So which other old skool UK sploshers out there remember the piece the now defunct tabloid The Sunday Sport did ? From memory it was 1991/92, I was 15 or 16 and was on my way to a weekend job, stopped at the local paper shop for supplies and that's when my life changed forever. No internet back then and this was my "Awakening" moment, the moment I realised I was not alone in my desires and fantasies and there was a whole wonderful wet and messy world out there.
Every now and then when ever I'm having a blitz in the house and I re-discover the clippings I get a little nostalgic as I remember where my journey started.
Just time for a very large doff of the cap to Mr Bill Shipton a true pioneer in the UK wam scene and very sadly missed

Oh yes! I remember the Sunday Sport very well and I still have that particular edition. I never knew Splosh magazine existed until I read this article. I can well remember the excitement learning that there was a magazine full of pictures and stories about sploshing.

Never realised they'd covered sploshing, but I do remember some if their awesome stories, notably "World War Two Bomber Found On The Moon!"

I also remember that paper on that day and if I'm not wrong the front page said something like "rude nude and covered in food" instantly got my attention possibly has something to do with why I'm here now LOL

Do I remember that! A bit of a life changer, I was aware of Splosh from the feature on the James Whale show but had no idea how to get hold of it. But after seeing that article, I now had an address... OK so my first copy was incorrectly delivered to the house across the road but as far as I can tell they didn't open it!

I was unlucky. I missed both this and, despite being an avid viewer of The James Whale Radio Show every week, I happened by chance to NOT see the Splosh! episode. It was another few years - 1994 - before I spotted a top shelf video in Our Price (record shop) "Pretty Clumsy Woman" which was that shocking moment of revelation that I was not alone.

Yes I remember that edition of Sunday Sport and also remember Bill Shipton on the James Whale radio show. I think it was the James Whale radio show which brought my attention to Splosh. i met Bill at a Splosh event he ran in Tenby in the autumn of 1992.

I have a half memory, possibly invented, of seeing this in the newsagents.
I do remember VERY clearly the Splosh article in FHM a few years later, and I was the kid who wrote into FHM problem pages a few years later which they published as 'Custard Gives Me the Horn!'. Wonder if anyone remembers seeing this? I've tried to track it down a few times...feel like Neve Campbell was the cover girl but when I've seen that edition in mag shops no its not there.

First got my mitts on Splosh! by randomly seeing it in newsagent in town (seven quid!!! A lot on my paper round money) but then in that edition got the address for The News Stand in Liverpool where I could get more. I took on some extra Saturday jobs, put it that way.

I remember reading that they did a bath of spaghetti for a photoshoot .i think charley atwell was in it,but never did find the pics. also they did a bath of beans for comic relief. Oh not forgetting they gunged a p3 girl some years ago

There is still a midweek Sport, Weekend Sport and a Sunday Sport, still giving lots of utterly mental story and lots of topless women. Incidentally they actually did a sploshing double spread the other month, and then another a few weeks later about chocolate. I'll try and get the pics.

Holy flurkin schnit!! I do remember that! I can't remember my reaction to it (I was probably about 2-3 years into my own realisation of this, but without any access to the internet except for at school - where, yes, I did find the UMD for the first time Cautiously, not during a lesson - so was still feeling a bit abnormal about it, though not enough to deter my fantasies and recording everything relevant I could from TV) but I distinctly remember it.

Though since FHM was in retrospect populated by gurning masculines, you might have been better off writing to Karen at Sky Magazine for a more reasoned response. (Sky did a webpage rundown page later, one issue featuring a site for pied women both real and fake. That happened right after I went to university, and was trying to, if not get rid of this fetish, adjust around it, and I actually tore that page out of the magazine and threw it away to stop tempting me. It had the lovely Claire Goose on the cover with some other TV drama stars if anyone wants to track that down, though the item itself in inconsequential.) (I also destroyed my TV tapes before going to uni, which was a huge mistake as they contained clips that would now be grails, and others in better quality than have ever been seen on YouTube.)

But yes! I do remember that! (and also Neve was my primary crush 97-99 so I definitely remember *that* cover. Actually the magazine is probably in a box deep in my storage room.) I hope whatever the mag's response was you were happy about it.

Crazy but nice to hear from someone who was on the samne wavelength at the same time. I think on some level this is what my terrified teenage self was seeking - a way of reaching out anonymously to check I wasn't completely alone. I too had some VHS tapes (we were very late to have a VHS in our house) that had my gungy stuff on - as oftrrn my paper/milk rounds and Saturday jobs meant I missed the live gungings so would try yo cstch them. Lived in fear of beting 'caught' though.

I guess in many wsys the Internet has been great in assuring people they are not isolated in their interests and turn ons. Still think the internet has added a lot of stress and hassle to daily luce in other ways though.
