Santana as Cruella! Chocolate syrup sliming please Best of luck to her and yall. Great quality vids, too bad to hear about misunderstandings on customs

I had one custom from a user on here. Our model was on the train down from NH when I arrived at the studio to set up for our shoot only to find out that the power was out in the entire building. That means no power for heat, no power for hot water, no power for lighting. Nothing. Electric company and building management gave no eta so it was a reschedule. Client was thankfully amazing throughout the experience and paid the model a kill fee for the lost day as it wasn't her fault either.
After a week of no change in the building power status and no eta in sight, gave a full refund to the client. Why? Because it was the right thing to do in this instance.
Model delays happen. Cancelations happen. People get sick. Things happen in production that are outside our control but none of these are the fault of the customer and in the event you are unable to fulfill your obligations, you need to issue a refund. No excuses. No exceptions. If you cannot accept the responsibility of being a producer then maybe production is not the correct path for you. If you are incapable of fulfilling your obligations to a client who has paid for a service, then maybe customs are not something you should be offering. Hard stop.
Exactly. I've been producing custom videos since 2010, for WAM and all other fetishes. I can't count how many I've done....hundreds. No one know more than me about model issues; they pull a no-show, get sick, family issues. None of those are the fault of the person who trusted me with their money.
So if I get paid on Monday and the shoot is scheduled for Thursday, but a model cancels, I contact them immediately. They get two choices; wait until that model is available again or get a refund. Then I'm staying in touch. If that model is a no-go then I'll ask if they'd like a different model or a refund.
No one....no one has EVER waited more than two weeks to get a custom. If it's a custom that I know will take much longer to film, I tell them to hold off on payment until we get closer.
There's zero...zero excuse for what Messy "Girl" (he's a guy) is doing to people. If he knows a custom is going to take "months" to film upfront, tell them to hold off on payment. If he takes someone's money and says "will be filmed next week" then he either needs to deliver the video or a refund. But nope, he takes their money and ghosts them until they get so frustrated they have to post on this forum.
I can't believe anyone continues to order customs from this guy. Buyer beware.
Bozo1 said: I also have been waiting a few months for my custom but in MG's defense, I am very specific about what models I want and I want 3 or 4 in the scene. I know from my experiences getting game together with my handful of friends that that can be a big pain trying to find a day and time that works for everyone.
Yeah I have that same issue, getting 3-4 people all together on the same day can be hard. Done some films with friends so I try not to have too many people in a scene if I can.
I have never had this issue. It is more difficult to plan, yes. It adds a layer of complexity, yes but nothing that isn't easily solved with good communication. I have had 6 women on set and the only complication was 2 misread the Google calendar invite and showed up an hour early. Easily mitigated.
Assuming no one gets sick and everyone stays healthy between planning and execution, you should be gtg if everyone is using the right tools
I agree. I had a 5 model shoot yesterday. My assistant had a work emergency and had to cancel, one of my models woke up to a towed car and everything was solved in about 40 minutes and the shoot went on! I shot late, edited videos, and sent all to customers!
Messygirl said: We have been working with tdk on this custom. Originally he wanted Penelope and we were set to shoot but she left in Oct. So we offered to replace her with Santana, but she was on hiatus because of school until this month to shoot. Zoey was also an option but she has already a long line of customs she is doing and tdk's would have taken even longer to get to with her.
So why not just offer him a refund today.
To be fair, Santana is a model I found and work with regularly. He isn't lying she wasn't available as she had work. She is finally off this week for the summer.

Garbage. He said he paid MG over a year ago....a year. And he finally got so frustrated that he had to some onto the board about post about his experience to get any resolution. Give me a break.

This is why I say producers or photographers should be networking with talent outside of who they typically work with. Not to say this is to the fault of Santana, but the age ol' proverb "The show must go on" holds true. Having a resource pool of talent to reach to in the event of an emergency or just to fill in for a model who is unavailable has saved my ass on more than one occasion.
That is when the producer should be reaching out to other models and getting availabilities to shoot at the client as substitutions. Again, nothing against a model who has other obligations (believe me, I get it) but for a producer to put off a shoot that long for one person is craaaaaazy.

His idea included Cruella to be swallowed by a giant worm prop and have her come out the back end covered in chocolate slime. He paid 400 total. I told him it might take a while to build a worm prop like that if he was willing to wait. Penelope stopped modeling for me in September then he agreed on Santana who was not free until now. If he wanted a refund during that time he could have just requested it in the cash app. So you need to get the facts before you open your trap.

