We're living in a time of more amateur and television WAM moments unparalleled in history. There is just so much of each out there. We have access to foreign shows and Brazil in particular is pumping out weekly pie scenes which are outstanding. And it's all free. That's got to be a factor on some level.
Other than that, I do find it interesting that a man can come out as a Transgender and as a Republican on the same day and the outcry was hatred and vitriol... over his political beliefs.
Times are a changing, I guess. Call me old school but I like my liberals tolerant of others beliefs instead of these modern day aggressive neo-Liberal types. Pee-yew.
Wow...guess i opened up a whole can o' worms with my innocent question.
"Sorry about that chief"
Anyways, I am seeing now that the store closings are equally, if not more so, here in the US (my sample bias missed this obvious fact)...and related to the UMD store and new tax reporting rules here in the US.
I declare all my royalties each year thanks to my thorough and efficient web host (soundguy), granted, in earlier years, when web enterprising was new, I never thought to do this (nor did the gov pursue taxing these "profits").
I am a bit surprised by all the political vitriol and insults (though less so, now that I think about the rabid partisanship that is dividing our already pluralistic union)...
One note to jinxguy: left wingers generally have no problem AT ALL with a person's alternative sexuality, gender kinks, fetishes or other erotic desires...not sure where your criticism/comment is coming from...as in general (noting only a cultural trait AND with apologies to the more moderate/enlightened conservatives here on the UMD)...it is conservatives (the so-called "right") that are typically intolerant or judgmental about sexuality issues/identities (CD or transgendered or LGBT-identified, whatever)...
To Enigma: 'neo-liberal' as a term usually refers to an aggressive economic ideology (pro-capitalist expansionism, etc.)...I am not sure how you came up with this description or the fact that you consider this 'type' to be bigoted in some way against alternative (sexuality) culture types (?)...it does not jibe at all with my experiences with real-world people. Perhaps you could PM me and clarify what you mean (as opposed to dragging this thread deeper into a partisan storm).

Not surprising. The Republicans have painted themselves into a corner that only the dumbest of us are willing to enter.

PRESIDENT Obama - in difficult times - is the best thing that could have happened for America. And in the words of President Obama, "GOD Bless You All, & GOD Bless, The United States Of America!"
Let me guess.... you were one of the people who swooned and fainted at his campaign stops, weren't you?
Stop with the overly political nonsense, people. It is what it is, things have changed, and until we change it back, we have to deal.
For what I'd recommend: Many have voiced that the name "Loverbuns" really is something we'd not want associated with their income/statements etc. I feel it'll be mutually beneficial if there's another account set up / reported in a more professional/anonymous name for tax / audit purposes. I'm all for doing things to keep the community close, not giving people a reason to do business elsewhere, as this simple thing has sadly done.
We don't want to get in trouble with the IRS, but it's a real shame to lose so many contributors due to this.
