Volume 57, scene 3 features Rich and Elle hitting the streets (or more accurately, a parking lot) to get Elle pied by a random stranger. As far as I can recall, this is the only time Rich has done a video like this, and the result is remarkable. With all due respect to Rich, who's one of the very top WAM producers ever and has done tons of great work from his humble beginnings all the way through to his current works of breathtaking HD glory, the credit for this particular success has to go almost entirely to Elle. (Which is only natural -- how much can a producer really do in a public pieing scenario?) As well as being gorgeous, she's incredible in this "role," very good natured about the whole thing and expertly overcoming the reserves of a somewhat tentative young woman. It doesn't take long -- Elle's charisma and enthusiasm for getting pied easily convince the young woman to let her have it -- and good.
Sorry about that. (I corrected my original post above, just to avoid confusion.) I will readily admit I have a LOT of trouble keeping track of your model's names, Rich. And that's because you almost uniformly take the names out of all the text describing your videos on your site. (You use their names to promote them here when you release the videos, but you've had so many models come and go that, as beautiful as most of them are, I just cannot keep track of the bulk of them once they're more than a few volumes old.)
I know you've said something about this being for the protection of the models from would-be stalkers. But why is it okay to use their names in posts here but not on your own site? I honestly REALLY wish you'd leave their names in. I'm only talking about their first names, of course -- many of which probably aren't really even their actual first names, I would guess. Sometimes when I'm going through your site, I'm trying to find videos by a specific model or two, and it's vastly more time-consuming trying to find these when you don't give their names.
Also, when people talk in threads here about models or scenes of yours they particularly liked, they tend to identify them by the model's names (rather than volume and scene numbers), and, with half a dozen or so exceptions, I can't remember which name goes to which model, so I am unable to go and check out the scenes they're referring to.
It's possible I'm the only one who has this problem, but I kind of doubt it.
Hmm. I used to put the model's name in the listing pretty regularly for the first few years, and also those were almost always the real name. (The Internet wasn't near as crazy back then.)
Then I got some complaints from models about stalkers & weirdos, so I limited that info. Basically the scripts are still there, and usually have the model's name contained inside. But the "description" is gone. I checked out the volume number in question (SS57) and that's how it is.
FYI, I started adding descriptions back in around SS104 (and lost the scripts). So everything since 2011 basically has the model's name in the listing. BUT I'm not sure it's worth all the work to go back and add that info to volumes that are now a decade old.
This is actually the EASIEST way to find a model, though: 1) Go to my download store... like HD.SlapstickStuff.com . Or SlapstickStuff.Vidown.com . 2) Find the model's name in the "Search" on the right. (Like "Elle" for instance.) 3) ALL her clips should pop up, including compilations where she appears. 4) From there, it's super easy to "Click For Pics" and go to that particular volume page if you want more details, like scripts or the other scenes.
Now, could I streamline my actual website to make this info easier? Yes. Would it take a lot of time and effort (from me), or money (for a third party to revamp it)? Yes. Have I considered this? Sure. But will I do it? Probably not. Because, honestly, look at other producers.... Lenny paid money for a nice revamped site years ago... And now it's gone. Pievids.com goes directly to his download store. Anglefan.com... goes directly to his download store. WAMAmerica's site... is his UMD Store.
I'm not criticizing these guys at all. I'm just pointing out that, for nearly all producers, their site IS their store. The exceptions, like MessyGirl, have mostly pay site content. I'm basically one of the only guys still running a website and still offering ALL the content on that site for free.
And while I love the site and wouldn't give it up at all, it's definitely a situation where I don't think a site overhaul is the best use of my time or money right now. Yeah, the site's clumsy and old and isn't mobile-friendly, but it's functional. You can browse around and find a lot to enjoy without TOO much trouble.

Well, not exactly. I couldn't remember Elle's name when I was making that post, and I had a bad feeling it might not be Toshia (my first guess), so I checked the scripts, and she's not identified by name in any of them. So I did make some modicum of effort to try to get it right the first time.

Jesus, I feel like an idiot now.

Right, I got it through my thick skull finally. There's no need to add model names on the site, because you can easily search by model name in the store and then link back to the site to see the pics, read the scripts (for the older ones), etc.
Honestly, I wasn't clued in that your site and your store were completely separate animals. You might think, "How could anyone miss this?" but the cross-linking of the two and my general ignorance about website structure in general made it easy. Plus, I've generally ordered DVDs from you rather than buying downloads in your store anyway, so I've pretty much always "browsed" on your site, rather than your store, thinking it had more information, when in the case of model's names, it actually has less!
In any event, I apologize for my complaint about the lack of names in my previous post, which was obviously ill-informed. Your site is great as is, and I'm glad it's still around.
By the way, I'm really curious -- why is it illegal to do this kind of video in public? I mean, I get that it's ultimately for "adult video" purposes, but it's not like the police would be able to tell that from what they saw. Is it because of the mess you'll make in a public space?
It wasn't littering because there was a dropcloth there I am sure they must have picked up. And it wasn't soliciting because there was no money involved (to my knowledge). Loitering? meh
Zan said: Pieing someone in the face isn't illegal.
However.... Loitering, Soliciting, & Littering in front of Public Businesses would definitely be illegal.
YMMV.
Yep. I mean, I *doubt* we would've gotten arrested. But if a cop had come by at the wrong time, he could've made it hard for us. Like, "Do you have a permit to be filming here? Are you going to clean up this entire area?" Stuff like that.
I DID put down a dropcloth (you can see buckets holding it in place) but if you've ever pied someone, you know stuff can fly everywhere. It was shaving cream so I wasn't too concerned, but still, the lot wasn't 100% clean afterwards.
It definitely felt fun and a little dangerous, but these days I'm OK with NOT having that thrill in my life. FYI, there's quite a few other early scenes that were filmed in "public" but I tried really hard to do it in out-of-the-way places where no passerby would stumble onto us. And of course we didn't stop random women to get them to pie the model. The SS57 scene was specifically designed to be "public."
But a few other examples.... SS13 and SS16 were both shot in a near-deserted parking lot, within sight of the hotel where I used to shoot in Atlanta. So we drove there and back with the model sitting on towels for the return ride and sneaking back into the hotel still pied! The SS24 "beach" scenes were actually filmed on a construction site right by the hotel in Charleston... There were bulldozers a few hundred yards away but no passerby. Deana's SS25 scenes were filmed on two occasions in the public area right by her apartment. You can hear some of her neighbors watching, commenting, and laughing at her actually... The SS26 scenes were at the end of a dead-end cul-de-sac that seemed pretty private. No one wandered up to us, anyway!
And then the more current outdoor scenes have all been on my back porch.

Ah, it's all good. No worries! Soundguy was actually the one who tipped me off to that trick. Most of my keywords were the same old thing... "pies" (duh) "slime" (duh) "shaving cream" (uh huh). Not especially helpful. He suggested that a LOT of guys browse by model and adding their names would make it easier on customers and boost sales... And he was right.
The UMD Store is also very good with this, you "Add A Model" with a picture, keywords, and even a bio, and then you can always link your clips back to said model.
Another change that *hopefully* helps is you can now find ALL comp clips simply by searching "compilation." The only catch is that the HD versions will be in the separate HD DL Store, of course.
