I must congratulate you on getting me to read a long-form article on Double Dare.
I actually had a conversation a long time ago about "sploshing" with John Waters (at a gay strip club of all places). At one point before Dirty Rotten Shame he was planning on an entire movie about WAM...but gave up because he thought too many people wouldn't understand it.

Are there celebrities more willing to get messy or look stupid for a laugh? Sure. Does that make them WAMmers? Eh. Anyway, Noise and I get along so I'm gonna play devil's advocate with Jimmy Fallon. Evidence that he's "one of us" includes....
1) An SNL skit where he got hit with pies (probably thrown by male crew members)
2) Numerous pie games on the Tonight Show (both men and women)
3) Water and egg games on the Tonight Show (about 95% with men)
Now, evidence that Jimmy Fallon is straight:
1) Wife and child
2) MANY incidents of him picking up women over the years in NYC (Google if you must).
So, we can safely assume that Jimmy Fallon is a straight male, and he has a high propensity towards wet & messy games on his show, but the majority of them involve male celebrities. I would argue that's evidence that he is NOT a WAMmer at all, simply because if your fetish involves messy women (either getting them messy and/or getting messed by them), then engaging with messy men is actually a very uncomfortable experience. FAR more than the average guy where WAM is not a fetish at all.
I suppose you could argue that Jimmy's playing the long game, and messing up a high percentage of male celebs to justify the few female celebs he DOES get messy, but that's a stretch.
My feeling is that any evidence of someone being a "WAMmer" has to involve an abnormally high percentage of getting the opposite sex messy (assuming said celeb is straight). That's why arguing for Alanis Morrissette makes more sense (to me) than most of the above examples... Not just with the YCDTOTV connection, but because of her propensity for engaging in pie fights with her all-male backing band in the 90s. (See the "You Learn" video for an example.)

Well, I'm not going to argue too strenuously because... I don't care that much either way and I'm not overly convinced.
However, I will throw a counter point or two...
1. Just because it's a fetish doesn't mean he is a creep trying to get female celebrities messy. Dude is a handsome, funny, famous and rich male in his prime. That's a a beast of a recipe for someone who could probably have his way with as many women as he wants in about as many ways as he wants. He was probably well satiated before he was married.
2 a. He can do what he wants, and he picks that - something that's been long dead and low brow forever now.
b. A stronger counter to my suggestion would be that he wants to revive slapstick as a thing in the U.S again, or he took his cues from successful Mexican and in general south American late night shows.
3. We don't know that after a show, he's been a little tittilated getting a little messy on TV and goes home to absolutely nail his wife with pies and slime in his own custom built studio that don't show on plans of the house and the kids will never find... who knows, maybe the guys he gets involved in the game are beards in his cunning plan and he invites the ladies back to his place to have fun with the wife.
In conclusion... probably not, but you know... possibly.
I pick 2b but I hope three because that would be seriously bad ass.
Two celebrities that I can think of being wammers would be Jane Seymour and Glenn Close. If I remember, there was an interview about the episode from Dr. Quinn where a storm comes and causes some devastation. During that episode, Jane Seymour had to get muddy because she was to slip and get dirty. I believe in the interview that she said even though it was cold she actually enjoyed. And Glenn Close during both Dalmatian movies did her own stunts and seemed to really enjoy getting covered in all kinds of substances, including hay, molasses, mud, and the ingredients for making a cake.

Whoa! [Wammer ears perk up] Maybe I need to start watching more "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman", lol.
