I've been trying to purchase clips on here using my debit mastercard from my bank for a couple years. the purchases have been denied each time. i thought maybe it was just that card, so today i got a real credit card in the mail. i tried to use it to make the purchases i've been waiting to make. same results. is anyone else having trouble buying clips on here? i wonder how many purchases producers, including myself, are missing out on. i know this is off topic, but i wasn't sure where to ask.
No, have never had an issue with Epoch. Weird that is happening to you. Is everything aligning? Could be an address issue or something that throws off the validation?
not that i'm aware of. i've lived at the same address and had the same phone number for years. it's all correct on my accounts. i thought for sure having a real credit card instead of a debit card would solve the problem. both cards work fine everywhere else.
I have had multiple problems with Epoch!! I have been on other sites away from UMD and had heaps of troubles. Even had to contact my bank and tried to sort these out!! I then went to a different bank and opened another account and this fixed it to some degree!! Also it can be the type of account/ card with your bank Debit or Credit, normal saving acc, etc.....???

You said you tried to use the new credit card the day you received it. Had you activated it before you tried to make the purchase?
I have never had an issue with using my Visa credit card with Epoch. As for Debit Visa and Debit Mastercard, the vendor (Epoch in this case) must sent up their use with their credit card processing service. Debit Visa cards are fairly common but Debit Mastercards are not all that common, so it is possible that Epoch has not been set up for them.
Another thing that throws Epoch into a tizzie is that if you have a UK based Paypal account, it refuses to contemplate doing business with you. This is despite there being a 'pay by Paypal' button on their sites. It really is a bummer. Recently my bank changed from Visa to Mastercard. I can't wait to hear the problems that throws up. It seems that if you are not in the USA, then you are less important to them.
The credit card I use most often for WAM purchases doesn't work on Epoch. It's the card (bank), not Epoch: Some banks have tightened security to prevent scams, and for some reason identify Epoch as a potential scammer or scam enabler.
I just use a different card. Last time i tried to get something like this fixed by calling my bank, it took hours of frustrating calls. Not worth it.
Another option (which Soundguy has mentioned before) is to buy a pre-paid credit card. Apparently you have to make sure it's properly registered to yout address or lots of sites will reject, but it gives an option to have a different card, from a different bank, to make wam purchases with?

This happened to me so I changed cards have now VISA card with a different Bank.
Epoch - Also has had troubles here in Oz and I have to clear with my Bank any purchases.
