So..good news first. I have sent the final script for Jessie's bridesmaids dress trashing to the legendary Queen of WAM herself this morning & I trust she will forgive me if I quote her response:
"I just read the bridesmaid script and I love it!! I can't wait for Wednesday now! It's going to be one of your best scenes yet!!!! Trust me on this. It's going to be an instant classic!! It's going to be wam gold!!!"
Attempting to extend the SS cast, I have booked the lovely Faye X Taylor in the other role, as a waitress. When bridesmaid Jessie is offered dessert in a cafe by waitress Faye..it's going to get messy!!!
I can't tell you how excited I am about filming this and hope you are too. I will be buying supplies on Tuesday, & every penny I make in sales between now & then will be ploughed straight back into more stuff to destroy Jessie's dress with...so think of it as an investment
*** I'd also like to throw out an appeal to anyone who has ever bought one of my videos, to please please post a review if you have 2 minutes. A PM or forum post is really nice but reviews are the most helpful & I am happy to offer an exclusive behind the scenes clip to anyone who reviews (via the UMD review system) one of my scenes they have bought.
The BTS clip features me very informally interviewing Jessie and MyPierogative Maria whilst making them slave away making pies that will later end up all over them. It all features Maria singing but please be assured, this is a GOOD THING.
Myds, & Ruegger who have posted reviews.....thanks so much and hope you enjoyed your BTS clip. HuenPie..thanks for saying you will too.
(Noideer..if you pm me your email I will send you the BTS clip too for you kind review)
*** Everyone else...whether you loved or hated the clips...let me know please, & ideally let the world know with a review.
I seem to be a bit like the Velvet Underground at the mo. I get lovely feedback from those who buy the videos (sadly mostly via PM so the world doesn't see it), & the vast majority of my customers come back having bought once, but those numbers are very small (except the schoolgirl scene which has doubled my sales for any other scene, & has become the only one of my scenes to break even) & I am hoping word of mouth will help.
Feedback good or bad is welcome so I can make them the best they can be, but also even more importantly so other people can see that the folks who buy them are really enjoying them, so they may have a punt too
So if you DO like them please do spread the word.
Thanks for listening & thanks in advance for reviewing
Don't want to sound like I'm begging it but I do hope that waitress outfit is a nice crisp white blouse and short black mini with black tights and heels, and Jessie has some lovely white stockings on under that dress.
I'd definitely be investing in your video then and I'll go check out your store now, seen as though its a sound investment!
I know Faye quite well, she's a diamond! Just a quick heads up though she isn't blonde anymore that is quite an old picture unless I'm mistaken. She's had dark hair for quite a while now but don't worry Rev she is great!
I hope Faye proves to be a very clumsy waitress and spills a whole lot of nasty mess all over a helpless Jessie. Can't wait to see what you have planned Rev!
It's a good point. Though I have been pleased with how much light I have been able to give my scenes, the sunlight coming in means there was room for improvement.
The most recent scenes I shot, I shot from INSIDE the room..the space was much tighter (which had put me off before) but I made it work & it got round the sunshine problem nicely. So the lighting on those is definitely the best yet (see pic). I will flag them up to you when they go on sale but I was very pleased with the improvement.
As a photo/videographer myself, with enough credits to my name to not be joking when I refer to myself as "semi-professional" it always drives me crazy to see such a hot single-point light source.
Are LEDs as cheap in the UK as they are here? I've been trying out different types of diffusers and layout patterns, but it's very possible to build a couple of very nice, large, diffuse lights for under $50. I'd think that unless you guys have massive tariffs on Chinese imports that you should be able to do the same...

In truth Bob, photography is not my area. Jessie had to help me change the battery on the first shoot (!) so you may be on a hiding to nothing here, but I would say this. That pic I sent has 3 sources of light..the sun (now behind me) the lightbulb in the room, AND, LED lights which I do use.
But I will happily take the feedback that the lighting could have been better in the earlier scenes & hope that the improved lighting in the newer ones is received warmly. When they go up, you can always buy one and let me know what you think
