I'm in Australia, and have now tried Nuru massages with a couple of providers. It's great fun. The two providers had different methods and familiarity. The first was using actual Nuru gel, warmed, and seemed quite familliar with it. She had one of the inflatable bed toppers, which was a little small for my height (length?), and a little slippery getting out of. The other provider just used a firm bed with disposable sheets, and less gel. Still slippery, still felt great, but definitely less slime on deck. Leverage on the bed was definitely better than in the inflatable.
