Alot of people - particularly producers and models that make money off WAM - this question is directed at you.
How open are you about what you do? I mean, do you tell everyone proudly what you do, or just a handful of close confidants? Or really no one but you know everyone knows anyway and regard it as a "poorly hidden secret"?
Life is too short and too stressful to try and be someone you're not, and it's hard enough as is. Trying to live a double life on top of an already very full and very intense (and also rewarding) regular life would be a nightmare. Not to mention not good for mental health.
Also, there's literally no reason to hide this. It's SUCH a tame and silly kink, that there shouldn't be any shame or guilt involved with it anyways.
Personally I'm of the belief that there shouldn't be any shame involved with *any* kinks, but even if I was close minded or uber-religous or something, this one is still so far under the bar of what would be "concerning", it's laughable.
Like literally laughable - I've had multiple people laugh when I've told them I'm into slime-porn and then they're like what's that and I show them one of my videos and they just giggle and smile and say that's fun or funny or wild or wow. Nobody has ever said "OMG you're a fucking weirdo and evil and messed up and no one is ever going to love you or accept you because you like seeing other girls get green slime dumped on their heads."
Last but not least, anyone who IS going judge someone for their kinks (regardless of what they are) is just being insecure and ignorant anyways, so unless you're super into hanging around insecure and ignorant people, fuck anyone who gives a shit about what turns you on or what you do for a living.
I get that some people on here make stuff that involves sexual acts and nudity, and there can be professional reasons for wanting to keep that private, or if a model has a "brand" and getting messy doesn't quite fit it, that makes sense, but otherwise I don't see why anyone would feel the need to hide this.

Always been wide open about it, anyone who is more than just a casual acquaintance knows I'm into fulluy clothed WAM and run adult fetish websites, including business colleagues all the way up to CEO level. I figure if anyone has a problem with it then I probably wouldn't want to work for / with them anyway, and to be honest most people's attitude is that if it doesn't affect them or my work for them then it makes no difference to anything. In my main occupation I get paid for my IT abilities, server hardware and virtual clusters do not care what their admins get up to as long as it doesn't involve messy room romps in the actual server room.
I'll be the dissenting vote. This is my business and my business only. No one knows I produce or that I have a pie fetish. And for the love of god I hope none of my friends or family ever tell me what gets them hard or wet.
I'm not in the closet and if it were all about me I'd shout it from the roof tops. But it's not all about me so I'm, in general, respectfully discreet.
And, to echo Johnnypie, who the fuck wants to hear about it outside our circles? I mean, really?
My message would be to make sure you don't keep it a secret from/ or lie to those close to you who really do need to know!
I think it can be a longer conversation, using the word "lie." There are things that are none of anyone else's business. So am I lying if I'm out with a group of friends and didn't mention that I just jacked off earlier that day to a fantasy I had about Kate Beckinsale?"
There are people out there who think they have to vomit out everything about themselves like verbal diarrhea. Cause please trust me when I tell you that you're not lying when you choose not to tell your buddies that you get off by smearing cream pies all over your dick. Also trust me when I say they certainly hope you never tell them that.
And...I mean...family? If my brother was ever like: "hey...have you ever rubbed cake all over your ass" I'd be like "stop right there and shut the fuck up."

I'm talking about intimate partners/wives etc. Not friends and family.
Oh, I'd 100% heavily recommend telling your partner before anything turned serious. I'm married 25 years and not only does my wife not know about my fetishes, but she doesn't even know I'm a fetish producer, and that's no good, but the horse is already out of the barn in my case.
My partner helps make pies and take production stills for my films. And my friends generally enjoy what they know about my movie making... several want to see the finished product, or even help with the next one, and they take great glee in sending me every Facebook meme that mentions getting chocolate all over oneself.
On the other hand, I've taken great care over the years to surround myself with sex- and kink-positive friends, so other people's mileage may definitely vary. Read the room!
