Update: The idiots twins are returning to Chega Mais. If you scan further down the comments section of the Instagram link (above) you will see that one of the idiot twins ("tadeu_lenhardt") chimes in and confirms that he's returning.

Last week was pretty light on decent pies. Even if the guys take 70% of them, I just hope we get a few good ones on the women's side. At the very least, Nadia is going to get a few.

As far as Curly goes, it doesn't really matter how many he takes. The limit is on time, not on frosting. Also, from my perspective at least, I prefer for the women to take pies as a punishment, not just as some random "let's all pie the girl for the sake of it."

On the one hand, there were a ton of good pies this week. On the other hand, the guys actually did get around 60-70% of the pies...

Also, the hair pies are impeccable.

(a) Curly/Kotter/Horshack/Screech again took in excess of 10 pies today!!

Can a Portuguese speaking friend please explain what's being said? Why did he get pied at the podium AGAIN by all the men?


(b) Nadia clearly knew that she was going to receive a two pie punishment. They promoted it in the opening minute of the show and again later.

It took this show nearly 12 months to give us a female on female pie-ing but it was overshadowed by Curly/Kotter/Horshack/Screech getting pied by every male for the second week in a row.

(c) Many new girls. It was hard to keep track of what transpired. Some were cute and entertaining. Another one nearly cried.

So if we just assume at this point that CurlyFuck and Beardy are absolutely useless (16 pies and a balloon between the two of them)... It was a fairly even game otherwise. I'm still waiting for a day when every female gets pied (not today) but a couple milestones reached:
1) First time a female EVER pied another female,
2) First time NO female got a balloon (did anyone else think balloons had finally been eliminated? I guess they had pity on CurlyFuck after the 12th pie),
3) First time a female has ever been pied (weakly, but it counts) as the credits roll. (There's been about 3-4 guys already.)

I can't keep up with all the new girls this week, but it amuses me to no end how a newbie can absolutely OWN a guy when the ones who have been there forever STILL can't pie a girl correctly. (Lots of "Phantom Of The Opera" pies today, which is basically a poor pieing.)

Best trends for the show: Almost 100% pies (save Curly)... Lack of female wiping (Nadia's pieing was "eh" considering all the buildup, but her standing there afterwards still covered was worth it... And New Julia as Smurfette might be her finest moment)... And quite a bit of aftermath shots.

Best new find: Old Julia 2.0... Pair her against somebody who actually gives a damn about answering questions & can pie correctly (not Beardy) and we're golden. Great attitude.
Best new find that won't be coming back: The blonde who freaked out and got owned by Token... Twice. Unless they need a Barb 2.0? But Token nailing her in mid-rant was priceless. Just wish they would let him be smart consistently.
Best under-utilized: Victoria, yet again. Super-hot, great attitude, and once again a lot of buildup... to a half-assed pieing. Guys, watch the tape of this week where you got repeatedly OWNED by newbie girls. Copy what they do. Cool?

Worst waste of oxygen that almost makes you miss the Idiot Twins: CurlyFucker... For the 8th week running!!

Seriously guys, this is bad for your blood pressure. I just fast forward the fucking guys part and focus on the chicks.

Towards the end of their run, the twins were answering a good number of their questions correctly and were dishing out some great pies.

Can we talk about how Cool Julia smeared blue frosting all over her neck, chest, and arms? And then just stayed that way for the rest of the show, mean-mugging the camera like half of that time? Also Dani's yellow pie was absolutely brilliant.

When this show is good, it's fucking great.

I think you're mis-remembering. Their FINAL episode, they both stayed clean. (Because this was the infamous, "Oh shit, the women are missing every question, let's end the whole thing after one round" show.)
In the month or so before, both of them were getting minimum 2 pies a week, and often WAY more. Or have we forgotten this??

Granted, their pie-clown antics have recently been overshadowed by Supreme Idiot Curly, who, in the absence of looks, charm, personality, or comic timing... is apparently gonna achieve his popularity by letting his own teammates cover him in frosting every week until SOMEONE loves him DAMMIT!!

