Shorter answer: NO. NO GOOD PIES.

I remember 20 years ago when folks got bored with all the wam scenes happening each week on The Richard Bey Show......i.e. while the show was on the air some folks were bored with the repetitive and monotonous nature of the wam scenes and were yawning and begging for some more variety of scenes. And then the show got cancelled and went off the air for good.....and pretty soon folks were yearning for that show to come back....and today it is a fondly missed show.

I guess we are at this stage with this Brazilian show.......it was great at first....but the format is so monotonous and repetitive now that I wish they would change the format of the games or do something unique....like plastering the female host of the show at least once. Thats the ONLY reason I watch it now....I skip to the last minute of the show to see if the female host gets it or not.....otherwise it's "game over".

Mark, I can save you a ton of hassle by putting on my Nostradamus cap: Female host will NEVER be pied. They got the previous male host (now kicked off the show) and multiple crew members (even a female, not on camera of course) in the first years. No one's even made an attempt with her. And I don't see it happening now, when she's the (literal) face of this program.

That said, we're not JUST bored. Mostly the pies, and the pieings, are lackluster. Last week turned out to be shockingly good, and THAT got people excited. But a really good week is becoming more of an anomaly.

FTR I never really liked the Richard Bey show... Great in theory (real bakery pies, often smashed with force) but lousy for targets (mostly unattractive women in bland white T-shirts). There were a few cute girls here and there, of course. I think people mostly watched it because there weren't a lot of other sources for WAM back then.

One wonders why the female host of that show ever applied for, and was hired for that job....because as you say, she is a "no hoper" and definitely NOT a wam fan herself.....cos when there is pie anarchy taking place at the end of each show, and she remains in the background unscathed, then it is all too obvious that she has a "no pies clause" written into her contract and the castmembers of the show have obviously been coached not to dare land any pies on her. She appears to be the "anti-XUXA".....cos Xuxa has had numerous gameshows and variety shows and never been afraid to "get stuck in" Also, you have other celebs bigger than her who host reality shows and never been afraid to "get stuck in: when the pies or mess was flying.....I am thinking here of Heidi Klum....who has gotten wet or messy on numerous shows. For example.....Heidi did not need to get involved with this messy stunt....she was seated miles away from the stage....but she chose to jump up and goto the stage to get messy because she wanted to....

Take that annoying sidekick dude on the show "Noches Con Platanito"....this guy actually begs the contestants to nail him with pies....that is the sort of female host for a gameshow you need.....somebody like Heidi who loves to get involved...or somebody like that Mexican dude who begs the contestants to nail him with pies as well. Somebody like Holly Willoughby who was never afraid to get messy.....

So I cannot figure out how this Brazilian lady got the job as co host when she obviously does not like pies or want to be involved at all.

Agreed on your points, but it's traditionally the male who is the "clown" in these shows. The sidekick who has embarrassing (not just messy) things happen to him. Andy Richter on the old Conan O'Brien show... Hank, the (fake) sidekick on the (fake) Larry Sanders show... and so on. (Weirdly, not Ed McMahon so much.)

The Noches dude is supposed to be the butt of every joke and always gets messier in the messy games than the contestants. (I'd say he might be a WAMmer, but more than likely he just doesn't have any self-respect.) There was also some curly-haired guy on The Noite who had a segment where he got very messy with hot female celebs.... I kinda thought he *could* be a WAMmer, because why else would you suggest that kind of segment? It was definitely a WAMmer's dream for a lot of guys.
(Anyway, curly-haired dude lately just likes to receive more than give. All the recent Noite episodes where he gets messy, it's at the hand of a female celeb who always stays 100% clean. Frustrating.)

The "no-pies" host from Conexao is simply following in the long Latin American tradition of "hot female hostess who can't get messy." Both of the Mega Match hostesses for starters. (Mark, weren't you the one who said it had something to do with their love of beauty queens and not wanting to "besmirk" their beauty, or whatever?)
And the one female host of Passa ou Repassa somehow managed to never get pied, whereas Celso used to get pied like it was in his job description or something.

If anything, Xuxa was the exception that proved the rule. The fact that she somehow manages to get messy in EVERY show she does--even her current "Low-Rent Oprah" one--speaks volumes.

Oh....I don't blame South America for giving us mindless entertainment....cos we have plenty of stupid shows in the USA as well....e.g. You can lose a few braincells watching Jerry Springer as well.

The main difference between the mindless gamehows and reality shows from South America, Japan and Italy....and the mindless shows done in the USA is that they are far more politically incorrect and have far better looking women participating than the shows you see in the USA.....e.g. CM models has an amazing cast, whereas Jerry Springer seems to have casting calls at local trailer parks...ha ha

I dunno about you.....but personally I am not affected by the dumb and inane nature of such shows, because I never actually watch them in real time with the sound turned on. This is just "sound off - fast forward fodder" for me.....cos 90% of the shows with wam scenes I never watch in real time with the sound on, and 90% of the shows I actually watch on TV never have any wam scenes at all (e.g. Discovery Channel and History Channel documentaries). There are very few movies or tv shows I actually watch in real time that have wam scenes....so basically I mostly "watch what I never save" and I "save what I never watch".

