The recent post about Clown Julie and the one about Wammonkey got me thinking about the amount of years and time I've spent here.

I still remember stumbling upon Messy Fun and having my mind blown -- like many, I've been a WAM fan since my youth and there were a lot of dry years/memories only before the UMD was started and I was intro'd to it. Man; the hours i spent staying late at work waiting for drops of manna such as the trailer for Messy Fun's "Ariel's Pie Shop" to load...

Haven't thought about Shokolada's site in a while; that was a favorite, as was (some time later on) Star/Max's mostly bathroom shower pieings and slimings. (I know the latter are still around from time to time, which I love!)

What or Who else do YOU remember about the late 90s/early 00's? I'm hoping for a couple "Oh yeah!! I totally forgot"s here, as collectively we have a pretty amazing memory.

Wow. Yeah, good call -- for some reason i sort of assumed they were still around and operating, but obviously they aren't. That opens up a whole other dimension of memories....

Uncle H used to regularly post stunning photosets of his gorgeous wife Melissa taking pie after pie. I greatly miss their contributions!

A more recent one who I miss terribly is GooeyPhoenix. And of course MessyMaddy.

Mr./Mrs. Bigshipper sort of kept that flag flying, but i'm with you. Melissa was lovely and the pies were bountiful.

I still remember in 1995 searching the phrase "pie in the face" and seeing Hurley Coward's "Pie Mafia" site. Thinking I was the only pie fan in the world, I was as amazed and delighted as everyone else when they first made their discoveries, I'm sure. The homepage showed photos of the curly haired blonde in a light blue shirt (in a gym shower?) getting a fantastic pie in the face. Fan for life, made.

"The Famous Pied Faces List" was invaluable in learning about more of the actor/actress/singer/celebrity pieings I'd never seen or heard about (like the "Bewitched" pie scene, for example). There were a number of photos interspersed too (and on its later 'sister' page, which only featured photos). What a resource that was. I studied it the way I would later pore through the Internet Movie Database.

There was a site called "Skippy's Pie Page" with a green background that updated a number of photos and things (mostly tv and movie stuff, I think). It was one of my greatest hits to see what was new.

"Piemagination" was photos of beautiful famous women who'd never been pied on film before. There were usually three shots: the first clean, the second shot during the pieing, and the third as reaction (eyes open, mouth open, etc.). This was where I first saw Heather Locklear pied before her caking scene with Michael J. Fox in "Spin City" a few years later. Nikki Cox (later pied on "Las Vegas") was another. A great site for bringing imagination to life.

These reminiscences bring to mind just how FAST the internet really is now and how easily we have some things at our disposal (like the near-instant upload of YouTube videos). I recall trying to wait for a 30-second pie clip from "Shokolada's Mess" and it taking maybe a half hour!

Anyone else here get disconnected in the middle of the night and have to reconnect with that loud shrill "PINGPING screeeeeeeeeech" dial-up sound? Those of us who were teens in the 90s would fear waking the folks with this (at least I did). Ah memories.

PieSplatt - we have the same memories, for sure. You get what I'm laying down... I had forgotten about all those "analog" sites you mentioned, but that's exactly why i brought up this topic. The "Famous Pied Faces" list, i remember going back to all the time, even though there would be maybe a couple updates in a year. (the response time/alert system for these things, obviously in a pre-DVR/digital era, was nowhere near what it is now. You basically had to hope you stumbled upon one, or there was a "you Can't Do that" re-run weekend or something.

I still remember the thrill of stumbling upon the ladies of Messy Fun (Shaun, etc.) and just being excited/stunned that it existed. The first videos i bought (a Paul's House of Pies and ALL PIES TV from WamTec, i remember driving home to check the mail twice a day from work before my roommate could go "what'd you get?")

Believe me, i'm very happy to have things as they are now, but there definitely was an increased thrill back then because you'd get things only once in a while, a new update on Shokolada with a new trailer clip or something and it was like "WOW! This is the best week ever!"

I found MessyGirl & Ms. Messy around the same time.

WAMF. Even if Fawn ended up being a less than scrupulous character, she undeniably produced many early WAM classics. (And despite her misconduct, at least she never threatened a UMD member with exposing his personal info on the forum, as Neil E., the original Pie Fight Girls proprieter, did last year, setting a new low bar for disgraced WAM producers.)

YES! These guys were good man. Real good.

A few people have mentioned Parrothead and, yes, he was brilliant, or rather his gf Amber, a gorgeous brunette, was. She was amazing because there were no half-measures, as her preference was for total coverage of her face and head with bucket after bucket of thick, thick mess. Plus, if I remember her backstory right, it really was her preference and not just being roped in by Parrothead - think it was something like she and some friends had got muddy at high school, simply as a joke, but it absolutely unlocked something inside her and she couldn't get enough of it after that. Only thing I would disagree on is why they're no longer around - were they really run out of town? I might be wrong, but my recollection is that she had quite a high-powered job and they reached a point where they felt the risk of exposure was too much, and that's why they left UMD.

