So here we are New Years Eve, 2025 is nearly over. What messy delights does 2026 have in store.
As you may know, each day a UMD member is awarded the WOTD, based on likes (loves). Its actually i bit more scientific than that. Anyway, as we are at the last day of the year, I have crunched numbers and here is the WOTY (Wammer Of The Year) for 2025. This year goes to MessyGirl by some margin. A huge congratulations to them.
Listed are the top ten, details of the top ten, and a pie chart (of course). I've also listed a full list (ooo look I won it once, im still in shock).
I hope you may find it interesting.
All thats left is for me to wish everyone a very happy new year. Lets keep the mess flowing, and another year of fun, Laughter and goo.
Special mention to MessMaster for all his amazing hardwork, and dedication to UMD, my cap is forever doffed.
To be honest, I gave up on WOTD a very long time ago.
I've been here since the very start in 98. I've been a producer for 20 years, we started production in 2005, and over the years I think I've shot some damned good material. I've also always been generous with the preview images because I know I hate buying something based on minimal previews, so I assume my customers liklewise want a proper idea of what they're getting before they lay their money down, and that most people are honest and will, if they can afford it, buy scenes that they like in order to support producers and models, even if there are lots of free images of it.
But I've only ever been WOTD once, and that was when we released Maude's original PVC catsuit mudbath, a good few years back now.
To have any consistent chance of ever being WOTD you need to be posting lots and lots of nude wam images over a very long period. It also helps if you've a female name. I realised, approximately a decade too late, that had I named our site "Lady Jasmine's House Of Messy Mayhem" we'd probably have got way, way more hearts and engagement than we do. This isn's a complaint and I don't think MessyGirl did theirs deliberately, they just chose a name that reflects what they do - and hit paydirt by accident. It's also apparent from where the majority of the traffic goes that the ultimate key to wam success is lots of full nude young women. This may also apply in the male space for male wammers, I don't know if that operates differently.
But when you know a prize is unwinnable you stop thinking about it. The metric that matters, for anyone who produces wam, is "does it sell", and while I'm never going to be able to retire on the proceeds, overall our scenes sell enough to cover our costs and make a small profit - all of which gets reinvested in shooting more scenes. The real reward/award in the venture is the amazing model friends I've made over the years, the lovely folk I've met at splunches and in Las Vegas in 2018, and knowing that other people enjoy our scenes.
Agreed, the 'pie' chart is a nice touch. FWIW, I also think it shows that there are a few smaller, less-established producers that are punching well above their weight, and that's worth recognition. Well done, all you perverts.
