I believe the people who ran that are no longer together, plus as I remember there turned out to be something iffy about the venue too, so as far as I know there's unlikely to be another. Pity, they were good events.
What DM1 said, plus I think a distant memory is telling me folk didn't spend enough at the bar so that hire arrangement couldn't be made again, and therefore costs for another hire of the place with different terms were too high. I think they got let down with some help and the clean up overran too and the venue were not happy about the extra time (understandable given i think it was about 4am and they just wanted to lock up and go home)
I'll provide the best official response can add the organising team behind London Splosh Games have gone their separate ways including some that have left the scene.
The venue is closed and has been for a long time, there was no particular issue with the bar spend, this was calculated into the cost of the venue hire. There were issues with the venue management but that was on them and not something LSG organisers knew of beforehand. We could have done a better job organising the clean up processes which would have got everyone home quicker.
At the end of the day, it was fun but a lot of hard work. Whilst it's great being able to give people such an experience, everyone deserves to be paid for their time, effort and expertise.
Given the increases in fuel and energy costs which impact upon our own costs as well as venue hire rates, even if there was a suitable venue available, ticket prices would be prohibitively expensive. We set out to avoid being an exclusive event by price.
The only way I personally can see a return (or anything similar) would be for a new suitable venue to pop up or to hire out one of the Splosh studios, but then they are probably better off running their own event rather than deal with the hassle of an external hire.
Thank you for all of your responses on this. I understand all of the points and fully get them all. The suggestion of one of the studios running one of these is interesting. I am interested in the scene but never been able to find a way to get into it. Everything I have seen has been too intimate even though not sexual such as sessions it's more a social side that this type of event appealed to me

Your best bet would probably be to come to a few splunches. Those are totally non-play social events and a good way to get to meet people in real life, without as you say the intimacy of a session-type arrangement.
