Can't wait until everyone has the pleasure to view my content as I will post on my IG officialkaitlyntee on a regular basis. I have custom orders through there I will be filling and once the customers get their copy I will make available for download. So much greatness to come.
Mentioning that you offer customs on another site is OK because I still try to support those businesses. It's soliciting UMD members and doing the business here that must be approved beforehand, and KaitlynTee has not violated that rule.
But please still be very careful in commissioning any customs. Do a contract. And have provisions in it for what happens when things fall through.

So basically make sure people get their money back when the custom can't be done "all of a sudden"

(I beg your pardon, Kaitlyn, for interrupting your post)
There's always an element of risk in any transaction involving distance and digital goods.
The UMD can't protect us from ourselves - and it has no control over external sites - but we do try to make sure that this kind of business is carried out properly within the auspices of the site. Hence the approval system. The risk is greatly diminished when the customs producer is as keen to protect their reputation as the customer is to get a great custom for their money. Reciprocal trust. Having said that, it's still only an approval and not a guarantee!
Here's my advice:
Choose your producer wisely. Everyone's got to start somewhere but usually, even a serious newcomer will need to demonstrate that they have already produced good media of the kind you are looking for.
Don't risk any money you are not prepared to lose. Backing a newcomer is always a gamble.
A good arrangement is to negotiate a deposit rather than pay the whole lot before there's evidence of production. Ask the producer to send you a script - to which you'll agree or re-negotiate amendments. This will also outline the time frame, payment amounts and schedule and broadly be your contract. It is normal that you should pay the full balance before the film is handed over but you might reasonably ask for a sample of the finished media - as proof it exists - before you hand over the cash.
There are a number of really great and reliable professional customs producers who have been around for many years. They might sound expensive but you will get a great piece of media in return.
Here are some helpful platitudes:
You get what you pay for If it sounds too good to be true - it usually is.
Very cute, young thing, you are beautiful. I like the pic of you, kind of looking over your shoulder, with a devilish smile. It says "I'm sweet, but I can be nasty". Saw your IG Officialkaitlyntee liked your sister pieing you, and her slimeing you. You should post it here.
Wow your pics are incredible. Id love to be on the receiving end of those yummy pies if you are ever looking to unload those on a willing face, hit me up!
Not sure how many people bought customs, but you know there's at least a couple. Due to the basic backdrop and I assume a very basic recording setup along with a brand new face, I'll say $800. I remember her posting a pic on not doing nudity but in the OP there's a topless pic. Sorry Rich, but I'm rooting for Bama.
I guess this is that "can't be done all of a sudden" issue I raised in my first post on this thread....
I'll give Scumbag Chris credit: As many roadblocks as MM tries to throw up, every year or so he finds a way to circumvent them and separate good UMDers from their money.
The "follow my link on Instagram" should've been the dead giveaway. Hmm.... "She" is on the UMD, which has a customs procedure in place with oversights so customers won't get scammed, but "she" would prefer you to contact her on IG and send her money directly?? AND you say she's a brand-new model with no past history or background? Almost as if some scumbag from Boston just shot a local girl for $100, then created a fake profile from the pictures he took over a half hour? Hmmm.......
Guys, it bears repeating: Do NOT think with your dick. ESPECIALLY when it comes to giving "girls" money online with no recourse if they turn out to be a dude scamming you. Also, the people who pull for Bama also enjoy kicking puppies.
Good advice. A lesson learned. I vow to support the stores doing hard work and producing us great content in 2019. I liked helping people get their stores off the ground, but I just can't get cheated again.
Maybe pin this as a 'here's how NOT to commission a custom'... Sorry to hear some people got shit on... If it makes you feel any better I had a tree fall and crush both my and my brother's cars. We got a total of $1400 between us and it was a township parks and rec parking lot...
Ok folks, if you took the bait and got screwed out of $$$, don't hesitate to come forward. We just want to see if the over/under $1,000 would have won. I'll take the under.
Please, please, please keep this in mind: If you're going to order a custom from someone, THEY NEED TO HAVE A STORE FIRST. It's only fair to expect a producer or model to have some skin in the game before asking anyone to pony up hundreds of dollars for a custom scene. Sorry to hear of anyone getting burned, and I don't want to discourage supporting a new producer, but make sure they've produced a few scenes first.
I thought everyone knew this was Scumbag Chris and was surprised that he was allowed to operate here again."She" originally posted on Instagram under the name "MessyAllure" and if i'm not mistaken was one of his shell companies from a while back.
I have no idea who this Chris actually is (or rather, can someone remind which scams he tried way back, as I've forgotten or mixed them up with others) but I think I have found a file photo of him.

This, 100%. MM can put rules and safeguards in place, but even he can't do anything if the unscrupulous don't abide by them. When that happens, it's down to us to protect ourselves by not falling for every pretty pied face on here. We need to think with our heads and not our groins, which means not handing over our trust without at least an interim period of getting to know the new member first.
I suppose this hasn't (yet) been officially declared a scam - this thread isn't locked and the OP's profile is still active - but it doesn't look good. I've been wondering about it as each day has passed without the OP logging in (10 days now), not to mention that "she's" just pitched up and started offering customs out of nowhere, and they were being arranged away from the safety of UMD. Sorry folks, but spotting these things as red flags should not be difficult.
The only positive thing to say is to give credit to Richard Trouso. He may have been diplomatic in his phrasing, but reading between the lines of his post shows he smelt a rat three weeks ago.

Yep, and right at that same time someone confirmed to me privately that "she" was ScumbagChris. No evidence, but it made sense, and I passed that info on to MM, but privately. That was [checks messages] 19 days ago.
In hindsight, maybe I should've come right out and said something on the forum. It probably would've saved a few folks a few hundred, maybe. On the flipside, the UMD has a long and unfortunate history of falling over themselves whenever a new "female" profile appears, and those who dare question "her" legitimacy are usually shouted down for fear of "driving away new female members."
We basically make it extremely easy for scammers to prey. That's all I'm saying. The fact that one guy has pulled this same scam about 6 different times should tell you something.

He was behind the Wamdreams profile with 'messymichelle' and I think he was linked to Skylar too? He would make accounts and offer customs but then never hold up his end of the deal. I also remember his models would conveniently get sick after customs were ordered. Those were the ones I had noticed but there were more before that apparently

Ahhhhh yeah, of course, that guy. Thanks.
I was initially hesitant to cry foul because the model IS cute, but as soon as over Christmas there were "time limited" offers on the IG like "pay $400 NOW for 10 customs!!11!", it looked more and more like a quick kill scam. Let's just say I was very happy to let someone else test the waters and report back first.
On the other hand I did save the "demo" videos so not a total loss.

Side note - on at least a few occasions "sick" was a euphemism for "in jail for an indeterminate amount of time". Some of the team members were apparently not too discrete about soliciting donations for services rendered in the real world.

As in the models? Or people helping Chris? I always assumed it was just him running the show