So yeah... Even at their worst, Idiot Twins were never taking 12 pies a week... EVERY WEEK. On the flipside, before he was carrying the entire bulk of Male Idiocy on his scrawny shoulders, Curly could actually answer questions correctly more often than not AND pied the hell out of quite a few girls (even Barb!!).

Worst-case scenario: Idiot Twins return, try to show up Curly, and every woman stays clean after all 36 pies are used up on these three clowns.

NuJu was MVP, Barb 2.0 was Best One-and-Done (because, obviously), New Brunette was the ONLY girl who took 2 solid pieings (lots of good singles tho), and Julia 3.0 is Find Of The Week. Bring her back, preferrably NOT against Beardy, AKA D'Lucca. (Motto: "Two things I will never do... Attempt to answer a question correctly, and skip a week.")

Context is everything with this show.

The pie hits on the women are so much more enjoyable (IMO) when it's an act of revenge for a previous pie-ing.

You won't know it's an act of revenge if you only watch edited videos.

Pie hits on Barbara are epic because she's such a pain in the ass. But you'd have to watch the full segment to know that and fully appreciate them.

If a guy has pie on his face/hair/arms then it's revenge.

why did that one chick run out of the studio last week?

It was to add fake drama to the show.

Probably a third as well, notice in the last seconds Token has a blue pie and is making a beeline for her at the back of the set - unfortunately cut off, BTS pics maybe?

Otherwise, another solid week, some newbies with personality to go with looks, always nice. Solid hits on all but Duda, even split again on bonus pies I think. CM '16 lets go!

As to Curly, the hatred from Rich seems a tad overly fierce (was he a dick to you in Brazilian high school or something?) considering

1- He was/is one of the better male pie-ers (of the long term guys, I'd say he and Token are probably the most reliable)

2- His newer antics may involve him getting tons of pies, but at least they aren't talking away from female pieings. When a white knight pies himself instead of his female counterpart, we lose a female pieing. When Curly gets hit by 10 pies by his own team, all we lose is 45 seconds of airtime. We know it's never going to happen similarly to a girl, so this doesn't change our expectations and it doesn't really hurt the content we want to see.

Which is not to say he's not complete and utter toolbox (he is), just that I find it easier to rationalize/ignore/practice cognitive dissonance with regards to things that don't actively hurt the female pie count. (What dance contest with pies at the beginning of the show? You're crazy man.)

Something about the blatant way Curly seems to be "courting" attention by just taking every pie possible annoys me, I guess. He also had a "bit" before this where he held up the towel over his face to "dodge" the pie and laughed... And of course Bojack destroyed him with more pies after. But the look on his face.... The guy might seriously be mentally unbalanced.

Beyond that... He "white knighted" last week, so yeah, that happens TOO.

I guess he's not worse than the twins, but I fear that the longer he follows in their footsteps, the more we lose his only "asset" (that he can pie well). I mean, he went 0-for-3 today BEYOND the 10-pie "bonus." Last week he basically did nothing too. If the show is gonna turn him into Stooge #1, eventually he's no longer allowed to get a question right, similar to what happened with the twins....

D'Lucca is still the worst tho. He went from being one of the best guys for pieing (most of the Sabrina hits are his) to barely even pretending he's trying to get the question right. Tonight his opponent was young and cute and willing and he basically didn't show up. (Wait... He half-assed pied her at the end! That makes up for it...?) It wouldn't be so annoying, except that he NEVER misses a week. (I think he and Curly are lifetime. They literally have no other career options.)

[EDIT: A customer just sent me an IG link of some pics from a forthcoming show, and sure enough Curly has the remnants of THREE pies... AND he's getting ballooned by new girl Karla... who is 100% clean. Which kinda proves my point that eventually his commitment to Idiocy prevents him from being any asset at all.]

This record audience was set without the idiot twins or Barbara. Apparently the show can survive without them.

I will no longer try to predict ratings based on the number of Instagram and FB comments as my accuracy is about 50%.

I'd pay to see "CurlyFuck" translated into Portuguese.

Of all the "trends" they could've kept going on this game, they pick the absolute worst one imaginable. CurlyFuck has now taken more pies in the month of February than EVERY SINGLE FEMALE COMBINED IN 2016. (And it's not even close....)
