I posted this picture in the"Helpless Hands" discussion. Its from SS146/4 with Alex and is one of the few times I can recall that Rich and a model really got into a piefight (not just the model's revenge single hit).
But 21 years? That WOULD cover a lot of ground. The very young man in SS01, to gray hair in 298 and ....glasses in 299?
So if you'd never thrown a pie at anyone before, what was the reasoning behind SlapstickStuff? Why did you start? Other than to make money, of course.

Hmm, interesting questions! I'll answer some of these.... 1) Alex was super fun and was bugging me the whole shoot about "getting revenge," but I wanted her to get properly messy as well, since she'd only done 3 scenes to that point. But I feel like there's quite a few coed piefights over the years? Shelly and I did a couple I think, cuz she was awesome and we were friends. ALL the scenes with Heather (SS189?) got coed because that woman was WILD! Honestly, without getting into the "old days," shoots were just looser and a little more fun early on. I'm not sure a model like Marisa would do a full coed piefight today (or SEVEN scenes total!) but back then it just happened!
2) I was "young" in 2004, but also already in my 30s, so I felt "old" compared to most of the models (who were almost entirely college-aged, MAAAAYBE a couple in their mid-20s). As the years went on, they got older... But unlike Matthew M, I did NOT stay the same age. Also I've had grey hair for at least a decade! But I usually color it, so if you spot a lot of grey, I'm lazy. And I've had to wear reading glasses since COVID, but I don't often wear them on camera.... It's getting harder to read the scripts tho!!
3) I'd never thrown a pie before SS01, but a lot of that was probably embarrassment. When it's your fetish, a simple pie booth isn't "just" a pie booth, right? But filming it properly for an actual shoot, with contracts signed and the model getting paid... Well, that was different. "Official." Respectable, even? As I'd mentioned before, I supported the work of a lot of producers before making my own: Robby, Neil, Phoebe, but also MessyFun and SSS/WAMTEC. But there was always that sense of, "No one's making what *I* want to see." So you do it yourself. That's the age-old origin story for everyone, right? The money wasn't even considered. I was just happy I was breaking even, but I certainly wasn't making any REAL money.... Until Soundguy approached me and asked me to join his new Vidown site. That changed a LOT, and I'm incredibly fortunate I was "right time, right place" with the rise of download stores. But I'm also lucky the early stuff still holds up. (Mostly thanks to the amazing women who agreed to participate, and again, my timing was great with the rise of independent non-agency models.) And in the end, I *did* make EXACTLY the kind of content I wanted to see... Not every time, because perfection is an impossible target... But close enough, often enough. I'm also glad a lot of folks had similar tastes to mine (albeit less fond of sexy tuxedos and top hats?). And all the people over the years who told me, "SS was the first WAM content I ever saw" or "When I wanted to introduce my partner to WAM, I showed her your videos".... That NEVER gets old.
Love that you made your dreams come true that day, and in the process made so many of ours come true, as well, for 21 years and counting.
That is so impressive.
I love your work, your taste in women and pies, so so much. I pledge to try and support you more with actual dollars in year 22. You are a legend and a god (and yet humble and still "one of us/a fan").
Congratulations Rich. I've been following your creation since day one.
It's fascinating to see the first video session because you clearly learned a lot from your first experience. At the same time you had a lot of ideas and techniques that you would carry forward.
You have done a lot in 21 years, and you wouldn't have done it if it didn't make you happy. Well you have made many people happy over the years. Hats off to you!
Yes, congratulations Rich to one of my faves. Sorry Rob Blaine isn't around to congratulate you in person. Those first five scenes with Liz were not a bad start. I was so inspired, I bought the Naomi 230 scene. Those legs and that body, what a winner! I'm buying the bundle of her more recent stuff this weekend. She's a firecracker to say the least. Again, Rich, you're the champ with the hottest models and, umm, the best scripts?!?!?! WTFG and congratulations on 21!!! Now, if I could just get you to help me convince my wife to do another pie shoot with me... HAHAHAHA
An absolute titan of the WAM world with an absolutely absurdly great pedestal of scenes that can be rightly held up as the peak of the medium. You deserve every bit of fanfare and praise made here Rich and should be rightly proud of what you've done. As you mention the fantastic women you've shot with absolutely made it but it takes tow to tango! And so you truly bought the best out of em.
I've mentioned it before so wont get too overly soppy with it but ya vids helped me come to terms with my broader sexuality and for that I'm immensely grateful (im sure it wasnt ya plan to help fix up and drug addled 19 year old back in 2017 but it occurred nonetheless lol).
Adding my "Thanks Rich" to the messages here. Probably not as glib as some but thankful for your work. I was about to enter my fifties when you were starting. Funny how age can give different perspectives. I was thrilled when I got to see any WAM content in my earlier years. So I can remember when seeing Natalie Wood being the only female in the scene but still thrilled by seeing her receiving so many good hits. I envy younger guys who did not have to settle for small miracles like that because producers made content that featured more hits and less males in the picture. Then Rob followed. Neil caught my attention. But then you took the ball and have ran it into the end zone so many times. I still treasure everything from the early cheerleader in her real uniform, the wedding dress and slime, the top hat and tails and of course those wonderful gold shorts. To me, it all starts with a beautiful model in nice clothing getting it completely messed up. You have made such a wonderful visual spectacle of taking models from squeaky clean to totally messed up. And your content keeps getting better. I still like the set ups and the mess. The female form looks so great encased in mess, but gets even better when the weight of the mess causes the clothing to fall, even better. That goes for any excuse you can find for making the clothing disappear after it is thoroughly trashed. Happy 21st and looking forward to many years to come.
I purchased all 5 scenes with Liz in Volume 1 for a small price so thank you. I have been around nearly as long as you, but this is actually the first time I have evet spent any money for something here on the UMD (and the second time I have posted a message on the forum). I was waiting for the right one to come along. Please consider it my birthday gift to you. You have always impressed me with your candor and attitude. Thanks for opening up this world to, well....., the world. Happy 21st, Rich.
Congrats, Rich! I think your personality goes a long way into making your models comfortable and your videos great. If I attempted the same thing, I think my nervousness or awkwardness would totally creep them out.

