Hi, well I play simple, fun games in a inflatable pool (or Tub) with a messy twist, The games involve messy stuff like Shaving foam, baby oil, baby lotion, soap etc, making it messy, slippery and harder to play. I dont play with food, its not my thing to become edible.
Tub It Large started out as a college project, our task was to make a few short comedy style videos, we came up with a sort of game show idea. As a result, 'messy games show' was born, however it didnt turn out very well so we ended up scraping it, to do something different, shame.
Some time later after sorting out my media life, I came across the files stored away and thought to 'replay' this fun.
I've been a fan of gunge and WAM for years and I've taken inspiration from gameshows like Pump It Up, Fun House, GYOB, Run the Risk etc, y'know classics from the 90's and beyond and sort of missed the gunge era on TV thereafter.
The standard bucket of gunge poured over the head thing is cool don't get me wrong and will Im sure feature in Tub It Large a lot in the future, but I wanted to do something different and unique that not many people had done or were doing.
I first played some games in a pool with some exercise balls covered in baby oil. The game was to pick up 4 massive slippery balls whilst covered head to toe in baby oil at once without dropping them (Im not gay btw), the video quality was sh*t, (thanks WindowsMM) :/ so ended up not using it.
After that though, I enjoyed it and started coming up with fun games to play, and recorded it. Who knows what next though, currently working on a Youtube channel so perhaps collabs and viral challenge videos IDK.

I love the idea behind this way of getting messy. It's always more enjoyable to see people getting messy with a kind of back story for the scenario rather than just flinging mess about. Really looking forward to seeing more of your stuff, especially if the goggles and swimming caps keep featuring
Thank you any ideas for what games you would like next? Or what mess to use? (I play games with foam, baby oil/baby lotion, sun cream, soap, gel etc) or what inflatables I could use...I have wammers block atm!
First, love the idea around what you're doing..looks a lot of fun and I d certainly check out a you tube channel of your work. I m a bit of a newbie to this site so apologies if this sounds daft but re mess to use..would something like Gelli baff work?
This is a cool idea! I've done similar things in a large inflatable pool with plenty of foam. You can get sets of giant inflatable boxing gloves with matching inflatable headguards/helmets. These are great fun to play with - you can fill the helmets with gunge or foam and squish them over your head!
Thank you all! Nice work, got a few new ideas/games in mind for Tub it Large in and out the pools. I'd say Gelli Baff or any messy stuff would work to play games, as long as it makes it slippery, messy and fun to give the games more of a challenge. Plus I've found using 'fresh messy' products (like baby oil, baby lotion, foam etc) the session almost cleans itself as you play getting covered in it.
