Just after a bit of advice really. How long would you guys leave before calling it?
I paid a fairly popular and active model one here, for a custom at the back end of last year. They initially told me a couple of weeks, no problem. Then went away for weeks at a time, cool no problem, kept me fairly in the loop about it. 2 or so months later had more correspondance and they said it would be that week, perfect. Since then ive had absolutely nothing. The conversations were had through OF and ive even sent a couple of tipped messages because I know how inboxes can be on there. A couple were read but for the last 2 months or so Ive had nothing at all.
Would you guys call it at this point? Its just frustrating seeing the model in scenes for a bunch of producers on here and getting the usual group spam you do on OF and seeing them online every other day.
It depends what you mean by "calling it". Do you just mean giving up hope, or naming and shaming?
At this point, it seems unlikely that they'll do it, but maybe there are extenuating circumstances (e.g. if you want it to be filmed outdoors and they've been waiting for the right weather).
Since you've had all the conversations via OnlyFans, I'm guessing that this person isn't on the UMD's "approved for customs" list. If they're active here, but not approved for customs, that might be a cautionary tale for other people (although not much comfort for you).
Lead-time should have been agreed when the deal was negotiated, when we take customs here I always commit to "Your scene will be filmed within three months of the deposit being paid, if it isn't, we'll cancel and you get a full refund". It can take time to get everything set up and everyone in place, especially for a multi-girl shoot, hence the lead time, but once a deposit is paid the wheels should be in motion.
The lack of communications is worrying, that does sound like it's gone south, sadly.
Re models appearing for other producers, bear in mind some of us operate with large stockpiles of material shot previously. I may be an extreme case but I still have unreleased scenes featuring Chastity that we shot in 2013, just haven't got round to releasing them yet because we always shoot much faster than we release, hence the stockpile.
Was the vendor on the Approved Customs Producers List? If so, let MM know about the problems so he can consider whether they should be removed. If not, I'd suggest sticking to approved producers in future, it doesn't guarentee protection and a List producer could still go rogue, but it's a list of producers who are known to have done good custom work few or no complaints up till now.
I'm firmly in belief that, if you've been ghosted like it appears here, you should names the person, even if it was outside UMD that it was negotiated. May prompt a response, and if it doesn't then at least it may serve as a warning to others.
Unfortunately it appears like you may be ghosted. There is a section of the site called groups where there is a section about customs. There might be some people that watch that more active. I hope that you have a contract in place, something binding. You may have some recourse there. In the custom group there are some people that have taken time and put together a pretty decent looking contract. Tipping messages through OF only gives this person more of your money and no guarantee of a response. They know the custom has been paid for, they know you are waiting as evidence by the communication that was pretty steady. You could blast them on their OF but that might just get you banned. At the very least I would post a warning message on their OF to hopefully discourage others thinking about getting a custom until you can get your issue resolved. I would expect at this point at the very least a refund. Do you have any evidence that supplies were purchased for your custom? If there were specific clothing items purchased, have you seen those items in other videos?
If you did you negotiations on OF the important date is 90 days since you tipped. You can file for a refund up until that point. I usually keep track for customs and then contact OF customer support around day 85 if I haven't received my custom yet. I have been ghosted quite a few times but knowing the 90 days has been a big help.

Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
Yeah, I'm with Dungeon on this one. See if they are in the approved seller list and contact MM via PM. He will investigate the matter and determine if outing the person on here is required to further protect the rest of the community from being taken advantage of. If they are on the list, chances are likely they will be removed for violating ToS. If not, MM will make a determination in whether or not it's best to warn the rest of us.
The read receipts are the big red flag as far as I am concerned. She clearly read your messages. She just isn't interested in replying which is unfortunate. Communication is key. If you are not consistently communicating with those who are entrusting you with their money to create a scene, then that's a huge problem
Damn I wish I knew about the 90 days thing, I just waited way over 3 months (from a model who'd turned around the last one in a week) and it was so poor, it felt like she'd deliberately done the bare minimum. So disappointed aftet waiting months on end

