Bake Sale BrawlStory by SethJambaPosted 5/2/21 874 views
"Mr. Phillips. We must stop meeting like this."
Avery rolled his eyes with a sigh at the classic introduction his professor started.
"In my defense, I was on time."
The professor pinches the bridge of his nose. "It is still considered a tardy."
"I still made it to class though," Avery retorted.
"Just as the tardy bell ended."
"So? I still learned."
His professor continued to ramble on with Avery comebacks continuing. If Avery could be honest, what is the point of meeting if he had a few tardies...
Few translating to about twenty five.
Avery is a charming man with dirty blond hair and teal eyes. He is currently attending Silver Oak Academy. While he was not usually tardy during his junior high and high school years, the campus of Silver Oak was greatly different with many twists and turns, in his opinion, to get to one class. But this was merely one class, the rest he got to on time, considering that he was in the campus.
"Even with all those tardies, you still must be punished, unfortunately. You know my saying, 'twenty five strikes and your out!'"
"A weird saying. What kind of sport was that many outs?" Avery muttered.
"So that is why I have already signed up you up for a shift at the school's bake sale."
Avery's eyes bugged out. "What?!"
"You heard me. Lucky for you, it is the last shift. Oh and don't forget to dress formally."
Avery's head dramatically slammed on the professor's desk, unable comprehending this development.
...
"... which is why I am now here," Avery nonchalantly explained to his two friends who were also at the school's bake sale, before briefly looking around for any passing people and returning to his iPhone.
Said friends are Aaron and Bryan. Aaron is cute male with combed brown hair and light blue eyes. He currently has a nice blue suit jacket, white button up shirt, a blue and gold striped tie, maroon cuff links, blue slacks, black dress socks, and black dress shoes. Bryan is a handsome male with dirty blonde hair and light blue eyes like Aaron. He sports a light blue dress shirt, tan suit jacket, red tie, light brown belt, a watch, tan slacks, tan dress socks, and brown dress shoes.
Avery dressed himself in the closet thing he could find to formal wear. Which consisted of the school uniform: a white dress shirt, gray striped tie, black dress sweater, gray slacks, black dress socks, and black loafers. For a small add on, he had a watch.
The bake sale was downright boring so far in the thirty minutes that had past, at least in Avery's opinion. Bryan and Aaron were here willingly since they like to promote school related things. But Avery had been forced and frankly he could care less with the bake sale. And there are plenty of pastries that need to be sold. Thirty more minutes passed and they, being Bryan and Aaron, sold four in a half pastries, one was half eaten considering Avery may or may not have snacked on one.
"One hour down, one to go," Avery said as he checked his phone.
"You know, you could help sell these," Bryan politely suggested.
"Yeah, I am not good at the whole "buy our product" stuff," Avery said. Plus he wasn't one to do work unless it was needed. This was not one of those times.
"Avery, the more you help, the faster this goes. We are down to at least twenty five pies left," Aaron said.
"So you want me to drum up some business by being a sign spinner but with dessert?" Avery questioned.
"Yes/Pretty much," the two men said.
"Alright. Fine. But if no one buys my advertising, that's on you two."
Avery took his leave with a whipped cream pie for advertising. He rounded a corner where he bumped into someone.
And when he looked up, he let out a groan, not in the mood for the person in front of him.
The man was Stanley, a constant thorn in Avery's side considering he is also a student at Silver Oak Academy. Stanley has dirty brown hair and amber eyes that were now in a state of annoyance. He had teased Avery since he started attending school and Avery always tended to avoid him. He is wearing a version of the school uniform: a clean navy blue blazer, white dress shirt, a multicolored tie, gray slacks, white dress socks, and black squared toed loafers.
Although I should say pie stained blazer, dress shirt, and tie. Given how Avery had plastered it with the pie he was holding.
"What the hell?!" Stanley shouted, "do you know how much this will cost to get this out?!"
Avery, with his not caring attitude, replied with, "If anything, this is an improvement," emphasizing the cream and crust stain. This only further infuriated Stanley.
"Why are you even carrying a pie? Are you late to a culinary class," Stanley both questioned and mocked.
