Yup. After 8 years, the producer asked me a couple of weeks ago to shut down the store as of December 1st. I suggested a "last hurrah" sale or something, but I guess he decided to quietly slip away into the night.
Since I have to deal with this stuff EVERY GODDAMN DAY , let me once again offer a gentle reminder that all of your hard drives are failing RIGHT NOW. They will soon be dead and you will lose everything if you don't have at least one complete and up-to-date backup of all your files. At Vidown have the ability to reauthorize your previous transactions, but that only works if the store still exists exactly as it did when you made the purchase. In this case, all your prior purchases from PiedFaces are gone for good if your drive fails.
In the case of glamourgunge.com, they have a new store, but a few titles from their old catalog are still in place right where it's always been at http://glamourgunge.com . Not sure why the original poster isn't seeing it. The titles that they have already deleted are not available for reauthorization, so they are just as gone as if the catalog had been entirely shut down.
In a nutshell, backup up your shit. Right now. This minute. Tomorrow may be too late. Two hours from now may be too late. You can never have too many backups
