Thought her trigger words video was awesome, she took the gunge like a champ! And she braved the human car wash no problem too, especially the foam and the last gunging at the end, idk if it's been said or mentioned, but is there a chance of her working with you guys again? For never getting gunged before her first 2 videos have been great! It would be awesome to see her come back again! Would love to see her in the plunga!
Sorry to be nagative, but what's with the massive extra idents blocking the view? To be honest I often look at your promos only to be put off by those, but given in this case you're actually promoting Ava's shiny leggings, but then blocking almost all view of said leggings in the samples, it seems particularly counter-productive. I don't mean to knock, esp as a fellow producer, but it really is a very off-putting feature of your promos to me.
I can see you've improved the car-wash from a visual POV - it always used to look like it would be utterly amazing fun to actually be in, but rather less to watch as the foam and equipment largely blocked the view of the actually messing happening - though that would accurately recreate the feel of 90s gunge-tank TV shows where the gunge sprayed off the person's head and coated the inside of the tank, blocking the view completely. New version seems much better from a "view" POV.
But given you have a normal-sized ident top left anyway, why the huge extra ones? Is it to spite the people who just collect freebies and don't buy (which is how it reads to me, which comes over a bit mean-spirited), or some other reason?
Looking at your actual download site, once I'd found the scene (which was a bit tricky because the auto-slider thing slid it out of view almost as soon as I opened the site) I can see there are clearer previews there without view-blocking idents - and TBH this scene does appeal to me, nice girl, lovely outfit, and it does look like we can properly see her get messy.
My own view as a producer is that to an extent we owe the community a certain level of freebies, in my case I vividly remember the years when there was no way I could afford to buy downloads, and made do with a collection of samples. Those days are well behind me now but I know there will be others in the same boat I was in back then. Plus of course a steady supply of freebies brings more people to this site to see everyone else's plugs and advertising. It's in all our interestes to keep UMD as the No1 destination for all wammers, a fragmented commuinity is a weakened community. Hence why I always include plenty of free samples in my own releases. I trust those who can afford to to buy the scenes anyway, esp as free pics will never really compete with high-def video.
DungeonMasterOne, thank you for taking the time to share with us your feedback, we do respectfully disagree and I will take the courtesy to respond to your points below...

There are many unmarked promos, images, free trailers, and opportunities for you to make an informed decision on our website. Without the idents many people often will not know where the content has come from even though we clearly link to it, these images are often shared on all sorts of websites and we obviously want to make sure people know where they can find them.
I can see you've improved the car-wash from a visual POV - it always used to look like it would be utterly amazing fun to actually be in, but rather less to watch as the foam and equipment largely blocked the view of the actually messing happening
As with all wam content, this is one view, but we have had contrasting feedback that the lack of foam and the tidier look ruin the atmosphere, so balance is tricky as I'm sure you can appreciate. We will endeavour to mix both styles.

It's completely clear that this is a request of viewers from a particular TV show, but we like to try and make our devices as unique to us as we can and more aimed at viewers (i.e, more mess, no distracting views etc.
But given you have a normal-sized ident top left anyway, why the huge extra ones? Is it to spite the people who just collect freebies and don't buy (which is how it reads to me, which comes over a bit mean-spirited), or some other reason?
As explained above, there are full images, so everyone can see if the video is suitable for them, on all our outlets. We must be mindful to run our business correctly to ensure we can always provide good value for our viewers and subscribers alike, and that includes being responsible with our public content and ensuring we ident our images. I would fully expect this as a (non-paying) consumer looking at a public preview.

