Been wondering as I'm pretty new to it all, what socials are good for WAM?
TT has been good to us thus far (once we learned the hoops to jump through), we've restarted/rebranded a couple of insta accounts and twitter accounts (tho 'X' is pointless unless you pay a billionaire $11 a month )...
But there are loads out there... so where do folks reckon is a good safe space out there on the interweb to check out?
The sex work industry is gradually expanding to Bluesky. I hope it continues. However for now most of the WAM content I consume on social media is through instagram. But tbf I'm not usually into anything X-rated. If X-rated WAM is your thing, you're gonna have a bad time on instagram lol
Seems BlueSky might be worth a look.... anywhere else anyone can think of? Couldn't wrap my head around Mastodon... is Threads any good or just an extention of insta?
Threads is just wine moms and corporate accounts being cute. I really hoped it would put some pressure on Twitter, but it seems like it'll end up being a dud.
Instagram is ok for Non-X rated stuff but as was said it's very easy to get banned as they use bots to do most of their checks, X is Ok I have not had any issues with blocking people they tend to stay gone once I block them but you have to make sure your settings are set so that they can't indirectly interact with your posts. I have not looked at Blue Sky yet and I have not bothered with the threads for Instagram either.
