So, just the other night, I told my girlfriend about my fetish. At one point, I told her about my ultimate kink which is getting her into a bathtub of shaving cream and, as god as my witness, she was okay with the idea. As excited as I am, I do have a question about it. So, lets say things start getting hot and heavy whilst we're in the tub and we decide we want to have sex. If we were to have sex in the tub of shaving cream, would that cause any problems as far as getting it into places that it shouldn't be? I want to be cautious about this before proceeding. Any advice helps, thank you!
"Got the Postcard from that vacation". Unless your lady has an allergy to shaving cream, all should be fine. It was for my old G.F.'s. But I'm too much of a gentleman to Mess and tell anymore than that.
I love the feel of shaving cream but at least for me it causes an unpleasant burning sensation if it gets inside. I don't think it does any damage. I would just have fun and if it gets uncomfortable for either of you then you can always shower off and continue with the fun!
Thank you all for the comments, it's been very helpful. Btw Leila, I love your work, you do a great job, hope to see you do some more shaving cream shoots.
I think I remember reading somewhere -- almost certainly here -- that shaving cream compromises the, erm, structural integrity of condoms. So if you and your lady are relying on condoms for any of the reasons for which people typically rely on condoms, keep that in mind.

What if I were to use this kind of shaving cream? It's from the dollar store nearby, it's the only kind I use when I want a good, thick mess, it will most likely be the kind me and my girl use (I'm still in shock and awe that she agreed to this).

That's funny you say that because that's the first thing I thought when I saw this! As most ladies, I'm pretty sensitive "down there," and it can irritate the urethra for days even! To avoid this I've learned to check containers and make sure there is NO menthol in the product, no shave gels, try to find foam with the least amount of ingredients basically. Like Leila said, no lasting damage, just really uncomfortable and that's no fun Hope you have fun!!!

First of all Lilly, you do some great work, keep on keepin' on! Second, the ingredients in the shave cream I like/use include water, stearic acid triethanolamine, sorbitol, palmitic acid, butane, propane, glycerin, isopropyl palmitate, sodium lauryl sulfate, cetyl alcohol, hydroxyethylcellulose, fragrance, aloe barbadensis leaf juice, and methylisothiazolinone. What I'm asking basically is would those be elements that could cause irritation?

The vagina has it's own very special pH level. When you go throwing in anything foreign, it changes that pH. This is a long list of ingredients. Think, would you want butane in your anus? That's the equivalent. I would try to just do body coverage, and skip the genitals. That's the only way you can truly avoid a tear and pain filled time. I'd cry if I got too much of that stuff inside me... ouch.
If not covered in frosting, are you really living?
Fair enough. Thank you all for helping me out with this, I wanted to know all the facts before I made any choices. Looks like me and my lady will be saving the sex for when we are nice and clean. Cheers!
The butane only exists in there as a propellant. Many of the other ingredients (protip: they're listed in order of percent/volume) are surfactants, foaming aids, etc. and are in quantities on the order of tens of milliliters (that's very small fractions of an ounce, like
My girlfriend an i use gillete foamy all the time for shaving cream anal sex, without any pain or discomfort to either of us. She has had it fill her pussy too with no ill effect, So it may just have to do with each person's ph and sensitivity.
You might try a test and have her place some in each area for a minute and see if there is any discomfort.

THANK YOU!!! haha. I wish guys knew how complicated this stuff actually is (yes, I know there are some guys who actually know, but not all) like the slightest change in pH level causes craziness to go on. Honestly, the biggest issue for me isn't exactly the vagina, it's getting anything around my urethra (guys, obviously, have longer urethras than women so it doesn't cause nearly as much irritation) I'm running out of excuses to tell my doctor when I keep having bladder problems XD

I can understand how there wasn't any issue anally, but good for you that there was no irritation! Some people are just more sensitive "down there." Personally I wish I WASN'T. I'm getting a little tired of not being able to use anything other than Johnson & Johnson "no more tears" on my lady-bits lol.
So wait, is it possible to get a bladder infection from having sex in shaving cream?? She had told me that she's okay with the idea of her and I having sex in the shaving cream (which would be an absolute fantasy come true) but at the same time, I love her and I don't want to cause any discomfort and I certainly wouldn't want to cause her to have a bladder infection.
Well, we use shaving foam very often during sex because I simply love it. We never looked for a specific brand, and never had any problems. I think it has been in every opening I have on my body... It tastes ugly when... ähm... let's say you happen to stumble across a foam covered dick, but that's it. But I think it's a reasonable suggestion to look for a brand with as few ingredients as possible, just in case.

Go give it a try. I hope she loves it too!

You never had any burning or got any bladder infections from it?? Of course, everyone's individual experiences will differ but what would you recommend?? I'm getting a bit conflicted, now lol.

Nope, never. There are some brands (maybe the ones containing menthol) which increase blood flow in these areas, which actually doesn't feel bad. It sometimes can burn a little when I have shaved my pubics right before, but that's it. You always can shower off if there's something irritating. And I wouldn't worry about bladder infections. You need bacteria for that (mostly they come from the anal area), and the shaving foam has none in it. But if your girlfriend is sensitive to vaginal infections such as a mycosis, then foam in the vagina might change the milieu there in a way that the natural protection might be altered.
But I wouldn't think too much about it... As you said, it's all about personal experience, and if you don't try it, you never know. I would discuss this with your partner.