But I will sit thru a 3 Stooges film....one of my guilty pleasures.

Same here. This past week, I skimmed through the last CM (nothing good) and a bunch of episodes of EEG Panama (surprisingly decent). No need for sound... I don't speak the language, I'm only looking for WAM stuff.

On the other hand, this past week on the big flatscreen (NOT the computer monitor) was:
Better Call Saul, The Americans, Fargo, Veep, and Brooklyn 9-9 (which is technically a SMART dumb show). All watched in real time for pleasure.

Real TV viewing and WAM viewing are two extremely different things.

Just think of the scariest thing: There is an audience of young Brazilian women who watch Conexao Models religiously. There exist people out there who actually like the show and don't just want to jerk off to it.

That's literally every show that WAMmers "watch" tho. Family Challenge and Slime Time Live and Mega Match and EEG were all watched by real people, somewhere, who didn't care in the slightest about pies or slime.

There is no channel whose viewership is so bad that they can produce a show SOLELY for WAM enthusiasts to jerk off to... and stay on the air.

Of course ... BUT ... once you do find a good wam scene, I highly recommend porting to the big flatscreen for the best quality wanking.

There's absolutely no way in hell this program will return for a 4th season. Assuming it survives the 3rd season.

My guess is that the host will tire of the format (just like the Celso guy), quit the program and bring CM to an official end.

The allure of CM remains the cast of (a) exceptionally-pretty (b) relatively innocent (c) beautifully dressed (d) reluctant girls who (e) week after week become WAM models.

I'm not a WAM historian but I don't think there's been another program that has combined all of these elements. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Rich: well, there was a cable show called "International Beautiful Ladies" (or women, or girls, or something similar) which featured a half dozen gravure scenes per episode and in which at least two per episode were wam -oriented or had wam content...most of the wam stuff was outdoor mud (or other substance, like paint) and filmed in Romania or Bulgaria...but all scenes were obviously fetishistic and had to be the main selling point....sadly, the show only lasted 1 or 2 seasons and disappeared....poor placement and promotion methinks (since many if not all of the scenes were filmed specifically for the show, and were not available on the Interwebs)....cold have been something...

Wamajama:- the wam scenes you saw on that International Sexy Ladies show came from MY sites....and my Romanian partner and I were not too pleased about it....cos they literally stole the media from our websites and then re-edited it without our permission, and then they overdubbed their own narrations to the scenes....where they promptly made fun of the wam fetish and mocked wam people and so they basically stole my footage and called us a bunch of loonies.

It's bad enough to steal our media, re-edit our footage, and then add their own commentary where they mock us as if we are a bunch of perverts.....we could live with all that if they had given us a CREDIT notice and mentioned our website....but they failed to give us any credit either.

Whats the difference between being mocked as a pervert,,,,and being accepted into society where nobody would dare to mock you - answer = about 100 million people. I.E. when you are in a tiny group of 7000 wam fetishists in the world....you are subject to riducule and mockery and called a pervert. When you are in the LGBTQ community and are 1-3% of the population you become a protected species that nobody dares to mock and call perverted you get your own parades too.

We have had our media featured on numerous tv shows in the last 20 years...and have generally been ridiculed on most American and British shows we have appeared on. The only country that has always given us a fair shake were the German TV shows...they always presented things fairly without mocking us/

FYI Mark, after the Olivia Munn "Pie-Gate" controversy from years ago--where apparently angry WAMmers ARE enough of the population to at least make themselves aware to a channel as tiny and shitty as G4TV was back then--the G4TV folks took it upon themselves to "mock" the WAM community in a bizarre hatchet-job segment.

As with everything else that channel did, they got it wrong. (Apparently WAMmers are turned on by women EATING pies?!?!)

But they wound up stealing some footage off YouTube for their hatchet job piece... including a free trailer of mine off YouTube (with my copyright logo still present!). I think they might've stole some footage of yours and Lenny and maybe Neil too, can't quite remember.

I just added additional info to said YouTube trailer: "As seen on G4TV!" Got a lot more hits too.

But years ago, some syndicated show contacted me about using my footage for one of their segments. They offered me really good money, and I kept the rights. Never saw the segment (someone told me they did mock the entire concept) but their check cleared, so I honestly didn't care.

Well yeah, of course. Wait ... I haven't been doing this wrong the whole time, have I? Fuck, have I wasted my whole life on the wrong site?!

Rich....if they paid you then you have done far better than Lenny and I ever did....cos we were constantly invited to appear on various tv shows, but they always wanted to film one of our shoots in progress and wanted US to pay for the production costs and models....and then they wanted to sponge off our footage at our expense and use it on their show and not even have the courtesy to quote our website address in the credits. Also I remember a producer from The Jerry Springer show who wanted me to bring 2-3 of our models to demonstrate a wam scene on his show. When I asked them if they were willing to pony up the costs for the airtickets to fly to Chicago for the taping of the show plus hotel rooms and a fee for our models....they balked and wanted me to pay for all costs....cos they tought it would be good exposure for us.....give me a break. I told them to get lost.

