First time/long time poster here. I just wanted to share a cool project I'm working on. I'm an artist here in NYC and I painted a wall in my studio to resemble a 90s era messy gameshow set. Ok, it's very inspired by The Pie Pod set from What Would You Do
Anyway, I plan on shooting some very messy pie and slime content (PG female stuff) and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts about those old Nick shows, and what you'd want to see! I know those late 80s, early 90s shows like Double Dare, WWYD and Wild & Crazy Kids were super influential on so many of us growing up in the US at that time.
Unfortunately, I won't actually be building a working Pie Pod here. That dream must be realized by another

I second all of this. With some added emphasis Great work from an artistic standpoint by the way! Looks great!
You guessed it, the models will be perfectly lined up with the bullseye, by way of an adjustable chair. I actually used my wife (who is 5'6") to measure the average, so as long as the model is between 5'3" and 5'9", I'll be able to get them perfectly centered.
I see a strong case for YCDTOTV slime, which I was already quite partial towards. Definitely need a slime first scene that flips the script on the pie centric theme. You know, I also loved the Crowning Glory...but more in concept...not in the results. And to me, achieving the perfect coverage is the true objective. I'm really going for a visual explosion between the crazy background and the crazy pie & slime mess.

Nice. WWYD was the holy grail. There has never been anything better (4 me). It wasn't because of their artwork or contraptions, however. It was because they had a large, live crowd watching the messy action and laughing at the victim of the pie or mess. Unfortunately, without the crowd (and specifically the great camera angle capturing the pied person with the crowd laughing behind them) it will just be more of the same content with cool artwork. I always thought it was weird having a solo girl hitting herself with pies. A person hitting themselves with a pie with no one around is kind of like telling a joke with no one around to hear it. It doesn't make sense, it doesn't work as a gag. For a pie in the face to work you need observers, the more the better. Also, the hotter (females) the better!
