All evidence indicates that both twins get destroyed with pies, along with the multiple male guests. I've seen pics of one girl that got pretty messy, but I would expect the worst. Especially since this show has never been able to pull off 3 good shows in a row.
But as always, who knows? Show could be amazing... and never get uploaded due to copyright violations!
Eh, not a bad week, just less good. No super mess (i.e. sandwich ) for either side, fairly long game too, nearly 3 complete rounds.
The Good - Couple of good pies for Julia (who has been lacking of late) - All but one pie hit on the girls were good to excellent (the first 2 on Dani combined to one solid one, only Paloma's was weak)
The Bad - two girls (Barbara and one of the newer girls) went 3-0, something no guy managed. - One of the "special" punishments was a hard hat filled with pie filling, which ended up being a hair pie, basically. - Last question of the night had the dofus guy standing directly in front of the girl, so no footage of the actual hit (though plenty of aftermath, and there was a lack of close ups on several guy pieings as well, so mutually bad)
So an inevitable comedown, but nearly 3 rounds and 90% solid pieings works fine by me.
Continuing a discussion I was having with SStuff from a previous thread I found the television ratings for Chega Mais. My conclusion is that the audience is small and appears to be shrinking slightly.
Chega Mais airs on the RedeTV! network in Brazil. RedeTV! is the smallest of the five major networks. The network averages approximately a 1.0 share of the market.
The November 15 episode of Chega Mais registered a tiny 0.8 share. The November 8 episode a 1.0 share. The highest rated episode I could find scored a 1.4 share . The audience hasn't grown from May/June/July and appears to be shrinking. Their share is consistently around 1.0. I don't have any information how CM compares with other t.v. shows in the same time slot.
A new show that's unable to grow its audience in the U.S. would quickly be cancelled. I don't know if Brazilian television operates in the same manner. I feel, however, that CM is ripe for sudden cancellation. I hope I'm wrong.
And we should mention that Barbara, on days she's losing... only gets 2 questions tops. And she NEVER gets the pie both times... She basically forces them to do the balloon if she got the pie once before. But she has zero issues pieing a guy 3 times in a row.........
I dunno. There's never been a woman get 3 separate pieings in one game, EVER. (I don't think "mass pieings" count as the same thing.) Just annoying that multiple guys got it tonight. There were some solid hits, but this definitely felt like a "mea culpa" to keep the women happy. Let's just hope this doesn't become a trend. The two months when CM basically destroyed the guys every week was not pleasant viewing.....
I wouldn't worry about ratings. The channel has quite a few shows on Sunday getting below a 1.0 ratings. Chega Mais is their third or fourth biggest program of Sunday, I think.
The other channels look to get better ratings throughout the day, but that's with all their shows across the board. I'm guessing RedeTV is similar to the WB (or FOX when they were first starting out) and doesn't expect to get the same ratings as the Brazilian equivalent of CBS, NBC, or ABC.
Plus... Sunday at 5:30. That feels like a low-risk slot.

Yes. The time slot is a black hole. And you fill a television black hole with an eccentric show like CM and hope for the best. However, I'm sure the network doesn't like the fact that the show apparently has fewer viewers today than it did in June.
If I interpreted the ratings correctly a 1.0 share equals about 195K viewers. Therefore CM has an audience of approximately 170K to 220K viewers. They must be paying the models with food stamps (and pies).
No doubt. Official count: 8 pies for the girls, 17 pies for the guys. :-S
And yes, that's as brutal as it sounds... Two different idiots (I use that term in the absolute sense) got three apiece, I think another four got two apiece, and the "smartest" ones only got one apiece. FTR, no woman in Chega Mais history has ever been pied on three different occasions in one show, nor has there ever been a show where every single woman (or even less than three) went unpied.
And on top of that... The two weakest pie hits were both given to women, and the one time the camera operator didn't bother to film a close-up shot was, naturally, a really good pieing of a woman.
Even so... There was still some GREAT pie hits. But as with a lot of CM shows, the wasted potential is staggering. Any show that's gonna deliver upwards of 25 pies in a half hour should wind up with MOST of the females covered, rather than half the team basically spotless.
But anyway... I've always said I have no issue with the show favoring the women (they've been doing that since the 2nd month), as long as the totals are "roughly" equal. 20 pies for the guys? Fine... If you give 18 to the women. So the show is quickly approaching the FIRST half of that equation... Just hope next week's round runs just as long but tips more in our favor. (And no "pie hard hats." Come on...)

Yes, CM always reverts to the 2 to 1 ratio after the men have a decent week.
Following the 11/15 episode (that the men won) I spotted numerous comments on social media complaining that it was unfair that the men threw so many pies at the women.
