At my job, we have a running tally of days without accidents, and rewards for hitting certain milestones.
At 6 months without accidents from employees, customers, or vendors there's a Pie A Manager event, although we've hit that, but I was never told about that day.
Anyways, in the back of my mind, I'd like to approach one of my managers, and share with them that I have a very specific set of skills. A set of skills that would be useful in this situation. I can make great looking pies for a low price. Much better in quality than they would probably use, but I can't say for certain, because I've never actually seen the end result.
The other part of my brain says this would be very bad idea. And it probably is. If they did such a day, I would probably need to act nonchalant about it, even though there are some who I really am chalant about seeing get a good pie.
I have been asked on occasion at work why my license plate says "Mr Cake"-- very very few people are aware of what I do with my free time so I usually concoct some story about how I just bake special birthday cakes for friends from time to time
I think it depends on what kind of person you are. If you are worried about someone at work making a connection I wouldn't do it. On the flip side, someone might find out that you share some skills and it could lead to a new play mate. I guess it depends on what things you are ok with getting out. If all else fails, you could always claim that you worked at a pie booth at a state fair during the summer or something similar.

Well, technically those are also cakes so you're not lying
This scenario would make a good story or custom. There are so many outcomes. I like dalamar666's outcome of finding a coworker that realizes your skills. Have there been "pie your boss" scenes that simulate a company event? I have seen scenes that include a boss.

Someone asked me about my license plate, which is PIER2D. They pronounced it as Pier 2D. I corrected them, it's pronounced Pi R Squared. I can always claim I'm a math fan, which isn't untrue.

I'm a very anxious person, with a light stutter, and when I get nervous, or emotional, I stutter worse. Which is why I can't lie.
To be clear, this is the same random thought generator that makes all those bad ideas. I don't think I could really do this.

I'd urge strongly against, because of the risk that at some point in the future someone puts two and two together and starts thinking you were mis-using a work event for sexual enjoyment. It's all to easy to do a think off the cuff, and only afterwards realise you're going to spend years regretting it, or worse, worrying about potential negative consequences.