"If you must know, it for the school's bake sale. And seeing how you have 'purchased' the product, that will be about ten bucks. Cash only," Avery explained and humored, not caring if he was angering the man he just pied in the chest.
"Hmmm... a bake sale you say?" Stanley asked, an idea of getting even entering his mind.
Avery, oblivious to the idea, decided to take his chance and get the pastries at the booth off his chest. "Yes! And you can help... contribute... with your purchase... in order... to generate... money...," Avery started, his bad negotiation and advertisement being present in his voice.
"Alright! I will purchase a pastry!" Stanley said hastily.
"Great!" Avery said before muttering, "then I can finally get out of here." Avery escorted Stanley back to the table, unaware of the true intentions.
"Nice collection of desserts," Stanley said, eyeing the pies.
Both Aaron and Bryan looked at each other with nervousness. They were not one to trust Stanley, given the history between him and Avery. Avery though he was getting rid of some pies so he could go back to his dorm and "relax" but his two friends were more skeptical, given how Stanley "agreed" to come and purchased a pie...
Which was immediately slammed into Avery's face, after being unboxed in front of them.
The victim had closed his eyes, moments before the impact enveloped him with the pastry. He was gobsmacked at the action whereas Aaron and Bryan were rather appalled at it. Stanley, though, had a smug look on his face, getting revenge for the pie stain on his clothes.
"Ummm... Stanley? WHAT THE HELL!!!!!" were Avery's first words after the whole ordeal.
"What? I think it suits you," Stanley replied, still having a smug grin.
Avery was rather pissed with the mess. So if that's how he wanted to play it...
The tardy student proceeded to grab a nearby pie and made connect with the smug student's face.
Now it was Stanley's turn to be annoyed with the pieing. He began to snarl a bit, which Avery returned with his own.
Bryan and Aaron just sat and watched, knowing what would happen next. Avery and Stanley ensued a pie fight with the remaining pies at the bake sale. Aaron and Bryan made an attempt to leave, but were caught in the crossfire. A few pies pelted them and their suits, much to their dismay. The two throwers were rather enraged as they pelted each other. Stanley made a dirty attempt, cramming a pie into Avery's trousers right on the crotch. Avery returned the favor with a pie sandwich to Stanley's head. The final pies were collided their faces, and both panted.
Avery had the products all over himself. The bake sale was raked all over his face and body. Whipped cream had smothered his handsome face and dirty blonde hair style. Lathering across his dress vest and collar, pie marks had tarnished it. The gray trousers were definitely stained, Stanley having plowed the pies into Avery's crotch as if he favored that part. Down the trousers, his black loafers were covered in crust that had fallen down.
Stanley was the same way. The desserts had been piled onto dirty brunette, from his face and hair. On his top half, the blazer had been creamed and the exposed portion of his white dress shirt and tie had a bigger pie stain than the accident now. Gray trousers consisted of crust and cream the pastries had provided, the latter substance running down onto his black dress shoes and white dress socks. But he had a pleased look on his face at seeing Avery trashed as well for the "humiliation."
Aaron and Bryan were not as messy but still had their fair share of pies along their persons. Pie stains were more present on their suits than their faces, but their hair was still mucked with cream and crust. The pastries had been littered across Aaron's blue suit jacket, Bryan's tan suit jacket, their respective dress shirts and ties. Gravity cause the crust to fall onto their slacks. Their dress shoes were not as messy though, having been under the table when the pie fight started, but still had some creamy streaks along the leather.
Both Avery and Stanley glared at each other, both simply infuriated with the current condition of themselves. Even if it was the others fault. After a while, Stanley finally spoke.
"Well... I see my work is done," Stanley smugly said.
"As if! You just took the remaining pies and flung them at us!" Avery countered.
"Technically, he was targeting you," Bryan said, trying to diffuse the tension.
"And you threw some at him too," Aaron commented, "not to mention, our suits are pied."
"Still!"
"Well, I believe I should be taking me leave," Stanley snidely said, before walking away from the scene with such an arrogant stride.
Avery couldn't be more thrilled to see the student leave and turned around...
Only to see his professor gobsmacked on the splattered students and scene.
"...Crap." Avery muttered. How was he supposed get out of this one?
