A Cement MasterpieceStory by SethJambaPosted 2/2/21 968 views
"Oi, put your backs into it!"
Thomas was all but patient when it comes to construction. Being an architect had its perks, designing buildings and such, but when it came to building them... he preferred getting them done at a faster pace. So as the workers were building a new two story house. Thomas did nothing but spectate and nag the workers to no end.
Thomas is a handsome 30 years old. He has blonde combed hair and currently wearing sunglasses over his green eyes. He is currently dressed in a designer Hugo suit: a grey suit jacket, white dress shirt, grey vest and slacks with the same light blue squares pattern, turquoise tie, red over the calf socks, and shiny black wingtip oxfords. He has a blue poppy along the lapel and a golden watch to match his posh attitude. The reason he was dressed like this is because he had a business meeting to attend to after the construction workers end their shift.
"Thomas, please calm yourself. They have been at it for weeks. Maybe you should give them a break."
Thomas turned around to see his friend, Walter. Walter is a 31 years old with blond combed hair, a brown mustache and beard. He is more sophisticated than Thomas, being more polite and less impatient than Thomas current attitude. He was currently wearing a designer Zegna black suit jacket, slacks, a white dress shirt, a black tie, a golden watch, black dress socks and dress shoes. He is currently sitting in a folding chair, drinking some coffee he had brought for them as they oversee the construction. He was the future new house owner.
Thomas sent a small glare at the suggestion. "No, they will not rest until they finish for today. The goal is to have the first floor done by today! Not to mention, they need this motivation to get the job done," the impatient architect explained.
Walter rolled his eyes at this statement. There is no way the workers needed this today. But Thomas was a little bit correct about getting it done. Hopefully then, he would learn to be patient.
But in the construction workers' point of view, they were at their breaking point with Thomas, not that they would show it. They had been fed up with this man and his impatience. Some want to go on strike, being done with his attitude and all, but others had a more... humiliating idea for the architect.
All they needed was time.
Thomas, unaware of the workers future plan, went back to barking orders nonstop. He even had to correct them twice when they were building. What he didn't notice is that the workers were getting for their plan. One worker positioned a cement mixer above the wet cement area. Another worker had backed up a cement truck near the wet cement as well. And finally, a worker had brought a collection of squirt guns, not with water, but with something a little more... fitting for the stuck up and nagging architect.
Thomas, without his sunglasses, continued to walk around the area, almost dead set on correcting every little thing in the construction zone. Walter had joined him, not intentionally but seeing as he was the future home owner Thomas had him walk around to inspect that he would be content with the future building. Thomas wanted to make the house perfect to the future owner's likeness.
And that's when it began...
Thomas heard a "cry for help" and turned to see a construction worker waving them over. Of course this was all a fade. It was really to make the architect -and to a lesser extent, the home owner- come over and set the trap.
Thomas and Walter walked over, the former have a impatient stride to his walk that radiated a pompous and the latter coming along begrudgingly. Almost there, the two noticed that their walks started to lack movement. This sudden action caused them to look down...
And see their respective dress shoes had stepped in a patch of wet cement. Walter remained calm but slightly panicking, but Thomas was immediately freaking out over the fact his expensive black Oxford wingtips were now trudging in the cement.
And he was completely unaware of the future situation he, his friend, and Zegna designer suit would be in.
The aforementioned construction worker turned his head at another worker, giving him a signal. The second worker gave a nod and pulled a lever...
Which activated the mixer and began pouring down the impatient architect and his friend.
Upon impact, Thomas felt the cement hit his hair, running down his body. The contents continued downward, allowing the navy blue suit to gain a gray coloring, completely contrasting the entire suit. Thomas closed his eyes, not want to see the what his expensive suit would become. Walter, on the other hand, wasn't subjected to the downpour, but he gained splotches on his person and suit as well. The grey contents splattered against the victim and the unfortunate associate, bringing glee to the workers, mostly to the former. The downpour continued for an decent 13 minutes, gunging Thomas to no end. The blasts of wet cement easily smothered him, his hair becoming gray from the substance, while Walter was stained from droplets that flew in his direction. Walter had a rather amused face though, seeing his pompous friend getting gunge.
