When it came up in the moderation queue it appeared to be a messy nude image so rejected. Bear in mind when images appear in the queue there's no context or other information, it's just a list of random images. Anything that appears to be nude, or where it looks as if the people featured were nude when the image was taken (regardless of emojis or cute poses or quantities of goo blocking direct view of breasts/genitals) gets rejected. Given the on-going operation of the site depends on us getting this right, I tend to err on the side of caution, if I can't tell if something is nude or not, assume it is and reject.
Seeing the context now, that it was posted on FB, presumably it's not nude as FB don't allow that, but that info wasn't available at the time.
TBH if anyone wants to be able to upload freely and without restrictions or delays, all they need to do is verify their account, which bypasses the moderation queue completely.

Which involves uploading a driver's license or state ID, which for any number of reasons, a lot of people on here aren't going to be comfortable doing. At some point not too far in the future I suspect another forum or forum(s) will appear for messy and wetlook that are not used for selling material but for discussion and appreciation of pictures (freely available, of course, I'm not talking about the theft Discords that exist). This would uncouple them from any CC-based rules, which just seem to be getting more and more restrictive and ridiculous every year.

The only ridiculous thing is that the tube sites never took any serious action to prevent the repeated uploads of illegal content which triggered all this. Video fingerprinting is a thing and could have massively reduced, if not completely stopped, the abuses that were happening. But they didn't, so here we are.
As to a non-commercial forum, the problem with that is going to be who would pay for it? If it allows photo uploads the bandwidth charges to the site owner will be $$$ a month, if it allows video, make that $$$$. If it gets majorly popular, add several more digits to those figures. These days it's very easy to set up cloud services for almost anything, but as soon as you get more than about ten users, the fees go through the roof.
As to privacy, I've long taken the view that every major security service in the world already has everyone's banking details, ID documents, porn tastes, personal contacts, who we all message, text, email, who we hang out with, fall out with, the works. Verifying an ID with UMD will make precisley sod-all difference to that.
The on-line privacy ship sailed 20+ years ago and isn't coming back. Anyone believing they have any true anonymity on-line is deluding theselves. As yet the authorities can't actually process everything they have access to, but as AI advances, they will soon be able to do so, within a couple of years probably. We are already living in a digital panopticon. It's just most people haven't really woken up to that yet.

I totally agree with you. The other day a GIF of the face of Jayce was removed in one post of mine... I still don't understand. I was said that I need to veify account, but, nowadays, having in mind that hackers are stealing private info from very serious companies, I'm not gonna risk my privacy for nothing... I'm here for decades now, and censorship is increasing year after year...