Yet there was hardly a complaint as the women out-pied the men 99 to 51 during a period of 14 weeks (ending on 10/25).
Oh, and the ratings were just published. Chega Mais scored a 0.9. I thought it would be worse.

Okay Nancy, I mean Debbie, I mean Rich, I know any episode with a clean Barbara won't get your seal of approval, but since you're going all "FTR" on us, I must make sure the record is accurate:
1- 9 pies for the girls yesterday (and that's counting Dani's 2 pies as 1 and not counting the hard hat) 2- Of the 10 girls on this week, 7 were pied, 1 ballooned, so tough to argue that MOST of the girls didn't get covered. 3- Check episode 3 again - there has been a "3 separate occasions pie for a girl", so we can stop hearing about that statistic (though your sentiment is not wholly inaccurate, as it's the only time) 4- As I pointed out earlier (and rechecked) there were 3 guy pieings that only occurred in far away wide screen shot to the 1 girl where the doofus guy blocked the shot (the 3 guys were choices of the producers/camera guys, the 1 girl was the fault of the doofus, so tough to call that a loss for us in the grand scheme or a choice by the producers/camera operator to screw us over- imagine our outrage if 3 of the female pieings occurred with no close up rather than 1)
And while I'm mostly just busting your chops on the negativity Rich, was this really so bad? The girls won the pie round 20-8. I don't know the stats, but that's got to be nearly, if not the most lopsided win in CM history, yet it still produced 7 or 8 great female pieings (not sure what your second "weak" one is after Paloma, Veronica maybe?). The "dark weeks" of the show were bad not just because the score was lopsided, but also because the female pieings were going way down in quality, and that absolutely was not the case this week. This week was simply an anomaly score-wise, and while we would all love the numbers to be more equal, that's probably not going to be the case very often (dudes are dumb, we just are- case in point guys were once again penalized this week for yelling out an answer - curse you Token).
As long as the numbers for the girls remain good both quantitatively (say 7 pieings) and qualitatively (say 80% great hits), can we not just look at the bright side? 7 or 8 great female pieings is probably as much as the show produced in the entire month of October or September. Just sayin', chin up bro beans, the sun is still out, Barbara just found some shade for a week.
PS if you haven't watched POR this week yet, skip it... it will only enrage you, as it did me.
Yeah, I didn't want to be overly negative... It was just a shame that the longest and most pie-filled pie round in CM history was basically 2/3rd's guys.
I thought Danielle's "combined" two pies were still pretty bad. That's my other one. Not being into hair pie, a half-face coverage is pretty bad. Paloma (sp?) was actually better.... downgraded slightly as she pied her guy into oblivion both before, and after, his super-gentle hit. (Not sure when the guys are gonna learn to stop "playing nice" hoping for similar treatment. I mean, Dumber once literally PIED HIMSELF IN THE FACE instead of his target for being "too mean to the girls." After what Barb did to him Sunday, hopefully he has learned his lesson. Although we know he hasn't.)
The obscured pie was one of the best, which sucks, but aftermath was still really good. Not as frustrating as the show cutting out Barb's entire second pie last week... Just mildly frustrating. Julia got pied very well (long overdue)... Girl who goes against Token got her best pies ever. (She's a super-fast wiper and he STILL got her good.) He's the MVP of the guys... In a just world he would go against Barb every week, instead of just that one time he gave her the best pieing of the entire show's history.
So I mentioned 7, and cute brunette got 1... Whoops, snooty blonde got 1 too. (But she still got the "revenge pie" so her guy got 3 pies AND a balloon anyway.) I guess that IS 9, my bad. As for clean girls... Barb was 100% clean, some other brunette was 100% clean... And I guess I forgot the third brunette got... baby powder? Was that my "clean" third girl?
I guess I just want to see one CM show where the female pies crack double digits... as the guys slowly approach 20 pies a show. Seems reasonable, no? And which girls got triple-pied in the third episode?? I've edited most all of these and I have no clips with 3 pies for one female. Was it the infamous show where the girls missed 14 questions but almost all the pies wound up in the hair? If so, I'm sorry, but that's a HUGE asterick on that stat then! I mean, technically 3 pies is 3 pies, but if it's the girl I'm thinking of (cute brunette who's been around forever and loves to dodge pie hits).... She finished that "triple pie onslaught" with her face almost spotless, and actually got it WORSE with the one (very good) pie from last week. Whereas Special Guest Sideshow Bob and Dumber yesterday looked like they'd been dunked in a vat of frosting by show's end.
ANYWAY. Better luck next week. Please pair Barb with someone smart. Please keep her from begging off to balloons like she does. Amen.
Also... POR. Yes. Horrible. As always. Doubly so because this was the first show in forever with promise: Four cute girls, 3 missing questions, guys pieing well, and the blue pies that really provide great coverage.
