10 days ago, a delightful lady calling herself "Abby" made her introduction here (umd.net/profile/abby).
Now her profile no longer exists, and the few forum threads she started are deleted. What gives? I certainly hope the enthusiasm and well-wishing on our part didn't creep her out and scare her off...

This seems very likely. Fake profiles are so common and easy to create. Women also create fake profiles of other women to scam guys.