Holy cow..... Yep, that was the beginning for sure! (Raise your hand if you knew that I was writing WAM fiction back in the 90s....)
Raise your hand if you even know what the alt-fetish newsgroup was!
I was a couple of years later in discovering Slapstick Stuff (2006 is the earliest record I have) and it wasn't the first pie video I purchased, but today I have far more SS vids than by any other producer. As the saying goes, money talks.
Congratulations to you sir! Your stuff was my gateway drug to all this beautiful insanity. If I hadn't found the trailers to your early work on YouTube back in the day, my life would've been much more boring. Many thanks to you, Liz, Capucine, Tracey, Deana, Toshia and all the other ladies that made SlapstickStuff one of the best.

Did I post that on the alt-fetish newsgroup?!?
I believe so. I didn't frequent such groups back then, but I probably found out about it through this place. 'Rachel Ross' was definitely a favorite, along with a story, the author of which I can't recall, about a tall blonde American who gets cast in a Stooges-style comedy in Japan, 'Kim' something, and ends up getting the full slapstick treatment.
I probably started following your work from around volume 5. It was amazing to watch it get better and better over time. But you always had a great eye for slapstick wam. So even the early stuff is fantastic.
In my opinion, you hold the equal top spot for best producer of all time (tied with messygirl.com).
I remember you took a short break at one point. What a dark day for the wam world.
Late to the party, but happy belated birthday! I've been tracking your stuff since SS36 but for whatever reason didn't quite process at the time that it was an active website making sales and not an archive, so when SS37 came out and I realized that there would be MORE, well, I was hooked.
Kudos to the brand you've cultivated and the fundamental good vibes that permeate everything you do. I don't know you outside of this tiny fetish world, but in all of your videos, all of your posts, and any DMs I've been a part of, you've always come off as chill and decent. In this world, some producers can get skeevy real fast, so props to you for always keeping things legit.
Congratulations, Rich! Accomplishing just one video is impossible for so many. Lasting a year at this is far-fetched. To make it 21 years and still going strong is nothing short of legendary. Be proud of yourself.
Wow! Time sure is fun when you're having flies! Seems like it was only yesterday when this crazy guy started flinging pies and other confections on beautiful women. You are a legend in the WAM world now, Rich. Hope to see you for at least 20 more years!
Congratulations on 21, Rich! Your models are consistently among the most beautiful in WAM. Your pies and production style are top notch and awesome. Your great sense of humor that is evident in your scenes is an added bonus. The WAM world has been fortunate to have you producing so many amazing volumes and content these past 21 years. Thank you!
