One of my own personal pet peeves in pie videos is the pie filling being too small. I'm the kind of guy that wants to have the filling be as high or higher than the tin or crust is deep. If the pie filling is lower than the rim of the pie tin it's almost a deal breaker for me. Anyone else feel this way?
That's precisely why I only use store bought pies with my wife. She's even said it: "If I'm going to lap dance my way into that pie, it better be a good one. I'm not doing it for nothing, ya know". And who am I to argue when she looks as good as she does doing it?
Absolutely. I'm from the Neil Edward's School of Pie in that I want a large mound of cream atop my pie (sometimes in bright colors and usually with filling underneath it). While flat pies might work surprisingly well for coverage, I just love the splatter of an overflowing pie.
On a side note, Kakekid, I am a huge fan of your Homecoming Bake Sale series, especially the final three chapters.
I don't care quite as much as the OP about the pie showing over the top, but I do prefer full-sized pies to miniature pies. I want face coverage, and love to see the pie like a mask showing the outline underneath. That's hard to do when someone is hit with a mini pie the size of a cupcake.
I'm going to buck the trend in this discussion and say there is such a thing as too much. I see it mostly with shaving cream pies. I want to see some of the face (or other body part) under the mess.
I'm such a newb, I'd not even thought about size. As with everything in life, I'm just polite and work with what I've got Definitely going to think about depth and girth from now on
It aint the size for me. I enjoy huge heavier payload pies and small dainty ones, it's the splat and coverage i'm after, and they both offer different kinds of both

Absolutely, which is why I've been using dough as a pie filling. My pies have to go into my face and leave me totally plastered and unrecognisable

I like getting nice a fancy pie or two for the wife but she told me stop cause she wants to eat it n feels like it's a waist of of a nice pie that people worked hard on. I think it adds to the fun but also supports small business. But guess can't complain she lets me pie/ slime her sometimes
