"The Simpsons" has been renewed for a Season 33 and 34 at Fox.
At the conclusion of Season 34, slated for 2023, the iconic animated sitcom will have produced 757 episodes total. The landmark 700th episode, "Manger Things," will air on March 21.
"The Simpsons" is the longest-running primetime scripted show in television history, having surpassed "Gunsmoke" during its 29th season. The show was honored with a Star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2000."
"At this point, I think the heat death of the universe will occur before The Simpsons comes to an end. The longest-running primetime scripted show in television history just got longer as Fox has gone ahead and renewed the show for seasons 33 and 34."
I am not going to live long enough to see the final episode.

I agree. Last week's episode "Wad Goals" was quite good.
The people who say "The Simpsons was great for the first 5 seasons but it really went downhill and we grew tired of it" seem unaware that this comment / opinion of theirs has grown old & tiresome.
As I say, I want it to stop not because I think it's bad, but because I think it's still good, and just want to free myself from it (and all entertainment - except WAM entertainment - which I put into a separate category - for obvious sexual reasons).
Most of the voice actors are long since dead. They have voiced every possible word in every possible inflection by now, that all the voice acting for the main characters is done by a computer now.
They also use deep fakes to keep everyone looking young. I mean Bart would be like close to 50 now. And he never even became a SCOTUS

And President Lisa Simpson was supposed to follow t***p, according to Simpsonian historical rules. Supernintendo Chalmers and skinNERRRR!! are too old, at what must be 80 & 90 now, to have taken a trip to Cincinnati together. (Season 32 episode.) And if skinNERR!! is a Vietnam War veteran, then he had to be born in the 1940s, so that means his mother Agnes Skinner was born in in the 1920s or 1910s. She's definitely centenarian if not supercentenarian now. And, of course, who can forget C Montgomery Burns, ssn #2, born in Pangea.