This is the actual link to the details page for the download for anyone interested: https://liquidx.tv/downloads/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=500
All content can be found in the Latest Updates links or All Videos and we have a search bar on the download store to help find the videos if needed.
My own view as a producer is that to an extent we owe the community a certain level of freebies,
Our first priority MUST always be to our subscribers and customers, they make their valuable contribution and help fund the content enjoyed by everyone. Without them and our upfront investment, there would be no Messyworld. Despite us regularly giving away free content, trailers and a free video every so often, we are always mindful of ensuring we are not disrespecting those who contribute by giving away too much outside of our website in which we have worked very hard to build and maintain.
in my case I vividly remember the years when there was no way I could afford to buy downloads, and made do with a collection of samples. Those days are well behind me now but I know there will be others in the same boat I was in back then.
I am glad to hear those days are behind you, however, we are a business with many overheads, a studio, business rates, water, electricity, heated dressing rooms, I could go on for quite a long time. Being frank, we do not get any form of charity discount from the government and are not here to provide freebies (even though we do), as harsh as that sounds. We are here to ensure we provide good value for our customers and that is why they always take priority, as again, they (along with ourselves of course) help fund the content. You wouldn't take items from your local supermarket without contributing to the store, which in turn pays the staff who work hard, the shelf stackers, packagers etc. Our models and producers work very hard to produce the content we all enjoy and we don't get the added reward of being wammers, so can't enjoy the results in other ways. Added to this, our devices are also on the higher side of running costs and we take this risk, yet have found a way to provide affordable ways to allow access to our content to everyone, be it streaming or downloading, so everyone who wants them can enjoy them.
Plus of course a steady supply of freebies brings more people to this site to see everyone else's plugs and advertising. It's in all our interestes to keep UMD as the No1 destination for all wammers, a fragmented commuinity is a weakened community.
You must remember that the UMD is also a business, running off advertising, commissions from download stores and other mediums, such as their VIP feature etc. That is perfectly okay and reasonable and provides a great service to consumers as well as producers who want to promote, that is why we take value in the paid advertising here.
Hence why I always include plenty of free samples in my own releases. I trust those who can afford to to buy the scenes anyway, esp as free pics will never really compete with high-def video.
Every producer will have their own system that works for their own unique circumstances. We have built to how it works for us which has progressed to getting to where we are today. In 10 years, from wardrobe to multiple studios, many devices, and getting bigger and bolder in our ambitions. Every business has differing circumstances, costs, overheads to consider etc.
We give away many free videos (at our own cost) and we have a store here, but driving too much free content only serves to the benefit of other producers who are more embedded within the community. We do not hide the fact that we are not wam fetishists and thus keep our respectful distance from debate or contribution unless it is to notify of updates or something that we can expressly contribute to (such as a producer topic).
We must be mindful that we will never be top download/top store here. This is because we focus all our fresh content on our website and own download store and only have UMD as a secondary archive store. This is again, to protect our financial interests as what we do will naturally cost more than other producers. This is a good thing however, as it provides more overall choice for consumers, but we will be an underdog on the UMD for that reason. Hence, not giving away too much and damaging ourselves.
I hope this answer all of your questions and all the best with your production

Agree completely with this - discussion is always better than reaction.

Thanks, appreciate the response. Nothing worse than those who seem to treat forums as "write only", never responding to anything, even direct questions. But TBH from your history I guessed you would reply.

Aha, you've misunderstood me. I'm not suggesting posting images with no idents, that'd be daft - but these images have two of them. A normal one top-left, *and* the massive view-blocking one in the lower centre. Which in this particular case is blocking the view of the leggings the post is promoting. That's what I was wondering about. Definitely not suggesting posting stuff with no ident, as you say, they end up scattered all over the Internet and people will want to know where they came from and who produced them, as we often see with people posting old pics and asking where they can find those scenes.

That's interesting, thanks for sharing it. My own taste is I always want to be sure I can see everything as it happens, but as you say, different people will have different key elements, sometimes entirely contradictory ones. Good to know.

Indeed, the Noel's House Party gunge tank was terrible for this, mainly because of the perspex door on the front. As someone who doesn't care about head-messing, I always wished they'd redesign it to spray gunge out sideways from the sides or corners, drenching the victim's outfit while leaving their head clean so we could see their reactions, and letting us see the mess happening. Seems the BBC weren't mind-readers though as they never took up the idea. (In reality it'd make cleanup much harder as all the extra pipework would need to be flushed out each time).

Again, I think you've slightly missed my point. I'm certainly not suggesting you give away free videos or entire photosets, or images without any idents at all, or anything like that, we all have businesses to run and bills to pay, and that comes from subscribers and download purchasers who we both agree should always come first. As I said above, the thing that triggered my post was seeing a huge and seemingly unnecessary *second* ident blocking the view of the actual outfit item the post was promoting. You've still not actually explained why the second idents are there? But fair enough if you're getting plenty of traction from those pics and promos, it obviously works for your business.

