I agree completely. It's why I don't mind scripted WAM. It might not be spontaneous and the model might not be a wammer but she still agreed to it knowing full well what awaited her. This was a great hit too.
Boy, I really love this one. It ticks every box for me 1. A great single hit 2. The cake/pie is white 3. The context is comedic in nature 4. The woman is smiling and relaxed before the hit 5. I can sense that the recipient is having fun and thinks it is funny. 6. Great coverage
The Barbara Mandrell pie is another example of this. This is also why piejinx/piesnextdoor was the producer whose material I enjoyed the most, (and no I didn't buy it, so I can't complain that it has disappeared). IMO this cake hit is an instant classic!

Does it tick your box for making NO sense whatsoever? Are air filters meant to stop flying cakes?

The fact that an actual ad agency pitched an idea where they would illustrate the effectiveness of an air filter by throwing a cake in a woman's face.... and an actual company said, "Sounds good!"...... are both huge positives in my book.
I'm suspecting this was possibly a take two as well - her hair is a little wet at the time of the cake hit, suggesting that she had a wash prior to the take. Great hit nonetheless. Do you think we could illustrate the comfort of chairs by getting models to sit on cakes as well?
