Did you have to pay Shelly extra for her clean cameo role?

There was some inane Elvis movie (I know, really narrowing it down there) where he played twins -- one with dark hair, one with blonde hair. Colonel Tom argued with the studio that he should get double his normal movie fee since he was playing twice as many characters as usual. Needless to say, the studio balked.

IIRC, Rich indicated several months back that he had some leftover Shelly material in the can that he was preparing for release. Not "leftover" as in second-rate, by any means, obviously!


Boy, do I disagree with you here, Johnny! Not saying you're wrong in any way, of course, just that I have a very different opinion on this subject. I will say though that Rich's "real" pies are far preferable (for me) to his shaving cream pies, or even his just-Cool-Whip pies. To be fair, this is generally true of all producers for me ... unless they use really poor-for-WAM real pies that don't stick at all.

Rich did I read in a previous thread that Shelly's videos didn't sell as well as you expected? If that was indeed the case, consider my mind blown. I have a few of her clips and I love her personality (and the way she takes the slime, of course). She manages to be funny and sexy, which is hard to pull off in a genuine way (Lindsey is one of the few others who come to mind immediately when I think of models who can do it). I thought this was a great video, so thanks for the work you guys put into it.

Is she as charming/lovable in person as she comes across in her photos/videos?

Thanks for the kind words. Shelly is probably the most decent and down-to-earth model I've ever shot with... No drama, no ego, no problems... Always ready to work and fearless with whatever scenario I throw at her. Plus, her reactions and other small things (like self-pieing technique, sliming technique, "fake stumbling," etc) were always spot-on.

So yeah, she definitely has a fan base. And I certainly shot her more than any other model ever in a 2-year period, for the reasons above.

But I've also had lots of customers tell me (privately, usually) that Shelly doesn't "do it" for them. And that's fair because, let's be honest: For all the talk about a model's "great personality" or reactions, or if she really "gets it" from a slapstick perspective... If you don't find her attractive, everything else is moot.

So that's the conundrum! Personally (selfishly?), I only book models that "work" for me from an attraction standpoint, so I totally understand... And variety is always good. Certainly Shelly is very different from Breana, who's different from Angie, who's different from Ginger.... And the hope is that different customers find models that suit their particular tastes.

And finally... I have a lot of options for the "other" Shelly clip to go with this one for SS149, but right now I'm skewing towards a slime-intensive, gold catsuit scene. Thoughts?

I'm with you, man! I also thought Toshia was just as good as Deana after a while... She started off a little clueless at first but I think I kinda "nudged" her into slapstick shape after all those shoots! But boy, the level of drama....

But purely for getting the skits "right," Shelly is the best ever. If she had the same broad appeal as Toshia... Damn. I might've changed "SS" to "ShellyShow." (Maybe for the best that never happened?...)

Her gray body suit sliming is one of my favorite SS scenes ever. She takes slime incredibly well. Revisiting that concept with a gold cat suit is a fucking righteous idea.

OK that'll be my next one then. It's probably one of the better Shelly clips still "in the can" plus she looks really good in it.

Awesome! I'll be looking forward to both of them. It's funny. Body suits were never really my thing, ever. Something about that scene with Shelly turned me onto them and they've been my niche-within-a-niche interest since then. Now, it's not a habit of mine to play the "what you SHOULD do is...." game with producers because I get that they can't cater to everyone's personal thing, BUT........if you ever got Lindsey into one of those suits with glasses on for a slime-only scene (or at least slime heavy), you could probably charge triple digits and I'd shell out without even blinking. Once the paramedics revived me, of course. Same for Kristina. Her bob haircut and insane body would look amazing in one of those suits, and she's pretty damn good at opening her eyes without wiping after getting slimed. A man can dream.......but I'll still dig whatever you put out. Just had to throw it out there.

Lindsay gave me SO much grief for the one time I made her wear glasses (in SS66). I doubt she would do it again.

I could see Kristina in the catsuit though. Although her hair's a lot longer now. Hopefully it'll happen!