And then... The usual BS that now makes POR an afterthought: The ads in a show. And more ads. And stupider guys missing 5 questions in a row. And then game ends after 3 rounds and a "whopping" 4 pies to the girls total.
Here's the difference with CM: They're a band you still love. Or a football team that still has a great shot at the playoffs. You pay attention every week, and it kills you when they screw up, and you're harder on them when they do, because the potential is SO great. And the payoff is SO good when it happens.
PoR and basically every other mainstream show with occasional pies (EEG, Combate, Japanese ones, etc) are those 3-8 teams that you stopped paying attention to weeks ago. They might still show up one week... Hey! That's a nice suprise! But you've moved on, because they've been too terrible too long.
CM is already one of the all-time greats. Could wind up best ever. They just need to follow through on that potential. Come on CM! No pie hard hats! (Although Julia #2 is cute and willing... Why not give her 4 separate pieings next show and see what happens?? )
Can you tell I'm with family for the holiday now? Thanks for the release Duffman!
Anytime buddy, have a brew and get ready to watch the Pats beat... who are they playing? Oh right, it doesn't matter.
Yeah, you got me on the asterisk on episode 3, but opportunity was there, it just got wasted 2 of the 3 times. As to the rest, the last brunette yesterday got a red balloon slime (not bad, not good), and while Token may be MVP of delivery, he needs to stop shouting out answers, has happened at least twice.
However... (puts down beer, turns hat backwards, takes off shades, cracks knuckles) I know you did not just refer to my girl Duda as the "snooty blonde". In spite of her unsexy name, I had her pegged as one of the more consistent pluses to the show, one of the few who actually play up to the camera before getting pied (see below) and one of only 2 girls to take a facial balloon sliming (also below). I'll thank you not to besmirch her in such a fashion. Otherwise it's pistols at dawn!
And yeah burn down POR, let's bring on Candace Cameron's 22 year old Latina cousin and then pie her 0 times, good call
1) The pie segment has been extended to nearly 38 minutes. Past pie segments were 25 to 30 minutes. This segment is their money maker. If they could lead with it I'm sure they would.
2) The electronic scoreboard on the wall is gone. The score is now shown on screen only. It's possible that this change was made to allow them to tape the pie segment first. If they tape the pie segment first they would be unable to display the score on the wall (because they wouldn't know what the score is). Perhaps they're taping multiple pie segments on the same day as a money saving measure? These pictures (now 3 weeks old) from an apparent episode that has not (yet) aired may be proof.
If this wasn't an episode meant to be aired the only other conclusion is that they have practice sessions popping balloons and throwing pies.
Referring back to the pictures --- Does anyone else find it hard to believe that the models exit the studio covered in mess? Do they get in their cars and drive home with pie still on their face? How do you explain that to the police if you get pulled over?
3) There was an apparent copyright violation. Did anybody catch it? The image of "Crusty the Clown" from The Simpsons was shown on screen after the male guest with the black wig took a massive pie hit near the end of the show. I'm guessing that CM did not pay to use this image or ask permission. Oddly, Matt Groening does not watch CM or else the episode would've quickly been pulled from YouTube.
Up above is a model for how to have a civilized debate about this show. I've stayed out of the CM threads for months now, but many of them still managed to blow up into heated arguments anyway; at least one of the threads even got locked by the administration. But here we see good people having an honest disagreement over some of the issues that have generated endless controversy in the past. Well played, gentlemen!

Haha, point taken. I guess she gets pied so infrequently, but seems to ALWAYS be delivering them.... She definitely has the (to me) annoying Barb quality of, "I love to dish it out, but don't make me take it!" That said, she's had a few good hits... Last night's was a better one... And I didn't remember the facial sliming, but that's a good one too. I guess she IS pretty gracious on the rare occasions she does get pied, so kudos.
FTR I think Barb is the worst "snooty blonde" of all time. And I can't tell if she hates getting pied, or "ballooned," or just losing in general. Because when she DOES get pied, she doesn't really dodge it (except the one time when she completely nailed the guy instead), and she is hands-down the BEST "non wiper" on this whole show. And typically she keeps talking back, post-pie, still covered... Which, again, makes for fantastic footage... But also makes me think she's an extremely difficult person in real life. It probably explains why the producers (and guys) bend over backwards to make sure she wins 80% of the time, and why she tends to "pick her punishment" when no one else can.
Or I'm just making s**t up. But either way... Personality has a lot to do with how much I enjoy a pieing on this show, which makes it doubly weird how I look forward to Barb's more than anyone else. (Maybe because she seems to REALLY deserve it, every single week?)
