I have done several customs over the years with many different producers and only ever got screwed once.

People that I have dealt with that were decent folk that gave me what I asked for:

The only person that stole my $300 was Phoebe. We agreed to a custom script. I sent her the money and then........... nothing. The last contact I had with her was when she told me that she would give back my money in the form of WAM videos she had in her collection. I agreed to that because well.................what choice did I have? Never heard back from her. This was 12? years ago. (She no longer produces, so I am not hurting her business by saying this.)

Too bad about Phoebe she seemed awesome from the absolutely nothing I know about her outside of enjoying her videos.
I will happily make you a flip book of the scene you wanted from her if laughing at my-erm-creative approach to art will dull that 12 years deep wound.
Also, I did not realize customs were that expensive were there significantly fewer people offering customs back in the day or perhaps I have just gotten that used to the might pound?
Also also, I do know that people can be flaky and unintentionally screw with others and that said flakiness may weigh on them significantly but even in the off chance somebody doesn't purposefully screw you over negligence isn't acceptable when other parties are involved.

Did she make some great visuals, IMHO? Yep.

Did she also alienate a bunch of people by her long absences only to return hawking the same old videos everytime because she needed money for __________ and __________? Yep.

Did new wammers around here gush at her return while some of us long-time people just stood by and shook our heads while saying "Here we go again"?

Yep.

We've only ever done two customs here at Saturation Hall, both were priced in that range, and in both cases actually cost more to shoot than we charged the customer, but over the long term we'll recoup the costs when the scenes reach the site and download store and sell extra copies. Shooting customs is an expensive business, and also very hard work for both producer and models, in terms of getting all the details in that the customer has specified, purchasing extra outfits or parts of them, and shooting to someone else's script rather than just our own ideas, and making absolutely sure everything requested happens, in the correct order. I pay my people almost double their usual fees when we shoot custom work.

If I write a scene where someone is supposed to sit on a cake, and then stand up and have her trousers filled, but in the dungeon the girls mix it up and she ends up getting her trousers filled before she does the cake sit, that's not a problem and I can just modify the scene description to match what actually happened. But if that mix up happened in shooting a custom, then the whole thing would have to be shot twice, completing the "wrong" scene for our own release and then re-doing the custom to get it right, involving double model fees, etc.

It's a high risk business, and also a big responsibility, as you're trying to deliver someone else's fantasy to the highest possible standard. I have a massive amount of respect for the models here who do regular customs, they are working very hard indeed.

I just remembered................ Sillyfilms did a custom or two for me. He did a nice job too.

It is always interesting getting this kind of insider information.

I have had good luck with Messygirl. The other customs I had made over the years (about 5 others, mostly in the late 90's) were from outside the WAM community. By being very specific, I always got what I asked for, and never got ripped off.