True but it's always best to link direct to the scene you're promoting, as it makes it easier for the potential customer to just make one click and purchase it, rather than having to mess about with searches, getting frustrated, and going somewhere else.
(admin mode) It's also actually a UMD requirement that links posted in promo posts should be direct to the content and not just to the site homepage, as UMD already adds all a producer's sites and stores in their signature bar anyway, so "just to the homepage" links are redundant - this was a recuring problem in the Wetlook forum with people repeatedly posting boilerplate ad links at one point, though MM and the mod team have successfully cracked down on that now. (end admin mode)
Liquid X said: I hope this answer all of your questions and all the best with your production
Thanks, it's answered some of them. TBH I may well buy that scene - and I also like the other car wash one you've recently promoted with the model in the long blue dress, and I see the promos for that don't have the huge second idents on them, which means we can see how the goo flows over the lower part of the dress.
Actually, update, I just bought them both, plus two more, the Apartment 19 Mechanic and Michaela's layered gunging. Easy process, they're downloading now.
Also to make clear, none of this is intended as knocking in any way (I realise as a fellow producer and site admin it could look that way), the "mystery of the huge idents" is something that had mildly bothered me for several years, just this particular promo tipped it over into "really should actually ask them about that." So thanks again for replying, and indeed, all the best with your new location and productions too.
To clear up the ident thing a bit further for you, in more technical terms; The top left is there anyway as they are screengrabs from the video. The bottom centre ones are added only to sample images as many platforms auto-shape images to square. Having a generally non-invasive centered logo at the bottom means they display on all devices and all platforms.
As an example; Instagram auto displays images as square (even if they are landscape) on some devices, so there would be no logo at all and no one would know where to find the content. We "mass ident" images all in one go every 3 months when scheduling as we don't have time to promote each week (generally speaking anyway). 90% of the time it's not masking anything or interferring in the content, but then that's why we'll tell viewers about the shiny leggings/footwear, so if it does, they can choose to click further and view if they so wish.
In an age when people are mass scrolling through data and reading text much less, we think it is advisable to use this method and it seems to work well. Most people are more than happy with it as it helps them identify the source quickly and easily.
Regarding the 'Issy Dress' video, that is an archive video promotion directly from the UMD store, which is independent from our website. The idents are not present as these are screengrabs directly from the UMD file. As these are automatically displayed in widescreen (and only on UMD and not wider social media), there is no need to watermark them further.
I hope that explains it better. We'd personally recommend all producers do this as a top tip. It does help, not just in informing consumers where to find your content, but also if someone wants to kindly tell you that you're content is being used without consent somewhere (not that we are overly bothered if someone is simply using one of our images as an harmless avatar/using as examples etc.)
And, regarding your comment about linking to direct products, we feature every new video at the very top of the website in what is called our 'hot box' graphic (or latest videos slider if on LXdownloads - though I note your comment about it sliding a bit too quickly for you). A lot of people simply like to add to cart/view straight from there. I think most people are more than happy to go direct to the home page and navigate themselves at free will rather than us forcing them to the direct product as a form of hard sell, people may just simply want to browse, see the pics/trailers before they buy so it seems the better option.

Aha! Ok, that does explain it. Personally I'm still not keen on anything that blocks being able to see the model's lower half (which for me are the "money shots" and hence the ones liable to make me want to buy a video - see my long running comments about models sitting with their legs crossed so the raised knee and leg blocks all view of their lap), but I do see your point, especially about services that crop images square.
(examples snipped for brevity but thanks for the extra info, I really must look at some of the newer platforms for promotion)

Fair point. I actually bought it off your own site, as I was there anyway, but makes sense.

Thanks for noting the slider point, but regarding linking, the reason I put (admin mode) on my comment above - direct linking to the content being promoted is actually a UMD requirement. Copied and pasted "boilerplate" text, plain homepage links in text, repeated text about sales and promotions, etc, are not permitted. Any links in the body of a promo post should be directly to the actual content being promoted. That way UMD offers a consistent user experience across all producers, someone sees something they are interested in, they know if they click any included links, they'll be taken directly to what they want to see (and hopefully buy). Your homepage links for all your sites and stores are already included in every post in the signnature line site thumbnails, so putting them in body text as well is unnecessary.