Arguably, they are the most celebrated producer on this site but that's because they have shown what they are capable of.
Reliability is another story though.
You received two videos and still nit-picked them because of the color of the skirts and how they were shot.
Face it bud. You made a second video because you did not adhere to the details you agreed that you could complete.
The 2nd video was also delayed a month longer than originally promised and if I didn't stay on top of you to get it done, I might still be waiting. When it was done, it was poorly executed with still incorrect details.
You offered a refund at the point and kept on getting delayed with making it before your promised date of deposit.
Finally I gave up on you. The frustration was no longer worth it.
You collect the money and then opt not to care about delivery of the product. When you do deliver it, it is minus the details that you agreed to provide and nowhere near the date you estimate for completion and you don't keep the customer apprised until the customer has no choice but to be an asshole.

By the way, it was one of our best sellers, so thank you.
Yeah. Now you thank me.
I was nice to you. I was patient. You chose to disregard me and what I paid you for.
I request specifically over and over white pants, you provide black pants.
You tell me there's a delay because your whipped cream spoiled from a hurricane blackout. Totally respected that until I see the video has shaving cream. You're a liar Messygirl.
Again, I was nice to you. I paid you. You only had to be transparent with me.

I get that.... And I agree! 100%
Most of what you are saying on here is exactly how I run my business. I dont accept money until the shoot is 1 week away. With so many shoots it gets confusing having all of that money come in. Especially since it sits in my account until the shoot day. In my payment confirmation letter I let them know that the clip will be shot on the day promised and if we have to reschedule for whatever reason that get to decide if they want an immediate refund or they want to wait on the new date. Luckily most of my girls show up and are on time.
So by no means am I excusing the behavior. I was just simply stating that he isn't lying. I left MG in October and feel partially responsible since I was supposed to be Cruella... Sanatana wouldve been a great fill in but sucks it hasnt happened yet.

He deserves respect for all the time he has stuck it out and produced content that UMD users like. He should be an example to us all as an elder, while I will not talk about my personal experiences in business with MG, I have shot with some MG models, its not my place to name them, but you know their names. They are no longer working with him (you know Messy Girl is a guy right?) because of similar issues, he is not a good example for other producers.
I think this community deserves better, we save our pennies, and spend our hard earned money on a product, that is not delivered as expected. I say do as I do, if you are not capable of delivering a custom as ordered, don't offer customs!!! I don't!
Sorry 'D' had to put my $0.02 worth in, its just an option dude.

Messygirl is listed on the UMD as a couple's account and the name Messygirl is a brand name not an individual. Messygirl Leah is still here and still on the MG payroll [text removed -MM]. So to go off and say that Messygirl is a guy and use it as some kind of "gotcha" is pointless.

Should I be like you? You're the one continually getting their ass kicked on this forum for ripping people off.
I watched the "wam" video you sent me, you can never be like me.
You said that was a custom I ordered and I'm not a producer. Now I'm a producer. You have severe mental issues. And it seems from this huge post, you still have a few people who've been waiting months for their customs. Have you issued the OP his refund yet?

Me, mental issues....lol. You are guy who sent me your yearly income from your so called sites you supposable own and who posed as a customer asking about ordering a custom. Just go away, you bore me now.

We never use shaving cream in a Messygirl shoot unless it is requested. I was nice to you and if your custom was the only shoot I had to do it you would have been delivered in a timely manner, but MG averages over 100 customs a year and sometimes there will be delays and mix ups, when that happens refunds and free reshoots are offered.
It seems like there is a misconception when it comes to a custom what is ok and what is not ok. When you are commissioned for a job, you need to meet the requirements of the person paying for the work. If a painter is hired to paint your house white while you are on vacation, for example. You come home and your house is painted black, is it nit picky to expect the painter to have painted your house the color you requested? I think that in contracts there should be replacement options given. If you cannot get the outfits requested or the substances requested, check with the person paying for the work for acceptable replacements. It only takes a few minutes to verify things before going forward. If the person paying for the custom is not ok with the changes, make the video you planned with the model and make changes to it, then sell it on the store. Regroup with the person that requested the custom and reschedule for when the requested items can be acquired. I really feel like a little more communication would have prevented a lot of the situations that have come up in this thread.

Big same! For our big shoot day with Bella Luxx and Calisa Bliss, their car broke down 2 states away. They called immediately after finding out while facilitating new transportation and I was already on the horn with 2 other models who were available just in case they turned out to be a cancellation. Luckily they pulled through but the point is, you don't let up the reigns once the cart is moving. Use your resources. Use the tools that are readily available. If you don't have them, get them. The day will come around where you will need them.
Can confirm this has happened to me twice, once taking 2 months and now still waiting for the second taking near 4 months with almost no contact and unprofessional behaviour, would not recommend getting a custom with them at all, terrible experience

Or people could just communicate effectively. For instance, for attire, I know personally how important this is so I deliberately put that in the client's court. They pick it. I buy it. Done. The cost is added to the invoice. They know what it costs and I know I got them attire that they are going to like. If there is a issue on availability, simply email them and communicate that to them. 9 times out of 10, they're going to have a substitution already in mind. It's not that difficult.
