Can anyone help me find some safe body paints? I have very sensitive skin and don't want to use anything chemical like real paint. Is there a safer product? I'm not able to use cake batter for this, so please help!!
Tempra or "fingerpainting" paint might work despite being actual paint. Spot test, of course. Try your local art supply store for such things in larger amounts.
Also, you could try frosting that is watered down a bit to be more liquid.
Hi! Is the food coloring in cake batter bothersome to your skin?
For the safest, I would go with something designed for kids and specifically for face. Are you trying to do clown-type decor on face and skin, or an all-over color?
I would definitely avoid tempera paint, as it can create a burnIng sensation on areas of the face. Start with pigments it's makeup designed for faces. If it works there, it should be ok in other body areas. Absolutely do spot tests: under eyes, on neck, on The underside of forearm.
Mehron has some nasty shit in it. If you already have issues with certain substances, then try a small patch test first.
Jayce is a good person to ask about it, as she's used it a lot. However, she seems to have a fairly high tolerance too, as she can practically bathe in it.
Why not cake batter, gluten? If so, a gluten free mix can help with that. It will also not fuck your hair up as much.
Thanks for all the advice, it definitely helps. I'm not able to use the cake batter because of the gluten, but if there's an alternative to that, then that would help immensely. Stay messy everyone!
Gluten free mixes are great if you find mind paying more fir cake mix. We used cream of rice recently mixed s gluten free cake batter, super sludgy ( shoulda mixed cream of rice slower cause had chunks in it) but u can add food coloring

Yeah, gluten free batters are the way to go for you then if you ever want to do something with that look/feel. My ex has Coeliac so badly that even short term skin contact will make the affected area look like they have leprosy, caused incredible inflammation and pain that lasted almost two weeks.
