Outside of sploshing, thrifting is one of our hobbies. The 2 activities sometimes end up intertwining, most of the outfits we splosh were found while thrifting. We typically hit the 99 cents Sunday sales, but another winter storm is headed our way so we decided to suck it up and do the half priced Saturday sale instead We always joke that we should have a studio space somewhere because we sometimes stumble on things that would make great sploshing scene props. Case in point, today we happened upon an old school hair dryer like you would find in a salon. While it would have been cool to try and score it for 99 cents, we figured that $12.50 at half price was still a decent deal so we got it. Not quite as note worthy, Andi also found a cheerleader duffel bag to use as a prop with one of her cheer costumes, and I found a tripod to replace one of mine that came out a bit worse for wear from a mud shoot last summer. You overestimate our engineering abilities

I just remembered, a friend inherited a house that his grandma converted a large room into a hair salon around the late '70s. If you want to go all out with the place I can ask to grab posters and whatever before he throws the stuff out.

I'm sure just a sump pump into a bucket of slime or gunge and run tubing into the top of that dome and you have an awesome slime delivery method for an unsuspecting salon guest. hehe

How about gravity feed with a 5 gallon office water cooler bottle? Mount the bottle higher up and use a fernco coupling (found at Lowe's/Home Depot) to connect the opening in the bottle to a piece of PVC pipe. Attach a PVC valve to the pipe and run another pipe or hose from there to the top of the hair dryer. Cut a hole in the big end of the jug to fill it and let air in when it empties and you're ready to go. Altogether maybe $20-25 in parts.

That works too - I'm just wanting to find a great situation to use a pump. And OP said "engineering" and that's kinda my thing. lol

I too love to go thrifting. Thrift provided my entire for-the-mudpits wardrobe. Today, it provides for my entire non-mudpit wardrobe as well.