Then there is the horror story of what happened to Rob Blaine when he was contacted by the producers of the HBO Show "Real Sex". They basically scammed him into paying around 10 grand to build a custom mud pit in the desert and incur loads of travel costs for himself and his crew,....all on the promise that Messy Fun would be able to secure the rights to the footage and get promotion for Messy Fun. When Rob had built the mud pit in the desert and was ready to commence shooting....HBO showed up with their own camera crew and their own talent that refused to sign model release forms with Rob and would only allow HBO's crew to film them and so only HBO could use the footage. Basically HBO used Rob and his friends to scout the location and build the set, and then they cut Rob out and refused to let Rob film at his own shoot - they took advantage of Rob's set....leaving Rob high and dry with all the expenses and no usable footage.

Lenny can relate a few horror stories about being taken to the cleaners by tv production people as well. Bill Shipton of Splosh magazine was hired as consultant for the wam scene they made with Billie Piper scene on the UK tv show "Secret Diary of a Call Girl" and also John Waters used Bill as his main soure for the wam scene on Water's 2004 movie "A Dirty Shame".....and Bill was promised a credit on those shows....but all those producers did was to suck his brains for knowledge of the wam culture and not give Bill any credit at all/

So.....every time I see some TV Producer posting messages on this forum asking for help in researching the wam culture,,,,,,my reaction is to want to tell them to stick a huge cream pie where the sun don't shine -- mind you, there are some folks on this forum that might enjoy that..

All of those "horror stories" could have been avoided by getting a proper contract. There's no excuse for spending any money for a business transaction without having a written contract. If you're spending 10 grand on something, you can spend a few hundred to have a lawyer write up a contract.

If it's not in writing and signed by both parties, it's not real.

Thieves don't sign contracts.

It would be a lot simpler if they did (especially with a certain site where thieves upload literally hundreds of WAM clips).

We attempted to get Jerry Springer to sign a contract or give us a commitment. I said to them.....send me the airtickets to Chicago and coupons for the hotel rooms....and their answer was that we have to pay our own travel costs to get to the studio. So that was defacto an attempt to get a commitment from them and they balked....so I rejected their offer....so it was no loss on my part. Unfortunately for Rob Blaine,,,,he was a nice guy who trusted HBO to live up to their commitments...and they did not.

So it is very simple when dealing with tv companies.....if they approach you...ask them to "put up or piss off".

This is the scariest thing about Esto Es Guerra. 99.99% of people watching it - for 2 hours every frikkin day - are doing so for its entertainment value. A children's gameshow played by twentysomething models. It's their equivalent of scripted reality shows or soap operas.

What is even scarier is that an average of 18 million people sat thru listening to Fran Drescher in The Nanny tv series each week and Bea Arthur had 20 million watching her show. And an average of 4 million people per day currently watch and listen to Joy Behar on The View. These are shows that should be played 24/7 to the inmates at Guantanamo Bay.

I keep telling my wife that whenever she sees I am actually watching mindless gameshows in real time and I stop using the mute and fast forward buttons on the remote, it's time buy a gun and shoot me or send me to the funny farm.

I think the unintentional takeaway of Mark's horror stories is that there was a time (the mid-1990's, actually) when a WAM PRODUCER could actually AFFORD to spend 10 GRAND building a mud pit!!!

You could've listed literally THOUSANDS of shows infinitely worse than those two.

I guess the old "get it in writing first" rule still applies (which I'm sure you follow)...though I imagine many folks opt not to do this (from time to time) because they come to believe that they "need" the publicity (which is seldom "free") to make more money...so they go along (and get ripped off or screwed or disrespected or all of the above)....guess that is the working business model of these shyster rip-off ("run and gun") TV producers....

For me (when i started making wam content)....I did not want ANY extra (outside the wam community) publicity (I was making enough extra cash to not care) 'cause I thought that somehow I would get "outted" or exposed...

...while channel surfing last year, I chanced upon a "kids" show (targeted I think at young teens and tweens) where the cute, pig-tailed blond in gym shorts takes a spectacular face-first fall into a mud pit (as part of an obstacle course) and emerges completely plastered head to toe in mud...the boyfriend approaches her in a befuddled attempt to help her, while another character notes to her friend "Gee, a pretty girl covered in mud...there's NO WAY a guy would find THAT attractive!" (or something similar to this; meaning was clear,: a pretty girl covered in goo/mud/whatever is appealing to teen-aged boys)...kind of shocking (and the writers had to know what they were doing)...not too dissimilar from that old Family Matters cafeteria food fight where Erkle declares how "strangely exhilarating" watching the girls tit-for-tat food fight was to him (to much laughter)...

Despite wammers constant claims to being weird and outsiders and "perverts", there are many, many examples from MSM demonstrating the universal (and often erotic) appeal of messy fun/wam scenes (if done right, sometimes even when not)...some of it is salirophilia...but much of it is just depicted as a fun/novel way to engage with a partner...

I will never understand why people here like to take on this victim mentality that we're persecuted by society for having an unusual sexual fetish. As far as fetishes go, ours is not widely known and generally pretty innocuous. Of course there will be idiots making fun of it for a quick buck, but that happens to every fetish.