Once the downpour ended, Thomas opened one eye before the other, feeling no more concrete being poured. The architect was able to see what had become of his suit... and was not happy with the predicament.
One thing could describe Thomas' overall appearance right now: a wet concrete monstrosity. His designer Hugo black suit jacket was now stained to perfection in gray. The combed blonde locks were now soggy, having taken the majority of the blast, and his face had droplets running down his handsome face. His light blue tie, white dress shirt, and gray vest were also stained, his gray slacks now had darker gray streaks on the surface. The blue poppy boutonnie and golden watch were covered in the gunging too, the former now removed due to the gravity from the concrete and the latter now list its shine. His wingtips were already stuck in the wet cement, so they had suffered from the downpour and his red dress socks were no longer red.
Walter was more fortunate, but not as lucky. The grey had splatter across his face and attire as well due for to the fact he was also stuck in the wet cement. Some of the flung cement reached his handsome face, blonde hair and beard. He had large splotches that ran down his Zegna black suit jacket, golden watch, white dress shirt, and black tie. His black slacks were grey "spotted" and his black dress socks and shoes had various concrete splotches as well. But unlike, Thomas, who was still in shock of the humiliation, Walter was far less worried about the suit.
Thomas' face switch from shock to rage in a minute. "What the hell was that for?!" He demanded to know why the cement was just poured all over him, not realizing the fact that Walter was also targeted and his humiliation was far from over. The accused construction worker just gave a shrug, before snapping his fingers. The concrete smothered architect and friend were soon surrounded by twelve other workers with squirt guns. Walter quickly held his hands up in surrender while Thomas' anger continued grow.
"This is all just a mis-," Walter began in the attempt to calm down the growing distaste towards Thomas, but he was quickly cut off as the squirt guns unleashed their ammo on the two, seeing how the workers were killing two birds with one stone.
They didn't hate Walter as much. Granted he did sort of have to make finish at a certain date, but he just happened to be in the crossfire.
Walter closed his eyes upon seeing the water guns activate as Thomas didn't close his quick enough, so his already gray covered face gained a new substance: white paint.
The construction workers unloaded every drop they had in their soakers, dousing them in white paint until they ran out. Twelve nozzles, two targets. You could see where this is going. The workers gave them a fresh coat of paint. Literally! The white paint completely trashed the already gunged suited men. Thomas did his best to free himself and succeed... until he landed bottom first out of the concrete. To make matters worst, Thomas was now laying back first as the white deluge continued. Walter, though, did not fight as much, deciding to take punishment alongside his friend. His very pompous friend.
The deluge eventually stopped, the ammo having ran out. And now Thomas and Walter, he had freed himself shortly after the onslaught, were finally free from their humiliation. They had now been given white paint coating. Thomas was official covered in white paint in the front and gray on his backside. The cement and paint had mixed and created a mixture that definitely stained both Thomas and Walter's designer suits, dress shirts, ties, and the gray vest the architect had own. Their blond hair was gunged from both, their accessories in the same manner as both of their golden watches were still on their wrists. Their respective trousers, dress socks, and dress shoes were completely trashed in the same manner. All in all, if Thomas didn't look presentable before, he surely didn't look presentable now.
Walter maintained a calm attitude despite being covered in the mixed gray and white liquids whereas Thomas was shouting, cursing, having a temper tantrum even though he is 30 years old, and demanding the reason for his humiliation. The workers put it bluntly, explaining the conditions and how Thomas nagging was clearly not going to help them work. So they decided to "humble" him and teach the pompous man about patient. Hopefully they made their point...
Or else they could do it again. And ruin other one of Thomas' suits. Either it's a win win for the workers. Humiliation or patience, his call...
And Walter DEFINITELY did not want to get in the crossfire again.
