okay! so, i have spent a LOT of my own money to do a recreation of the mystery substance tub that we all know and love atleast I do, anyway!! haha!
we have gotten some slack about the tub turning purple. The plan was to start it white, then in one scene there would be blue and red swirled in the mixture and after a set or two, of course, the color would turn purple.
we will be shooting more than one video in it and some ppl are asking "why purple" or "why not green again"
okay, we shot scenes in green and yeah, they were fabulous but doing a re-do of this, and doing green AGAIN just seems redundant...but, hey, yall are the ones who buy this stuff so here is what i have come up with as far as colors:
traditional green again blue black (or an attempted black/grey color) black (or an attempted black/grey color with gold flakes)
if i did black, i would want it BLACK but i do realize that I would have to rebuy a lot of the batter for the mix in chocolate (as i have bought A SHIT TON IN WHITE) AND spend some extra money to get some black coloring. a fuckload of it but, if this is something that seems like it would be more appealing to our buyers, then we will do our best!!
so, gimme your votes or even throw in some ideas of your own and lets see if some others on the forum agree!!
thanks for reading and PLEASE HELP US! the time is drawing near!!
the pic below is just a SMALL TASTE of the substance in a light purple....it is not the substance in its FULL FORM.
I would normally vote for green as it is my favorite color, but you are right, you've done that before. When I saw the title of the thread, blue popped to mind, so that is where I'll put my vote. I think that would be a very neat color for it. I'm afraid that it won't look as good in black.
if we have some SERIOUS lighting...which luckily i have some new lighting to add to the mix, then it may look alright but you wont be able to see as much of what you want to see....its like, it kinda blacks out all the nice areas...but, the grey, i think would be okay! it would be like the clay we have been in but way more stringy and rad!
I rather like the sounds of the original plan (white + blue + red), and would say stick with that. Black sounds good too, but only if you can pull off actual black; grey just isn't as cool.
our concern with doing black is obviously, we wont get it black enough. and there is nothing worse than a halfway....you wanna go black you wanna go all the way. i do agree with you on that and we are dealing with a MASSIVE amount of mess to be COLORED. i would almost be afraid we would have to use so much to color it, that it would mess with the substance itself!
but, i dont ever know until i start those grueling hours of mixing non stop.....fuuuuuck it takes FOREVER. LOL i can tell you i am looking forward to getting in it but NOT looking forward to all that mixing non stop. jeez o pete....
and yall!! donate to the cause!! over 100 donations gets you EVERY VIDEO FILMED IN THIS AND WE ARE FILMING QUITE A FEW! or help us buy the rest of the supplies and the same deal goes!! over 100 bucks and you get every video. x rated, regular, all of them. its a hella deal! this shit is fuckign expensive as fuck to make! i have spent too much of my own money...and im about 3/4 the way there....so, email me if you wanna be a sponsor!! big benefits!!

and keep voting. i wanna hear your color and why...now, that i am hearing blue so much...i am thinking blue will look cool with some gold flake in it...the color POPS anyway...and with our lighting it would look stellar as fuck. that is for sure. maybe a black back drop? or a grey back drop?
anyway, keep them coming bc you all are the buyers here. we are playing in a mess that we love its just we have expensive tastes. hahah!
deadpool said: You can't go wrong with old-school green. But...if you want a change, nothing wrong with blue, or black, or red.
Of those three...black. I'd love to see how you'd pull off that color in a container that big.
that is the thing, it is worrisome to me that we COULDNT pull off the container being BLACK. like, if i wanted to do black, it would have to be BLACK. that is why when i did my molasses vid...even though it was black strap molasses, i added coloring and paint to it bc i did not want anything to not look completely black...and added thickener to make it even more EXTRA! we cant half ass, this yall and we are talking about 50 gallons of stuff to color....im starting to think that black may not happen looking at the logistics and the funds. if i had endless amounts of money. yeah, i could probably turn it black bc there are food coloring gels out there that work really really well....but i have already bought lots of white batter...coloring that would be hard. really hard. man, im just having a hard time and not only that, doing all black does darken being able to see the curves of the body. even if you are right up on the person with a camera. you gotta really watch what you are doing.
Purple is a great color. How can you go wrong with Tinky WInky. Besides, purple makes a great contrast to a black outfit. Blue is bland and Black would just be the same as thick grease or something. Yuk. Red could be cool if you did it a little thinner.
i talked to ariel and we both were kinda like "hmmmm, pink sounds fun" but here was our issue with pink....lighting can WHITE OUT a light pink color....
blue is BOLD and with the gold flakes in it, you can see all of this moving slowly on our bodies and the blue will not be a white out where you cant see the shapes of our bodies. white (bright white) and bright pinks can do that.
above, in the picture is actually the mystery substance in truest form (with nothing added for EXTRA stretchy) and it is red and blue i put in the bowl and in that particular video, i let it stay swirled and the part you are seeing is after me playing in it a little bit. i mixed it SOME but there were swirls of red and blue.
light purple like this would be okay as long as it was THIS color bc it wouldnt white out our bodies. go too light and its just too much white.
Translucent is the only thing that works for me. With regard to black. rmember if you try to thin in you just end up with more black than you started with. For truly black try molasses.
ive done that before in my store. i have a substance that is completely black and is amazing and it was made with blackstrap molasses, a food thickener and loads of black gel food coloring. it is AMAZING! this is made with some lighter materials so it starts light
Jayce and Ariel With not a lot of people helping you out. You get to choose the coloring that you want to do. My choice would start out white the two of you play in it first. Than add a color of your choice. Fantasy would be one in the mixture as the color is mixed up. If color stains have a white or clear one pcs tight unisex outfix. Tazboys
