelandic super model who met Jerome on a college abroad trip and now works as a fashion designer.
Jennifer had a very privileged upbringing. The kind of little girl who imagines herself a princess. Pink fairy tale themed bedroom, ballet classes, tea parties, the works. On her 10th birthday she spilled chocolate pudding on her favorite pink party dress, ruining it and infuriating her mother; since then her secret and greatest fear is being messy. She even goes so far as to avoid foods that messy, and rarely eats anything with her hands unless the social situation seems it necessary.
Jennifer excelled at her prep school and is a very talented student, though she is also very much an alpha-bitch. She maintained a tight group of friends but still strived hard for good grades and excelled in her extra curricular activities and continued that way into business school. She is smart enough to know that in order to maintain her lifestyle she would have to learn her family business, and graduated top of her business class.
She immediately started working at her fathers company at a high level position and is a necessary part of the team, though she is very strict and doesn't tolerate stupidity. She is a very valuable asset but also very snotty, but because of her skills and heritage there is virtually no chance of her being fired and employees have learned to live under her snobby attitude.
Furthermore, Jennifer is very competitive in nearly every aspect of her life, including competition in the condiment business. She isn't above trying to find ways to sabotage the competition and has done so all her school career.
Jennifer maintains herself very well. She is extremely proud of her good looks and spends a lot of time pampering herself in every sense of the word. She also does Yoga and runs in the morning to keep her figure. She is a vegetarian and limits her dairy intake which gives her skin a natural glow, rather than a fake tan look.