--Music copyrights on YT use an algorithm to analyze clips for even a brief snatch of a copyrighted song. Not the same with still pictures. I don't think YT ever pulls clips for that reason. You can't find actual clips from The Simpsons easily on YT (certainly not full shows in English) but you can find literally thousands of pics of Homer on there, and elsewhere online. So I think CM was safe there.
--I'm pretty sure the cast is exiting the studio on nice days (isn't it summer in Brazil?) and maybe doing a little publicity before they shower and change in a different building. In my experience on sets, the soundstage is a large warehouse and the wardrobe/makeup/cast trailers are back at base camp, sometimes within walking distance but usually a van ride.
--PoR is filming additional episodes for the "Christmas break" that Brazil seems to have for January. My guess is CM is doing the same thing. The show's IG hasn't posted any of those pics yet (just a cast member) because they only promote for the upcoming week. Or they could be shooting several weeks out now, but I think additional episodes is more likely. I know some cast members will post pics on the day of shooting, then post (or repost) pics from that day on the day of airing, which tends to confuse the timeline.
--Can't remember if I've brought this up before, but it bears repeating: The social media aspect of this show makes it WAY more interesting to follow than anything else that has aired in ages. Most shows are live and/or don't "preview" their pie segments early (the short-lived DDG was the only exception). Or you get a one-off like the MasterChef Jr. segment, from a show that isn't doing messy stuff every week. The ONLY comparison I can think of is when YCDTOTV would occasionally preview their entire "new season" in a 30-second ad spot, so you'd catch split-second glimpses of something good that might not air for days or weeks. I remember going nuts waiting for the full version of the Lisa pieing from the "Supernatural" episode to air. (Did not disappoint either.)
Shoutout to Rich for making me wistfully remember those YOU CAN'T DO THAT/Nickelodeon "whole season" ads where they'd run a bunch of stuff together and you'd go "wait, wait, was that - who was pied? Was that a dude or a girl?"
See, kids -- back in our day, we had to just wait for shit to happen and wonder.
I *really* thought Corey from the "Cooking" episode was a girl at first, and got very excited as a kid.
Then I realized it was a guy, but just thought, "Everybody's holding pies! Yeah, he gets the first one, but I'm sure Lisa and Christine will get theirs too!!"
She definitely has the (to me) annoying Barb quality of, "I love to dish it out, but don't make me take it!" That said, she's had a few good hits... Last night's was a better one... I hope to have time to comment more fully on the Barbara issue tomorrow.
Here's a Barbara incident that perhaps you didn't notice that may interest you.
After Barbara received the penalty pies for cheating (Oct. 11) she went on a long losing streak that really only ended this week.
In the midst of that losing streak she almost starts crying before receiving a balloon (October 18).
This ain't acting. This girl is an emotional roller coaster. And, yes, her unstable emotional state does make the show more interesting.
Oh no, I was aware of that one. That's the Worst Timeline version of Barb... AKA the attitude of: "I have personally destroyed this guy many times with pies, but now that *I* missed a question, I'm gonna freak over getting a bit of slime down my back."
That was a moment when I really assumed she was done with the show. But then the next week she's back like nothing happened. And I still don't understand how you can be on the verge of tears over a balloon one week... Then in subsequent weeks you basically force the guy to put down his pie and give you the balloon instead?? As always, there's a language barrier but even so I don't get her at all.
She got away with a LOT of stuff for a LONG time. I think the "pie punishment" was the producers' way of saying, "Yeah, we're not gonna take your shit anymore." And then 10/18 was her temper tantrum back. Since then she's had a much better attitude... and stayed messy every week. (Until this one of course.) But again, just guessing here.

Sigh.
My brother from another mother...
(this might be why that one has stayed in my head for so long, even though it's a dude getting it -- and now that you mention it, i think i had that same thought when i saw the promo)
One of the only "guy" pieings from YCDTOTV i enjoyed despite having a strong fetishist's interest in the girls getting pied, was the "Something horrible that's supposed to happen to Eugene", and i'm not sure why. I think it's because the whole bit wasn't clever so much as just great "revenge" WAM-ing that spoke to me at that age.
You guys take undue shit for watching/analyzing this show; as i commented about CU's comments weeks ago, i enjoy that some die-hards have put serious time into watching and pointing out the mess, etc.
I just watched the one posted elsewhere on this feed of a recent episode, with all the "good hits" pointed out (not to be sexist but let's face it, i think we know who our audience here is...).
This Barbara sounds like a real problem....i'm now getting sucked in like it's a reality show....
Times like these I feel like this show is like wrestling...we're all being worked, like it or not lol
still love it tho, i'll tune in every week. and back to your football analogy rich, since i'm an Eagles fan, i got nothing better to do on Sunday afternoons.
