So when I tried to log in this morning, I was automatically directed to the UMD fetish page and made to create a new account, upon which I had a completely new profile with all my friends lost and pics lost.
Then for some bizarre reason, I found myself back on the main UMD page with my profile back in tact.
What's happening with that? was it just a glitch or is UMD changing ?

It was like that for most of last night, I was getting a blank white page when I tried to view my sales stats and going to the home page brought up the same "UMD Fetish" page. I assumed it was a glitch and waited. I know MM is always busy but it would be handy if there was a blog or status page somewhere (ideally on a different host so not affected if things go awry) where changes / works in progress / explanations of outages could be posted. Perhaps just a dedicated Twitter account, @umdstatus or something similar?

I got the same "Fetish" page this morning with no Forums just Groups thought the site had been hijacked by aliens but back to normal by lunchtime

All seems to be back to normal now. Life is good again

Same happened to me, last week a few times, and then today, was asked to make a new account, though i didn't, but all seems back to normal again now

I have my email though saying thanks for the new profile. The page is still there but MM says he didn't mean to go live for a few weeks.

It looks like a funky fetlife thing, all kinks discussed, we shall have to see

i can't be certain but I would hazard a guess Messmaster is creating new ideas and the site redirection on the server got somehow confused. no doubt some time in the future is it becomes reality we will all know about it.
