Just yesterday, my girlfriend and I got messy together for the first time, we ended up using whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and caramel syrup but now, we both have the smell of sour milk in our hair.
I am bald but I have a lot of facial hair. After we got done, I tried using her shampoo but that didn't do much, I tried washing the smell out this morning and that only helped slightly, she's had the same issue as well.
My question here is what would be the best way to get rid of that whipped cream smell? As fun as it was, should the two of us decide to do this again, we don't want to deal with this smell for however long. Any suggestions?
Sorry I don't except that Prell is a high detergent shampoo. But this reminds me that the pie fight scene in The Great Race was shot in two installments and the crew had to overcome the horrible smell from the spoiled cream.
gungedwam said: the prevention is shaving cream, and i'm not just talking about getting rid of the beard.
shaving cream smells nice, doesn't need refrigerating, is designed to be in contact with skin, and won't spoil
it also gives you thicker pies
Shaving cream has been my favorite substance for many years now, it smells much nicer than whipped cream, it feels better, and the only way it loses its thickness is by showering off, I think the only thing I like as much is brownie batter but that can sometimes be a pain to wash out. I'd like to get my girlfriend into shaving cream but that's merely a fantasy at this point.
Thanks for the tips, y'all, I'll definitely be sure to use non-dairy whipped cream next time and FYI, the beard is here to stay, it's become a big part of my look.
if you use dairy stuff for wam (cream, custard etc) then use a shower gel with lemon jiuce in it to get rid of it on your body - original source lemon and tea tree is particularly good. I've recently started putting lemon juice in my washing machine if I have dairy-wammed stuff to clean - works miracles
Ta to Candy for the lemon juice suggestion, a few times we've had to wash outfits a few times to get the custard smell fully gone, will try that next time.
For getting it out of hair, my suggestion would be to first have a good drenching shower with lots (no, more than that - use quantities like it's gunge) of good quality shampoo. We buy the biggest bottles of TRESemmé we can find for our girls to use, though some prefer to bring their own. But no cheap stuff, with shampoo in our experience you definitely get what you pay for.
Then, after the shower, hit the bath. A proper long bath (at least an hour, ideally two), again, loads of quality shampoo and then just float / sleep in the bath with shampooed hair under the water. And then finish with lots of conditioner and a very thorough rinse, using clean water if practical.
