Hey fellow wammers, I just got my first latex outfit! I am really loving it and want to get into latex kink, but I need some guidance from any fellow kinksters:
1. Do you get messy in your latex? I know you have to be careful with protecting it from certain oils and grease, but does washing it help keep it from wearing or tearing?

2. Is this a kink for you and what is it that turns you on about it?

3. Do you wear your latex out in public?

I would love any advice or suggestions on getting started in latex kink!

1. Yes, I get messy in latex fairly often. As long as you wash it thoroughly and talc it before you put it in storage, it will last for five years or more. There's one hood I own that's taken several pies over the years and it's still going strong.

2. Rubber, PVC, and leather are all turn-ons for me and have been since I was in my early teens. The sensation is what really does it for me; it's like wearing a second skin. Every lady I have ever had a sexual relationship with has been into one of the three, and often all three, so I've been lucky there. I can remember a particular friend with benefits who put on her first latex dress and her mouth dropped open and she let out an "Oh my god..." and immediately pounced on me.

3. I do not wear any of my kink clothing out in public except the stuff underneath that's hidden. I have worn rubber boxers under my regular clothing a couple of times over the years and the feeling of knowing what you've got on while it's a secret to everyone else is also pretty great.

I haven't combined latex with WAM much, but then I mostly do outdoor mud and the thought of changing in and out of a catsuit out in the bushes by an estuary somewhere feels like a bit of a hassle! I've worn latex shorts in the mud with no detrimental effects though, they cleaned and shined up just fine afterwards.
It is definitely a kink for me, the feel and smell and the sense of coverage. I don't do it in public, but I went to a couple of events before the lockdown, and wearing it around people in that setting is a lot of fun.

I do I'm careful not to use anything oily or it will perish. I clean it and hang to dry straight away and use the silicone shine/protect soon as its dry

What oily things do you avoid? The cool whip and frozen pies I use are pretty oily, so I'm worried I won't be able to use them

I think you'll be ok with those but the trade off is time, the oilier the substance the less time I'd let it be in contact with the latex. Use plenty of the silicone protectant first too and I think you could get away with it decently at least once and have the latex still be fine after

1 - Yes, but also make sure its cleaned quickly afterwards, and avoid anything with oil in it if possible - Custard I find is normally fine, but always make sure its cleaned properly afterwards. I tend to use it with something like J-Lube or gunge. Candy's advice is sound regarding looking after it, I also use talc after too, to make sure anything dodgy gets soaked up.

2 - everything is better with Latex! For me, everyone looks great in latex, it feels great too.

3 - I have worn latex under clothes before, but don't have the confidence for wearing it fully outside.

I always try and make sure that it's not too warm around when wearing it, and use lube when putting it on, and talc up the inside after cleaning it afterwards.

Yes, it is a turn on, especially on someone with your face and physique.

In your last pi day set, you had some beguiling looks, like views from the side. I would recommend the same sorts of poses for the latex.

I'm not being too subtle here - how about while you figure out what's okay to use that you do a photo set with the latex and ask for suggestions about how to get messy?

Yes, and lots of times! I've worn some rather expensive unique pieces in gunge and they've been fine. Gunge and latex is a lot of fun, very slippery. I haven't done much savoury play with latex but no issues there either.

I have worn latex in public a few times, although visibly only at events, this has included a meetup in a Travelodge cafe and walking as a group the short distance to the event venue. I'm not sure I could pull of wearing latex in a normal scenario, although it can work really well as part of an outfit - their are many designers of more normal clothing in latex which are easier to wear - Catalyst and Yummy Gummy for example (I've bought from both)

great thread!!! have been thinking about this since Darla posted that latex set recently. i only have a couple of latex pieces, gifts from my partner and i REALLY love them but we've been shy about trying them in combination with WAM. i'm feeling a little more confident now! maybe things like cake batter (made from the mix but leaving out the oil) would be a good place to start?

Yeah I'm only going to get each piece messy once, that way it won't endure too much that will wear it down. I think that will help too.

Since we're on the subject, this might be a starter option for people curious as to how it all might look: We scored a few very-reasonably priced halloween costumes this year due to...you know...and found that Ms. Plonk is more into the messy catsuit thing than she realized (yay!). The best example we used was one from UnderWraps called 'The Thief', and it gave her a fairly good idea of what to expect without blowing heavy coin on a latex outfit, as not knowing if it would make her look good or not was a major deal-breaker. It's also made of polyester and machine washable (and it's needed a few, believe me ), so if you're just stepping into the scene, still have doubts or are still on a budget b/c mortgage, family, etc, it might provide a decent test-drive to see if it's your thing.

Looks like slippery fun to me, need to try messy latex but it's not the cheapest lol!

One thing i really enjoy is bathing in my latex! Great for when you want to clean an outfit and the feeling is v delightful

Thank you so much for this suggestion! Latex is very expensive and can actually rip and tear and become irreparable if it does, so you have to be very careful with it. I don't recommend doing any pants filling or panty filling with it because it can rip or tear. PVC, pleather, or vinyl is much cheaper and easy to clean, so it's definitely recommended as a substitute for latex or an introduction into wearing tight materials on your body. Latex is very difficult to put on without assistance from another person as you cannot pull on it to put it on. Because it's meant to be extremely tight and hug the body like a form of bondage, you have to be very careful not to get air trapped underneath it and distorts the shape of your body. And you cannot pull on your latex to adjust it, either.

Any recomendations for a noob? Even just to give an idea what to look for, thanks!

Every now and then I do, but usually its with paint or something that's easily washable and won't make my latex have a stench.

To actually answer the questions:

1- Yes, latex is probably my favourite for getting messy in. Just make sure you clean it thoroughly when you're done.

2- Yes, for me it i the way it looks but even more the way it feel. And I' generally a sucker or shiny thing...

3- A few times, but only under regular clothes or when on my way home from an event. I do have some plans for a latex photoshoot though.

I'd recommend starting with something small and inexpensive like a pair of shorts. They won't set you back much and will give you a good taster and also a better idea of what it is like to wear.

Something like these would be ok for a first pair, they're moulded so not going to be the best but a good place to get started.
