What do you guys look for in the scenes you like and buy? Is there one or more element that is essential, or more important that anything else? Maybe it has to have a humiliation theme, or it must feature sliming? Maybe it has to have some 'other' thing, like a watch or white jeans? Maybe it just has to feature multiple hot girls?
Are there any elements that will absolutely kill a scene for you?
You might not like it, but your poll is missing the absolute most important dealbreaker for a scene... At least for (I'd estimate) 80% of the current UMD:
This may sound rather shallow, but I have to think the model's attractive, or I just shrug and walk on by. Other stuff like substances, coverage and personality all of course then matter to various degrees, but the model has to do something for me before they come into play. "Girl next door" is often just as good as a more conventionally stunning model here, but if I'm going to buy a scene then that initial buzz of "She's nice!" is essential.
Then again, this is obviously a sexual fetish, so that my preference is for models that I think are attractive...? Wow, who knew?

Anomaly.
It's also an interesting experiment for me. Which will sell better... A heavily advertised scene at a cheap price with all five of the elements mentioned above? Or a completely unadvertised scene, much more expensive and not too different from my other clips, save that ONE important detail?

The answer... will probably not surprise anyone.
Well, now that I know it's out there - I will be buying

This is exactly correct. You can have the ALL the elements I like in a beautifully produced video and will ignore it if the model isn't attractive.
This isn't a news flash. No guy is gonna buy wank material starring a woman he finds unattractive.
The problem is there's no "agreed" standard for attractive. Ask 10 guys on here to pick the "Most Attractive Model," and you'll get 10 different answers. There are models I've seen over the years that I personally don't find attractive in the slightest... But clearly sales and time have proven I'm in the minority!
Different tastes are a fact of life on here. It just tends to make it even more challenging as a producer.

The outfit has to be right, something I find attractive.
The model(s) have to look happy, like they are enjoying the scene.
We have to be able to see the scene properly, no shaking cameras or zooming in or jigging about.
We have to be able to clearly see the model(s) legs and bums getting gunged - not "pan down afterwards" - I want to see it happening.
Are there any elements that will absolutely kill a scene for you?
Nudity. I'm only into fully clothed WAM.
Low-rise jeans and trousers.
Model is obviously hating it.
Related to all this - decent previews and descriptions. It doesn't matter how awesome a scene is, if I can't tell what's in it, no sale. I used to have an absolute rule that I'd never buy from any producer who didn't allow you to enlarge the preview thumbnails, though I've now modified that in that I'll consider buying such a scene if there are a great many small thumbs so you can really tell what happens in the scene, or the text description is accurate and well written enough that you can really tell what the models are wearing, or there is a trailer that shows enough detail. Though making useful trailers is a real art - it takes me roughly three times as long to edit a trailer as it does to edit the original scene. A good trailer is worth its weight in electrons though for really letting the customers know what they are getting.
Finally, huge thanks to MessMaster for re-allowing bullet point lists in forum posts - cheers!
For me, the model generally decides whether I'll pay to see a scene, so the producers are absolutely right. If I don't think she's absolutely stunning, it's a no go. From then on, it's content related, and primarily I'm on the prowl for NAKED cake sitting videos. (Producers right again!)
There's a reason that the store listings at http://thewamstore.com are still separated into nude and non-nude categories. I discovered a decade ago that the non-nude contingent is an entirely different breed of fetishist and they tend to be more vocal about it. The market is still there.
I go the opposite way with nudity. I'm not interested in it (as far as WAM scenes go). I guess I like seeing clothes destroyed. I love naked women, I just like it when they put clothes on before getting pied. Something casual, like you'd see on the street.
Anyways, that's my random two cents. I can feel how frustrating it is for you producers. Keep fighting the good (food)fight.
On nudity. I don't care one way or the other. The situation, the mess and the model are paramount. But I found that I prefer producers who do not do nudity? Why? Because the scenes do not devolve into some version of what the producer thinks is erotic. Besides nudity is everywhere nowadays. Why do I need it in my fetish, which as a fetish, means that it is the "item" (pie, slime, mud, etc.) not the norm (boobs, ass, legs) that gets me off?
Bozo1 said: Are you saying, Rich, that YOU have hired women you don't find attractive? If so, why would you do that?
Nope, never. And sometimes it's frustrating... Because I would (very occasionally) get unprompted messages from models who wanted to shoot. There was no "convincing." They were 100% fine with getting pied. BUT... I just didn't think they were attractive. So I passed. What's the point after all? (One of them actually wound up shooting with another producer. It was ages ago. It doesn't matter. I think she sold well, actually.)
I think MY frustration is more the realization that just because *I* find a model attractive, that's no guarantee my customer base will. I contacted Shelly off FB because I liked her casual pics... No Photoshop, no filters, she looked like a really cute girl-next-door. And her attitude was awesome. Then after the first shoot, I just thought, "I've hit the gold mine! This girl is fearless & up for anything & does the reactions perfectly & has the best butt I've ever seen. Who isn't gonna love her?..."
FTR, my tastes tend to align with "yours" most of the time. The models where I think, "She's WAY better looking than most girls"... Those are the girls that do sell well. I think I have a soft spot for the ones that are less "conventionally" attractive but have perfect slapstick personalities (Shelly, Brin, a few others). Unfortunately, those are the tough sells. C'est la vie.

HOLD THE PHONE .... How'd I miss this?!
I'm going to have to buy this one, just for ... well, really for the boobs, but also for the comedy of Kylie being like "I absolutely cannot keep my top on, sorry" and Rich frantically trying to talk her back into it.
I would say the model and the mess are interchangeably important for me.
By that I mean, either could be a deal breaker. If the mess is great, but it's a model that has some of my deal breaker characteristics I won't buy a video. Example. Kaydens' looks waaaaay doesn't match my personal preferences.
On the other hand, a great model in a perfect outfit could be ruined for me if ya pour bean on her. Bleh, I hate beans lol.

You might be joking, but that's actually absolutely how I scripted it. Except she has to "hand bra" all the time which means she can't wipe away all the mess coming at her. It's also a shame I'll have to retire immediately. You know, "the day Regis buys something is the day...."

NUDITY.
Nudity never used to be the deal breaker, its only in the past few years WAM has gone that way. For what its worth some of my most popular scenes have been clothed.
