Because of my home life right now? Which is fucking chaos ( i swore this year would be better and it literally started off a complete shit show! lol!)
We shoot scenes on the weekends when we can all get together and shoot non stop for days. It is so fun but? Since I am modeling, producing, setting up, cleaning up, shooting, and ALL? My hair is so long and thick? I dont even have time to style it in between scenes!
Plus? Since my hair has been so long? Nobody has really reached out about doing hair scenes so? Im like "I need a change! I gotta cut some off!" When I do something? I usually do a big change.
But? This place is not only where I go to find things I love and get off to but? It is my place of business and my only place of business so? Your opinion matters! I have some references pics I have found online...but? you vote!
Since this year-for mud season-we are in the works of a mud spot that will be AMAZING...but it is two hours away? I will be going there to shoot lots of content over some weekends. So? Im thinking I will do this after our next shoot weekend coming up the end of this month

Have you considered keeping your bangs (fringe) and getting a bob? I think that would look volcanically hot on you.

I remember there used to be a lot of clamour for long / very long hair scenes at one point, but TBH I don't think I've ever noticed hair length make too much of a difference to sales, outfit and scene type seem to be the big deciding factors. Hair length certainly isn't something I've ever based purchase decisions on.

Personally I'd say do whatever will make life easiest for you. I can imaging that when running a busy household, having it no more than shoulder length would probably be easiest in terms of not getting caught (or cooked ) in things. But obviously there's the personal comfort factor too.

Back in the day Rob Blaine was a great fan of long hair, I remember him commenting on a TV show where people with long hair volunteered to have it cut off (not sure if for charity or just one of those "extreme makeover" shows), and once they'd committed they couldn't back out, but some of them started to freak out when the actual cutting started.

I appreciate it would probably not be good for sales, so this is not a suggestion, but I've always been a fan of the fully shaved skinhead look on women, to me "hack it all off" means no hair at all, the totally bald look, I'm always amused when people say they're going to "cut all their hair off" when what they actually mean is just shorten it somewhat.

Perhaps before making changes, shoot some specifically "long hair" scenes for your stockpile? Some years back there used to be a site that was all about women with very long hair having things like hot oil hair treatments, which they made wam-adjacent by having their models do it clothed, so their outfitt got drenched in the oil as well as their hair.

Cut it all off I say (as much as you're comfortable with). Just think how much easier the cleanup will be.

At the end of the day, it's what will feel comfortable with. You already said that your hair is like a comfort blanket, so it means a lot to you, not just how you look, but psychological as well.

I wouldn't go mad, cut it too short, dislike it, there's no going back.

Ultimately the decision is yours.

You'll look lovely, whatever you decide and whatever color you choose. Respect.

It's your hair, you have to live with it. The shorter you cut it, the longer you can go before needing the next trim.

I say cut it to your shoulders. I remember how cute it looked back when you first hit the scene

But I'd also LOVE to see you do a "good bye" video where you do one big final messy with your long hair.

Like have the girls come over and offer you one last and super nasty hair treatment for the road.

I like shorter hair that comes just above the shoulder. But at the end of the day, all we are is letters on a screen. You have to live with it every day. Cut it to a length you are both comfortable with and happy with. That is what matters.

Nipple length or shoulder length. Both are going to be great. It's alwsys great when hair reach "certain" length, e.g. Shoulders, nipples, bellybutton, ass etc

I am going to go against what everyone seems to be saying and vote for just a trim. I always thought your long hair was pretty, and I personally love how long hair looks getting messy.

You can always cut more off if you want to, but it doesn't grow back very quickly, so I would caution against doing a big chop all at once. It takes years to grow hair as long as yours from the shoulders, so I would be a little careful just in case it's something you would regret.

Plus, short hair definitely isn't always easier. It might save some time with cleaning out mess, but if it's too short, you can't just throw it up in a ponytail or braid. And, in my experience at least, short hair has to be styled more. Long hair just falls nicely on its own even when you don't put effort into it.

That's just my opinion though, you will look great with whatever you choose, Jayce!

As a fan of long hair I'll just say please dont cut too much off. I do understand your concerns and voted for the nipples option as a compromise. Disappointed to see the most drastic option has the most votes but it's still outweighed by the longer options combined.

Having said that it's your hair and I'm sure we'll all respect whatever choice you make. Also some years ago I bought your syrup bath video and thought your hair looked great in that when it was about shoulder blade length.

You should have it cut your way. You're the one that has to look at it.

What do YOU want though? I love your long hair, but I also think you'd look adorable with short hair. I'd play around with hair filters so you can get some ideas.

So I think you should shy away from something that can look manly (like avoid the hell out of what Evangeline Lily did to her hair or what Kaley Cuoco did where she went super short). Just do a length that makes you happy and you'll be fine.

Do a head shaving video, cut it all off go completely bald, you'll get alot of sales for that one, donate the hair to wigs for cancer patients, then do vids getting pied in the face completely bald, alot of folks here would love that, not alot of bald models getting pied, only 2 that I can think off offhand.

I had someone email me to do a scene where basically I beg to not have my hair cut but they put it in a ponytail and hack off the ponytail! Then? I get covered in tons and tons of syrup.

and yes, the shoulder length made me think about when I first started. I had my hair VERY long(not as long as this but pretty damn long) and I cut it right before I was introduced to wam.

I have gone through and am going through a lot right now....and I have talked about cutting it for atleast 7 months...and I feel like I need a change for a bit. My hair grows pretty fast. The last time I had a lot taken off was right before they had to take my big implants out which was sad. so? that was around 2019...I took off like 5 inches.
Ive been getting baby trims ever since.
anyway! it looks like I have a fun wetlook scene, and messy scene for the actual cutting of the hair which will be soooo nuts! ON CAMERA! whoa!

As a thought, would it be worth combining hair cutting and clothes cutting?

You start out in a really demure "someone would wear it to church" long dress with long sleeves, something pretty and very feminine, sweetheart neckline, flower prints perhaps.

You get messy, very messy. Make sure the dress is **totally** drenched in gloop all over, front, sides, sleeves, back, everywhere. Maybe start with a clothed cake-sit, then have stuff poured all over the dress while sitting down.

Then the dress is cut off you, bit by bit. Do it in stages, cut the sleeves open, then off, cut the skirt down to indecent length, cut the front open, till you're basically wearing sliced rags. But then the person who's been cutting the dress off, also starts cutting your hair off.

Then, before getting the hair fixed, clean up and do another scene with just roughly hacked-off hair, maybe with a post-apocalypse wasteland "Mad Max" feel to it.

Then go to the hairdresser and get it all sorted nicely, and do a special "Return" scene, featuring (and making a point of showing off) the brand new look.

That way you get the maximum possinble visual (and hopefully sales) impact from doing it?

Take it to the shoulders,then discuss with your hairdresser about an easy design to maintain;and planned, growing it longer in the future.

I like the cut-off pony tail followed by syrup coverage idea.

You could also do a similar scene where you are tarred and feathered after your pony tail is cut off. A great humiliation scene!

that will FOR SURE be happening. This is why, before I do any scenes of my hair getting cut off? Im having my hairdresser show me where, on a ponytail, we can cut it so that I can donate it
and HOW to cut the ponytail so I dont have it hacked off way shorter than I want it

Looks like ill be doing a lot of hair play and whatnot in my next scenes im filming before the cut! I will make sure to include some hairwashing at the end of my scenes so you all can enjoy the long hair too!