Also have to agree on Fawn, which is a real shame. She did of course make a comeback of sorts on here 3 or 4 years ago, and put quite a bit of WAMF's back catalogue in the download store, but it's unfortunately all gone now. (Her model profile is still up and it apparently gives a lot of scenes, but don't be fooled - click on it and you'll see there's nothing there.) As someone else said, I think there were a few rows over customs and that's why she left, so given how very, very good she was - part of WAM history, really - it's quite sad the way she blotted her copybook in the end.

Two more recent losses who haven't been mentioned yet are Windy and Messy Lady, especially the latter, who I thought made a huge impact on UMD when she just came out of nowhere about 3 years ago. She is technically still around, as I occasionally check her profile (hoping she's put some scenes back up!) and she does log in quite regularly, but hasn't actually posted anything for well over a year now and her store's long since closed as well. A very sad loss that she's no longer active.

Well now I'm really going to show my age - I used to trade photgraphic slides with Bill Shipton way back in the early eighties.
Then in the late eighties way before the Internet I met a fellow computer nerd on an American bulletin board - his name was Rob Blaine (yep the very Rob we all know and miss so much). Rob and I used to trade photos by FTPing them to each other.
Rob invited me over to the states several times to help him out on one of of his movie shoots but I never got around to it - I've always kicked myself for not making the time.
Then along came the Internet and with it Mud Mad Phil, MessyGirl, UMD and all the rest (too many to mention) - times couldn't be better - no more waiting in anticipation for about 30 minutes for the modem to stop squealing to see what goodies would appear

I might not be remembering this correctly, but didn't Amber get sick towards the end? I was thinking that was why they left. But I seem to remember some kind of commotion where some people on here were giving them a hard time for something. I'm sure that didn't help.

But Amber WAS beautiful, and loved to get messy! Besides piles and piles of buttercream (?) frosting, one of her other trademarks was lying on her back and getting pied, with the camera directly above her.

No less a wam luminary than the amazing Mrs. Bee did some pics (around the time Parrothead & Amber left) lying on her back with the camera directly over her as she got pied, and she said that it was in tribute to the similar Amber-style pics!

Yes, I do remember Amber's USP of lying on her back and having the mess directly applied to her face and head, but didn't mention it simply due to not wanting my post to get too lengthy... You're also right about the illness, as there was briefly a Vidown store of about six scenes to pay for her medical bills.

Must admit I don't remember them being hassled on here and only Amber's job being a factor, although as it was about 2007/2008, I might be a bit hazy on all the details. Perhaps we should just split the difference and agree they left because of a bit of both...

I can tell you windy is an active wammer, and although she hasn't filmed anything in a while she has a bunch of stuff to edit and release in the coming months, she really only enjoys wam with girls, although she did do a few messy blowjob scenes.

IIRC, both Melissa and Mrs. Bee started about the time I got on the net. Both were gorgeous, sexy ladies with husbands who loved to pie them!

That surprised me in the end, given how good/plentiful the content was (i was a big Cree fan, and there was a cute perky younger brunette whose name escapes me). Again, a story whose end i must've missed while i was away from forums; when i came back she was gone, except for still offering old sets for sale within the last year i believe.

I don't wanna dig up the whole Neil E thing, just because i kind of hate to think an innocuous/memories post like this is responsible for starting another flame war. But that does sound really shitty/low re: what you describe....

I certainly share your "i wish i had..." and i'm sure others do too. But appreciate you chiming in with the memory! The Rob/Bill Shipton, etc. heyday was truly exciting for me and anyone into WAM who stumbled into this place. I had zero idea such a niche had actual fans/a home.

The worst loss is about to hit us....Jayce! I am grieving and she is still here. Such a shame. But I do remember the slow dial ups and the messy fun newsletter that used to be mailed to me in a discreet brown envelope when I was in my teens! So glad my parents didn't open those LOL!

So Windy may well be coming back? That's very, very good news and has made my day already! (Especially as I Iost all her stuff in a (portable) hard drive crash about 18 months ago...)

Lots of great memories you all are mentioning. Two, that I don't believe came up yet; One is Bill's Pie Page which I remember having a green background and a hand full of pics. The only one I really remember was a pic of a female sky diver recently pied. The other was Trevor's pie page which was where I first saw pics of the infamous Tabitha(?) scene with the crusty chocolate pie.

There were a lot of beautiful women on Southern Charms who would put up some great WAM material from time to time, some that come to mind are
