Most people are aware of metadata (exif) in images and videos, however I've learned today that AI driven OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) moves beyond that, and is easily accessible. This will find your location based on things in the real world captured in your images.
AI doesn't need to recognize a landmark, it compares pixels to global satellite and street view instantly. What took hours of manual research last year now takes a second. Tools are available to do this now.
I want to test how possible this is, if anyone is interested and wants to give me permission, I would love to see how accurate these tools are.
The Fix: If you value privacy, check your images and videos. If a photo shows part of the real world behind you, assume your coordinates are attached to it. Delete or crop outdoor backgrounds now before these tools become even more autonomous.
