I had the same thought but in my version each chair would have a cake or pie on it so everyone gets to sit on something but then a die is rolled and the lucky number would get the what's in the box mess and that could be anything from another pie to slime to something savory

Two teams of three people per team.
Teams would be single-gender, and in the early rounds of the games both teams in an episode would be the same gender, so women's, non-binary's, and men's episodes. Later in the competiton the winners of various rounds might play against each other.

There would be lots of different games that teams play against each other, including physical ones, creative ones, and quizes.

Each team would wear matching clothes, in a range of different styles, provided by the show, for each game - and they'd get to wash off and change into clean outfits between each game, with the initial wash-off being on-camera. The losing team from each game would get gunge-tanks full of cold water and hosed down with fire-hoses, while the winning team would have uniformed assistants come out and wash and scrub them clean with warm water and soap, ending in a warm waist-deep bathing pool, during the course of which the uniformed assistants would get thoroughly soaked too.

The outfits available would vary from fancy formal gowns, smart officewear, casual sportswear, jeans and denim jackets, to work uniforms, overalls, and boilersuits. The main thing would be that all three team-members for each round would be dressed identically, but there'd be no requirement for both teams in an episode to pick the same thing. So you might have one team of women in overalls vs another team of women in office dresses, and so on.

There would be lots of different games, but one I'd like to see would be a quiz where one member of each team is nominated as "answerer", and the other two team members go into a mess booth. Every time the team's answerer gets a question wrong, something messy happens to the other two team members, and to make it more interesting, before each question the answerer gets to pick a forefit their team-mates will suffer if they get it wrong - with differing numbers of points for different forefits - so one team member getting a simple pie in the face might be worth one point, but both having their underwear filled with gravy might be worth 10 points. Answerer picks a forefit, and then gets asked a question. If they get it right, the team gets that number of points, if they get it wrong, then one or both of their team-mates suffer a messy fate.

At the end of the round, the completely clean answerer is put into the mess booth with their now-very-messy team mates, who are provided with the means to get their own back.