I would personally consider doing this, if not for the sake of getting their response... but for the sake of potentially saving future buyers the hassle of being burned like this. That being said, if the model you purchased the custom from is on UMD and offers customs, Messmaster may be a great resource in getting this resolved.
I wish I knew about that 90 day rule too, that could have helped a few previous situations too! Im pretty sure we're way past that point now.
I'll check and see if theyre on the approved sellers list. It seems as though they are online here pretty much every day.
There wasnt really a lot to it in terms of filming conditions, and they let me know all the things ordered had arrived. Ive seen a few screenshots of deliveries and stuff.
I didnt want to name and shame publicly but I'll check the approved custom list and go from there!

Has this actually worked? Back when I needed a refund from OF they told me to go pound sand. I did a chargeback, they banned me for it, and that was the end of my relationship with those scam artists.
When were you burned? When they said a couple of week, then a couple of weeks went by and they didn't: A: issue a refund. B: Stay in great contact with you, apologize then film it.
It's not your fault. If you do a lot of customs, then you've been burned. I have, a few times actually also by notable models. I'd call them out by name so others here can avoid your same experience.

They agreed everything, time scale the lot. Then after Id sent the money said they were going away for a couple of weeks so hoped to film before then. That was cool, then they didnt get it done. They stayed in semi contact, I had a few replies in this time. Then about 8 weeks ago, started leaving me on read, and now not even reading messages at all.
I have had made a fair few customs, and Ive had my fair share of long waits and delays, but ive always been kept in the loop, at least a little bit.

Why the reluctance to name and shame , when you have brought this issue to the forum. Just for the sake of stopping anyone else getting hooked by this Producer . I see you have been a member here on the site for 11 year and surely you must have seen other members get ghosted/ burned by unscrupulous producers offering customs . Things got to a point when MM took action to create the Approved to offer Customs list to stop this very thing from happening . I'll wager this Producer is Not approved to offer customs and on their profile has the ambiguous Connect with Customers quote .
As a community we have been let down by models and producers who were "popular and active" so don't be worried by the fact it may be someone that we feel we know well. We have certainly seen unfilmed customs and withheld money being an issue in the past.
I'm wary of the public naming and shaming as that can create lots of accusations going back and forth. Its certainly worth drawing it to MM's attention though, but equally if they are not approved to offer customs on here and it was negotiated through OF there may be nothing he can do to help.
I hope that you are able to reach some kind of conclusion on this.

When you paid upfront for a custom and didn't receive it, rarely will there be any accusations going back and forth if the models reply. I'd be able to screenshot everything; all of my communications and my payment confirmation. They'd have nothing to reply with.
And by the way, burn a model and see what happens. One model I know had a guy try to charge back the entire custom amount after receiving it. She posted his email, phone number and real name so other models could avoid him.

Fwiw Manyvids treats its customers way better.
You have to be within 90 days and provide screenshots of your payment and negotiations with the model on OF. File a complaint under "Content Not Received" and you should hear back within a day or two. (This is why I usually contact around 80/85 days at most. OF might ask you to reach out to the model again but it will get a dialogue going. I have gone through this too many times and the only ones that have been denied have been after 90 days. Like I said, now I keep careful track of when I place my first tips but I have been refunded 6-7 times.
I have still received subpar product on the site but that's not the same thing.

You have to watch your payment method. Peer to peer like Cashapp, Venmo, and PayPal friends and family are not subject to disputes or chargebacks. Because of this, it's a scam artist's favorite method of collecting payment. I'll do PayPal goods and services since it's subject to dispute.
I also don't screw around. If I paid and they said it would be delivered by the "10th" and they're non-responsive, I'm filing a chargeback on the 12th. If you take money from someone and promise to deliver on a certain date, you'd better be on your game...cause I don't give a shit what your excuse is if you're not in contact with me.

Agreed.
Also, I've found don't make deals to unlock content, subscriptions etc. with creators you don't have a relationship with because OF will not refund those under this same premise. It might seem obvious but I've done it a couple of times for small sums of money and taken losses.
