So real question WAM friend What do you do if you've been sitting on a painting you had commissioned for a friend who no longer wants your friendship and has blocked you but you still have the painting, it's from their wedding. I'd rather give it to them then just throw it out as it's a nice painting.
Put it up on Marketplace? Donate to Vinnies or Salvos? Donate it to an Art Gallery. Use an intermediary to drop the painting off at your ex-friend's doorstep.
Give it to a mutual friend to pass on. If they want it they will take it, if not they will get rid. It is their painting (assuming it's all paid for) so up to them what happens to it.

This a good question I haven't been presented with. I'd say do what you feel is right I'd take it off your hands to appreciate it but I'm far off across the ocean.
I would send it to them either by mutual friend or courier if it's something they have paid for and not recieved could look bad on you also if you send it to them and they keep it it will be a reminder of you to them and they may come back
